PortOnwardsGoat Moved the LED father away as the first set of leaves appeared stressed. Also dialled the LEDs way down as another plant was showing signs of light stress (twisting leaves) QB @ 100W

PortOnwardsGoat Brought the LED back closer again after doing some reading and turned them back up. Also changed the light schedule to 18-6, don't think it makes much of a difference with autos but worried about stress. QB @ 120W

PortOnwardsGoat Had some serious signs of light stretch this week, and probably dropped the ball while trying to figure out the quantum board and being busy with xmas. Bought myself a lux meter and a kill-a-watt thing and although its not as accurate as a par meter it, it was obvious that I dialled it back too far. Turned the QB up to match 'good' lux readings on GWE but will closely monitor over the next few hours and days. Few hours later and tips are burning. Dialled back to 25KLux and 150w. QB @ 150w

PortOnwardsGoat Start of the week ================ Started flowering this week but there were signs of pre-flower last week. Began using flower nutes and started seeing signs of a deficiency in the lower parts of the plant a few days later. Believed to be an N deficiency but I've taken to reddit to ask for advice. The main stem has gotten really tall now. Lesson learned on managing light better. Because its grown so tall I've had to re-jig my lights to allow for the extra growth and a 18-20 inch gap to my lights to prevent stress + burn. But been dabbling with the brightness to keep a 30kLux brightness on the canopy. Noticed I had quite a few bud sites that weren't really getting much light and were hugging the main stem. I never really wanted to do any LST for my first grow, but decided to dabble with it a little to try and maximise lighting to those sites. Also trying a little LST with the main stem but unfortunately its all a bit late for that now. The stem is pretty big and feel I risk snapping it if I try too hard. Not confident enough yet to super crop either, and its flowering now anyway so don't think I should start messing around. End of the week =========== After heading to reddit to ask some questions regarding what I thought was Nitrogen deficiency, I've since decided it might have been a magnesium deficiency and also that I may have been under watering. I've always sided on caution when watering to not water too much as overwatering seemed to be a common issue. Decided to increase nutes, add some epsom salts and give the plant a good watering till I got a fair amount of run off. I felt this may have over watered the plant massively but it didn't show any signs of that. It was also he first time I've properly had the opportunity to PH the runoff and it was around 6.8PH, so the next watering was slightly reduced PH. The damaged leaves won't recover so I decided to trim them so I could keep an eye on progression of the deficiency. Turns out theres still a bit of an issue at the end of the week. See photos. Also removed the LST as the plant has slowed its growth.

PortOnwardsGoat Start of the week ============= Still seeing signs of deficiency on the lower new growth leaves. A few imperfections on some of the leaves but nothing I'm worried about at the moment. A plant sharing the space of different strain but same nute schedule is showing similar deficiencies, so just need to fine tune the nutes. Would really like to nail down exactly what this deficiency is this week. Well and truly into flower now and started cranking out those bloom nutes. I didn't mention last week but trying watering with cheap supermarket mineral water to see my tap water is causing any issues. Been having issues bringing down the humidity in the tent, I've had a dehumidifier running in the space around the tent for months, but when trying to reduce the humidity for flower the dehumidifier struggled to even make a dent when it's previously been fine. Bought a new smaller one (these things expensive!) and running them side by side which is helping but nowhere near the 45% humidity I want. Last week I watered with 3L for an appropriate amount of run off after it appeared I may have been under watering and then top up two times with 1L when the top inch of soil felt dryish, then water with 3L and repeat. EG something like 3L, skip a day, 1L, skip a day, 1L, skip a day, skip a day, 3L. But obviously will continue to monitor. Going to continue on that pattern and being a bit more generous with my nute water. End of the week =========== Well scrapped the watering scheduling idea and now just watering when the top inch is dry as every beginners guide mentioned and watering till run off. Thats basically 4L every 2 days. Turned up bloom nutes to 4ml/L as I still think theres a slight nute deficiency. Now I'm actually getting run off, I'm keeping an eye on the PH of the run off and adjusting each water appropriately. So far soil has been consistently too acidic (low ph)

PortOnwardsGoat Sticking to a 4L every 2 day watering schedule. I get a little more than 10% run off. Also sticking to 4x4 on the grow and bloom nutes as per the biobizz schedule for light mix. Yellowing of leaves appears to have stopped however a sister plan in a smaller pot appears to be still suffering, although that's most likely down to pot size and how many nutes the medium can hold. Tempted to try +1ml/L more bloom nutes next watering. Water going in has been PH'd to 6.8 as the run off was 6 which was a little concerning. I'll continue to monitor and adjust. QB@150W

PortOnwardsGoat Due to the acidic medium, I decided to water with 6.5 PHed water (no nutes) instead of a normal nute feed for one cycle. The next feed the nute water was 6.8PH and the run off was 6.5PH, much better than 7-6 I'd had in the past few feeds. Also started to show signs of too excess nutes, so I've reduced the grow by 1mL/L
