week 2 ish - Jan 12
started on 25th. with seeds.. switched to weekend flush and moved weekly dates out by 4 days.. the second weekend we will consider Jan 12... and keep going on each Sunday,.
GSK looking short - could because of the way the stem wrapped around inside of the sponge in one loop..
WW has yellowed dead leaves...again...just like last time.. wondering if this group of seeds has issues.. if this round doesn't turn out well gonna ditch this batch of seeds.
Only using the two marshydro lamps for now
week 3 - Jan 19
GSC - looking bushier and growing - still short - might be ready to top soon?
WW - looking better. still some slight color degradation in lower leafs. need to test ph.
Only using the two marshydro lamps for now - might be ready to turn on some extra blue light from the viparspectra burple light
2/1/20
Switched lights to 12/12.
Wonder Woman looks bad. Leaves are still turning yellow blotchy. Roots look great though.
Put up my screen (SCRoG) to allow plants to start growing through them
2/16/20
scrog continues to fill out well.. trimmed WW waaaay back - basically just two stems to keep the roots from rotting and keep it out of the way of GSC.
2/23/20 lots of stretching... broke one stem trying to bend it over to a new square in the scrog - so I won't be doing any more bending! everything else looking good.
2/29/20 Happy Leap Year Day! lots more hair and flowers forming - smell has increased a good bit - not skunky yet but just veggie and humid. But keeping humidity in check - in the 40s. the dehumidifier should be coming today... the last piece to add to the closet.
Mid last week my plant began to yellow. My initial diagnosis was nitrogen deficiencies. I flushed on Thursday and started over with fresh nutes hoping whatever was wrong would be fixed (maybe I fucked out the ratio or something).
Day by day the yellowing continues to worsen. Upon reading and consulting with friends it appears it is light burn. I have 2 x130 watt mars-hydro sp150s running over 6-8 sqft. also had the lights low - about 6-8" of the canopy. I was measuring LUX with my LUX meter and hitting around 50-66k lux which many sites suggest. But it looks like this is just way too much given the reduction of metabolism during late-phase flowering. At least that's my current hypothesis.
So - I have raised the lights to 18" and reduced to just one light.
Mars Hydro suggests 12-18" above the canopy - I should've gone with that recommendation. I might be over reducing at this point but I am desperate the leaf death hasn't gone to far.
This is my last fix - hope this one works. I hope the plant recovers with 3-4 weeks of flowering to go. We shall see.
everything is back on track - it was 100% too much light. Live and learn I guess. So now I have an extra light - whatever shall I do with it :)
Buds look great and are really thickening up - love this advanced nutrients Big Bud and Overdrive addons. Seems like they really are helping get the buds bigger and fatter.
Can't wait to see what my yield is compared to my first grow - which was around 5 oz for 1 plant.
After this week - probably 1 more and then I'll flush for a few days...
8th week and she's looking really good. Buds are getting noticeably fatter and bigger. The trichomes are really coming on strong as well - you can easily see them from several feet away. will considering doing one more full week of flower phase at the end of this week.
