Sprouted after being in the growing medium for a few days. As this is my first grow I didn’t want to cause any future stress or problems for the plant so I went ahead and planted straight into a 7.5l pot although after some reading this may not be the best for the plant. I also lightly dosed with cal mag as I believe coco doesn’t have any nutrients already there and a percentage of cal mag will be lost in the coco so hopefully I’m not over feeding it. Day 2: all seems to be going well half of the shell has shed and the stem has straightened itself upwards rather than being bent over. The stem is slightly purple so I’m thinking there maybe a great drop in temperature at night time. Quick check of temps etc at the end of the day and the rest of the shell has been shed and it’s started to open up. Day 3: I’m happy with the progress so far the only concern I have is one of the true leaves (I think this is correct terminology) is growing on top of the cotyledon leaf. As expected over the day the plant has started to stretch out and is no longer on top of the cotyledon. Day 4: Not much has changed just an increase in size. Day 5: A slight increase in leaf size and height. I can also see the next set of leaves popping out. Overall I think the plant is progressing well. Day 6: I can’t see any noticeable changes in the plant just growth. Although the leaves seem to be pointing upwards slightly so I did some reading and it’s a 50/50 with some people saying it can be rectified by lower temps/watering/moving light further away and others saying it means the plant is healthy and is growing fine so as the plant is still looking healthy and growing I’ll let it continue and see how it progresses. Day 7: growth seems to have slowed down and this may be to do with my temps and rh. During the day I can keep the temps and rh between 20-27 and 50-70%. At night time it ranges from 16.1-27 and 50-99%. With out a dehumidifier I’m unsure how to control the rh getting that high. Today I have given a light dose of calmag and grow.

Day 8: not much to say there is only slight growth and maybe a slight yellowing. I’ll check up later and update. I think slow growth and slight yellowing maybe the result of too much water. The coco is very moist and packed together so I’ll allow alot more time before watering again. Then again it is my first grow so perhaps it’s growing as fast as it should be and I’m potentially overthinking things and should just let the plant do what it’s meant to do. Please feel free to comment any advice is welcomed. Day 9: the plant is generally looking a bit better and the new set of leaves is starting to take shape. Day 10: not much to say today there’s been some growth but not much. I still think it is growing very slow for a auto strain and believe it should have developed a lot more than it has already. Day 11: some more growth and I can see the next set of leaves popping out. One of the leaf tips is curling upwards I believe this could be from heat so I have adjusted my fan and hopefully resolved the problem. After adjusting the fans the leaves have stopped curling upwards. Growth seems to be speeding up. Day 12: growth has really picked up now the leafs have developed fingers and the new set of leaves is looking a lot bigger. Thanks for the advice, after no more watering things have started to pick up. As usual the photos don’t do it justice. Day 13: I’m happy with the progress she’s gotten a lot larger since yesterday and new foliage is looking a lot clearer. The only negative I’m picking up is that one of the leaves is missing a finger. I’m hoping I can put off watering until day 15 where I will start feeding the plant bloom and topmax. The coco is still looking and feeling relatively moist and the pot is fairly weighted so I think it should be ok. Day 14: there’s been a little growth since yesterday but I’ve notice some slight white spots. I’m thinking this maybe from very high humidity. The coco has dried out a lot so i have very lightly watered them as I plan to start a proper feed tomorrow the beginning of week 3. End of day 14 and she’s looking very droopy, looking at the coco I’m going to assume I now have a under watering problem and have watered earlier than I planned too. Hopefully tomorrow will show positive reactions.

My seedling is 9 days old now and growth is extremely slow. The stem is a red colour and the leaves are a slight yellow. This is my first ever grow and I just can’t figure it out. I would be grateful if anyone could give me some advice.

yes man your observation was right, very nice approach for a first grow.as you rightly said,it is from overwatering a little bit.since its roots are too small for now,no need to water much.just pour where you think its roots reached. 0.5lt of water would be ideal.and you can increase grow nutrient rates,my advice.good luck

Day 15: after feeding some water yesterday the leaves are now standing back up. Although growth has slowed down again hopefully she’ll start to pick up over the next days to come. My only hope is that she has enough water, the coco is very dry around the edges but I have a moist area around the plant. I’m very hesitant to water anymore as I don’t want to go back into overwatering. There’s definitely been some growth since this morning and I’m happy with today’s progress. There is still some leaves with white markings on them and I’m leaning more towards this being from spray misting them during the day as the water magnifies the light. I’ll try to spray them less often and also spray them while the light is off rather than on. Day 16: not much to say today other than there’s been plenty of growth. The smaller set of leaves is looking a lot bigger and there’s another new set popping through. Very happy with the progress. I seemed to have some issues with temps etc but I think I have it all under control now. Lots of growth today, the leaves are pointing upwards again but are looking good so i just think the plant is growing happy again. Day 17: nothing to say other than there’s plenty of growth happening. While checking the soil I noticed a lot of roots near the surface and I definitely disturbed some. I think this could be from planting too close to the surface but I have gone ahead and added some more coco to the pot so now the plant looks very short. Day 18: very happy with the progress she’s looking very healthy and visibly larger. Up close I can see lots of new growth so I think she’ll really start to take off in the coming day’s. Day 19: plenty of growth since yesterday. the plant seems to be developing lots of new leaves all over so I’m hoping she’ll start to get larger soon. She still seems quite slow compared to other grows of the same strain but she is looking healthy and growing so I’m happy with it. She’s starting to look a little droopy so I’ve given some water. I’m thinking now she’s getting bigger she’s using a lot more water. Day 20: not much to say she’s starting to stand back up tall and developing plenty. Day 21: she’s growing very nicely, plenty of growth and development. I watered today with calmag and grow, watering a larger area than normal. I’d like to say the roots should now be reaching outwards more. Perhaps this is the reason behind slow growth. Slight drooping on a couple of the leaves and they also look a lighter green/slight yellow so hopefully she’ll show a positive reaction later today. The next thing will be buying another ph meter to ensure correct ph levels.

Day 22: slight growth since yesterday she’s grown slightly in height so I’ve very lightly started to LST. Hopefully I haven’t done it wrong🤪 couple leaves are still curled down slightly but generally she’s looking okay so I’ll have to see what happens next. Day 23: she’s growing but slowly. The curled down leaves aren’t as curled as yesterday which is a positive. Extractor and carbon filter are on the way so hopefully once I’ve got it setup the air circulation will be much better and the plant will start to thrive. After looking through a few diaries I’ve adjusted my lst tying down the bottom and bending over in the other direction. Hopefully tomorrow shows a positive reaction. Day 24: she’s coming along nicely, the leaves are starting to stand back up again and she’s looking a better green. She looks like she’s responded okay to LST and hopefully this induces a little growth spurt. Day 25: huge amount of growth and improvement since yesterday very happy with the progress. Set up the exhaust fan yesterday and got a co2 bag so this must be working wonders for the plant. Day 26: nice amount of growth since yesterday. I’ll feed her later on today. Day 27: she’s grown nicely since yesterday although I’m suspecting a bad reaction to yesterday’s feed. The tips are looking slightly yellow and the leaves have gained dark patches. I’m not 100% sure yet so I’ll keep on eye on it. Day 28: still progressing nicely and everything is getting a lot larger. The leaves look better but still seem dark around the edges. I’ve done some more lst and she has reacted nicely to it stretching back out very quickly. Im not too concerned at the moment and I’ll see how she progresses in week 5. Any advice is appreciated.

Day 29: she’s progressed brilliantly in the last week. My only concerns are the darkening around the edges of leaves and after a lot of reading I think it maybe too much phosphorus so I’ve dropped the ph down to 6.0. Also new growth is slightly yellow but greens out as it gets larger so I don’t think I should be too concerned about it as of now. As a newbie I’m reluctant to take measures that maybe wrong and make things worse any advice is greatly appreciated! Day 30: she’s looking a lot better today the new leaves are a lot larger. I’ve pulled one of the ties out as the fabric pots have to much flexibility it’s pushing and pulling the plant and I don’t want to do unreversable damage so I’ve decided to let her grow straight up. I’ll focus more on lst in my other grow as it’s growing in a solid pot. Day 31: some growth since yesterday. Leaves seem to be starting to claw so I’ll keep an eye on it and treat it as needed. Day 32: slight amount of growth since yesterday. Although there is more going on underneath the canopy and she seems to be progressing nicely. After a bigger water yesterday she seems to be perking up and there’s less clawing going on. Many thanks for the advice! Day 33: huge amounts of growth since giving her a larger water so thanks to those for giving me advice. I have noticed a slight rust spot I think it is on one of the leaves but it only seems to have effected one. I think it maybe from getting a splash of water on it while watering so I’m not concerned just yet. I’ve added some sticky pads in the room to see if I can catch any pests as I’ve noticed something flying around. I can also see some small white hairs developing at the top, is this the start of pre-flower? Very happy with the progress! Day 34: again she’s grown massively overnight with lower growth growing a lot higher and a lot more white hairs appearing. I’ve caught one flying pest and can’t see anything else in the tent so hopefully the sticky pads will be enough for now. With all the white hairs appearing and the plant practically doubling in height would my next week be flowering or would it still be a veg week? Thanks and happy growing!😎 Day 35: again she’s grown massively growing roughly 2cm in under 24 hours. There’s a lot more lady parts appearing and I’m very looking forward to starting the next week as a flowering week. She’s growing that quickly I’m having to adjust the lights very frequently. As I start a new week tomorrow I’ll update other figures then. Happy growing!

Can anyone give me any advice on watering? I think my plants maybe suffering from too much nutrients as I don’t usually get any run off when watering. How much should I be watering the plant, its in a 7.5 litre pot. Many thanks! Happy growing!

Your plants look great! Just keep up what your doing 👍🙂 A nice rule of thumb is feeding 20 % water / size of medium. So ca 2L water every third day. But every strain if different. But I recommend you water a little heavier once or twice a week so you balances the ph and remove salts and other buildups 👍

Day 36: The time has finally come to start my first flowering week (I think🤣) someone please correct me if I’m wrong. She’s starting to show a lot of pistils and she’s literally doubled in height from last week. With the tips of leafs looking like they’re about to start suffering from some sort of nutrient burn I’ve simply continued with a smaller dose. I suppose this strain just doesn’t take well to heavy nutrients. Also would anyone recommend me doing lst at the age it is? Or should I just leave it free growing up. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Happy growing! Day 37: she just keeps on growing. 3cm overnight and lst is definitely out of the question now. She’s drinking a lot more water and I’m now watering every other day. Day 38: not much to say apart from growth is rapid. Still seems rather wet so I think I’ll leave watering until tomorrow. I took a video to go with this week but unfortunately uploading it to here seems to have lowered the quality. Day 39: once again huge amounts of growth. I did end up having to water yesterday. She’s a very thirsty plant. I’ll start giving larger amounts of water tomorrow. Day 40: she continues to grow and grow, I’ve learned a lot from this first grow and now I’ve got a good understanding of how plants develop I’ll definitely be trying lst for my other plant. I’ve decided against giving a larger amount of water and I’m going to continue watering how I’m watering now as she just seems to be loving what she’s getting and I don’t mind watering every other day. Very happy with the progress. Day 41: she continues to reach. I’ll feed her later on today. Very excited to see what next week brings. Happy growing! Day 42: she’s growing faster than I imagined possible. Loving the feeding routine she’s got and all is currently going well, excited to start the next week.

Day 43: Fantastic progression in the last week, she’s over doubled in height. pistils and bud sites are appearing everywhere and she’s starting to produce a nice smell. Im currently watering everyday feeding nutrients every time and Im now noticing some slight colour change in leaf tips. Would anyone recommend me feeding plain water in between waterings? Happy growing😎 Day 44: she’s shot 7cm overnight now making her stand at 70cm. More and more pistils are appearing and she’s doing great. Day 45: I think the stretch has finally stopped and hopefully she doesn’t grow too much higher. She’s got a lot of tops now and all the lower bud sites are reaching up covered in pistils. Day 46: she’s progressing nicely, I impatiently await the buds to appear. Still feeding her the same every other day. Apart from a couple of tips she looks great. Day 47: still progressing brilliantly, all the heads are looking lovely and I think she’s about to put her full swing into buds. Very excited for what’s to come! Day 48: she continues to impress with loads of pistils popping out and all the sites are getting a lot bulkier. A few more tips are looking yellow so I think I’ll give her a bigger water later today to try and balance the medium again. Day 49: continuous growth she’s looking great! I fed her approx 2.5L water yesterday, watering a litre of plain water and then 1.5L with calmag, grow, bloom and top max and she seems to be loving it. My only question is, should I be cutting out the grow nutrient as she’s no longer in veg and flowering nicely? Another successful week I’m excited to start the next one. Happy growing😎

Day 50: Finally reached the third week of flower and she’s looking great. She continues to creep upwards while developing lots of sites and pistils. I’m hoping to see some bud development sometime soon. I’m also considering 18/6 light schedule if anyone has any opinions on it. I continue to feed her as before and I’m having no problems yet. Very excited to see what this week brings! Any comments are welcome! Happy growing! Day 51: I’m seeing no major differences since yesterday but she’s looking great! I’ve decided against changing the light schedule as I don’t want to stress her at all. She’s still not dried out since watering a few days ago so possibly too much water has slowed growth. Not concerned at the moment as she’s still progressing and looking great. Day 52: she seems slightly fatter. Maybe my eyes are being impatient😅 it’s still surprising me how quickly the medium can go from being nice and moist to bone dry. I’ve watered her today with slightly less grow and slightly more bloom and top max, hopefully she shows a positive reaction. I’m running out of head room rapidly so hopefully she doesn’t stretch excessively anymore. She’s also smelling a lot stronger today, not that I’m complaining😎 Day 53: definitely looking and smeller a lot better today. She must’ve liked the feed I gave her. Day 54: she’s smelling great and growing great. I’ll water her again tomorrow morning increasing bloom and top max dosage and lowering the grow. Hopefully she carries on like this. Day 55: watered today with a bigger dosage as above and she seems great. Smelling nice although I can’t see any major differences she’s definitely taking her sweet time. Day 56: she’s definitely shining more today and smeller stronger. Still no major differences, I’m looking forward to seeing what next weeks brings.

Day 57: She’s looking amazing, she’s starting to get very frosty and she’s smelling great. I’m now watering her with 1ml calmag, 1ml grow and 2ml bloom and top Max and she seems good. Is she developing buds very slowly or am I just being impatient?🤣 I’m convinced the cfl I have just isn’t enough for the plant. Also her height is 126cm but the site keeps changing it to 118🤔 Very excited to see what this week brings! Happy growing😎 Day 61: thanks to everyone who took the time to comment. After a couple days of thinking I desperately needed to add some light to the tent. Only being able to use what I’ve got I have added some red led strip around the tent and added a 5000k led light. Even though it’s the wrong light for the flowering process it seems to be working wonders and today she’s looking a lot different with everything looking a bit fatter and trichomes everywhere. I also changed what I was feeding her, I’m now only giving 1ml calmag, 3ml bloom and 2ml topmax per litre and she still seems happy looking super healthy.

I’m now on day 58 and she seems to have frozen on bud development. I’m unsure if this is down to needing a water with plain water As I’ve got some yellow tips or if my light just isn’t good enough for her to develop properly. Thanks and happy growing!

I absolutly agree to you. Your Light is to weak for the plnt to develop biig buds. but plant Looks healthy. But you see by the way that she grows ( leggy with big space between the nodes) that you have a lack of light. Under good qualtiy light she will develop much bigger buds and stay smaller- The new chinese quantumboard are absolutely great and not to expensive. save some Money and get one for the next round

Temperature and humidity levels have also been great the last week and she’s really progressing. I’m feeding her 1ml calmag, 3ml bloom and 2ml topmax per litre and she seems great other than a few tips burnt and a couple bent 90 degrees up a slightly brown ish colour. I can’t invest in a led light yet so I used what I had and added a 5000k led light around day 62 and although it’s the wrong end of the spectrum it seems to be proving great. Day 71: she’s fattened up quite a lot in the last week and she’s smelling super nice, she’s coated in trichomes. Once again the temperature and humidity levels have been spot on 90% of the time and it just shows how much they effect growth speeds. I’m still feeding her 1ml calmag, 3ml bloom and 2ml topmax and she seems great but I am tempted to up the topmax to 3ml. Per litre. She started leaning over a lot as I guess the top is getting heavier so I added two supports and she’s now standing tall. I also bought a usb microscope but it just isn’t good enough to see the trichomes. Does anyone have any predictions on how long she has left? Thanks and happy growing😎

Day 78: what’s up guys! Very excited to start this week! I’ve upgraded the setup! Now in a 1.2x1.2x2.0 with a 600w hps. I’ve got the climate under control now but annoyingly I have to plug and unplug fans etc when lights off and on too keep temps okay. Humidity keeps dropping to 30s, any ideas to bump it up? Humidifier is out the question as covid-19. really trying to get hold of a 2000k 400w lamp and a couple of timers but covid-19 has put a stop to that aswell. For now I’ll have to keep manually operating everything. Not the end of the world as we’re all locked down anyway. Onto the girl she’s fattened up and put a hell of a lot of weight on. Shining with trichomes and smelling dank. She’s now being supported low down by 4 ties and two big bamboo sticks holding up the top. She’s had a rough 24 hours getting a couple of bends and bumps during the move. The temps and rh have been all over too. Everything seems balanced now. Hoping the next week brings good results then i start flushing🙏 for now I continue with 1ml calmag, 3ml bloom and 2ml topmax per litre. I’ve purchased a jewellers loupe with a led on it and I can finally see what I want too. Having a hard time seeing any differences in them so I’m guessing they’re all mostly clear still. Any advice for what I’m looking for? Does anyone have any experience with hps? What’s the chances of fires etc? I’m a little skeptical leaving it on a timer to operate on its own or am I just being paranoid?🤣 many thanks and happy growing😎🍁🌱 Update: got hold of two more timers, one turns a oil heater on when lights go off to keep temps up and the other turns off the fan blowing on the light and the extractor fan otherwise temps drop close to 10c overnight. Still have the oscillating fan on 24/7. Going to try and raise the other plants in the tent to make the most of the light.

Day 85: what’s good guys? She’s looking and smelling great, temps are okay sitting at 25 for the most time and going down to the lowest of 16 at night. Humidity is sat at 30+ which is okay for her but not so great for my seedlings. I have a 400w hps bulb on the way so I’m hoping this will stop so much heat eating at the moisture. She still looks like she’s putting it on a bit but I think I can see quite a few cloudy trichomes and some ambers and a few clears so when she dries out next I’ll start feeding ph balanced filtered tap water for a week and see how the trichomes look. A lot of the fan leaves look like they’ve got a nitrogen deficiency maybe a slight bit of calcium too but being so late in flower I don’t think I need to worry about it. Very excited to see the changes as she finishes up! Any advice is greatly appreciated! Stay safe happy growing😎🍁 Edit: I’ve now started feeding her plain water. I gave her 2L of filtered ph 6.1 excited to see how she reacts to it.

I’ve got the 400w hps set up and it’s dropped temps slightly and slightly raised humidity which is what I wanted. In my opinion she’s looking ready for the chop! I’m seeing plenty of cloudy trichomes and a few ambers and I’m going for less of a couch lock so I’m thinking around now she is ready. I started plain water 6 days ago and she’s recieved 2L,1L and then 1L again today. All leaves have started yellowing, I imagine this is the plant pulling the nitrogen from the leaves as there’s none at the roots. How much longer does she need to be fed plain water for before she is ready for the chop? Thanks! Stay safe and happy growing✌️🌱🍁 End of the day edit: I decided to harvest the majority of her. The bottoms just a bit under developed so I’ll leave it going a bit longer. After chopping and taking photos out of the hps light the nugs are looking a tinge purple although I can’t see it as strong with my eyes. Hopefully I’ll get a wet weight later so I can add it to the diary later on. Temp is around 24c and humidity is 45-55. How does that sound? I’ve got extractor at the top and a fan at the bottom. We’ll see how long it takes to dry, hoping to go for atleast 5 days. With the virus going around I’m really making use of what I have at home so hopefully the climate will hold up🤞 any tips and advice about drying and curing etc is hugely appreciated🙏 I’ll be back with the harvest update once she’s dried out✌️many thanks happy growing!🍁🌱 She weighed in wet at 110 grams. Any ideas what she’ll weigh dry? I’m guessing an ounce if I’m lucky.

What’s up guys just harvested my gelato! My dry room sits at 20-25c and 40-55%. I’ve cut all big fan leaves off and hung it all up. In two days I plan to completely trim and then re hang to finish drying. Does that sound like a good idea? Any tips are appreciated. Many thanks!

Hi @Ema26 I like to trim completely before installing and drying .Temperature and humidity look good👍 If you put a fan blowing on them, the buds will dry faster. congratulations on the first harvest. good grows 👍

Hey guys! I chopped all the top half of the plant on 6/4 21:30 and the bottom half on 7/4 23:00. It’s now the 9/4 at 11:30 all of it sits in jars. Dried quicker than I wanted it to but all the buds were very dry too touch so I jarred them. I figured it was easier to remove moisture from the jars than it is to put moisture back into them so hopefully this plan works out🤞 she has a hay smell to her and I’m hoping this goes while curing her. All the nugs look great and some are mega dense and others are very airy. The more airy ones being from lower down I just didn’t have time to keep her going. She weighed in at 110+ grams wet, But I didn’t weigh any of the lower nugs. Dry weight all combined is 35.8 grams. 9.2g from the bottom half and 26.6g from the top half. I’ll re weigh it once I’m done curing. Very happy with this first grow I wasn’t expecting to have this good of a finish even if it isn’t the best💪 both jars are around 21c, the jar with smaller nugs has been sat at 55%-65% and the bigger nugs are getting up to %70 so I’ve been opening the big ones letting the humidity go back down again. I don’t expect to get the drying and curing done %100 but that’s what the first grow is all about. Roll on to my next 3 plants harvest day😎 I smoked all the material that went through the sieve while trimming and damnnn.. tasted like something out of Amsterdam. If the flowers end up like that I’ll be very happy😁 I’ll be adding a smoke report once she’s ready, really looking forward to it🤣 Id like to give a huge thanks to everyone who has helped and advised me on this journey! I’m taking all the info onto my next grow a lot more confident. My next 3 plants are doing brilliantly so far I’d appreciate it if you’d check them out! Onwards and upwards, stay safe and happy growing everyone! With thanks Ema26😎🍁🌱
