What can I say, my first grow. Very good strain for beginners I had no issues what so ever other than a bit of over watering on my part. Some very nice sticky smelly buds on the plant I can’t wait to smoke her! I’d definitely recommend this strain to anyone looking to grow there first. I’ll be doing another run of this strain shortly, this time applying more training techniques etc.
Hey guys! I chopped all the top half of the plant on 6/4 21:30 and the bottom half on 7/4 23:00. It’s now the 9/4 at 11:30 all of it sits in jars. Dried quicker than I wanted it to but all the buds were very dry too touch so I jarred them. I figured it was easier to remove moisture from the jars than it is to put moisture back into them so hopefully this plan works out🤞 she has a hay smell to her and I’m hoping this goes while curing her. All the nugs look great and some are mega dense and others are very airy. The more airy ones being from lower down I just didn’t have time to keep her going. She weighed in at 110+ grams wet, But I didn’t weigh any of the lower nugs. Dry weight all combined is 35.8 grams. 9.2g from the bottom half and 26.6g from the top half. I’ll re weigh it once I’m done curing. Very happy with this first grow I wasn’t expecting to have this good of a finish even if it isn’t the best💪 both jars are around 21c, the jar with smaller nugs has been sat at 55%-65% and the bigger nugs are getting up to %70 so I’ve been opening the big ones letting the humidity go back down again. I don’t expect to get the drying and curing done %100 but that’s what the first grow is all about. Roll on to my next 3 plants harvest day😎 I smoked all the material that went through the sieve while trimming and damnnn.. tasted like something out of Amsterdam. If the flowers end up like that I’ll be very happy😁 I’ll be adding a smoke report once she’s ready, really looking forward to it🤣
Id like to give a huge thanks to everyone who has helped and advised me on this journey! I’m taking all the info onto my next grow a lot more confident. My next 3 plants are doing brilliantly so far I’d appreciate it if you’d check them out! Onwards and upwards, stay safe and happy growing everyone!
With thanks Ema26😎🍁🌱
My seedling is 9 days old now and growth is extremely slow. The stem is a red colour and the leaves are a slight yellow. This is my first ever grow and I just can’t figure it out. I would be grateful if anyone could give me some advice.
yes man your observation was right, very nice approach for a first grow.as you rightly said,it is from overwatering a little bit.since its roots are too small for now,no need to water much.just pour where you think its roots reached. 0.5lt of water would be ideal.and you can increase grow nutrient rates,my advice.good luck
Can anyone give me any advice on watering? I think my plants maybe suffering from too much nutrients as I don’t usually get any run off when watering. How much should I be watering the plant, its in a 7.5 litre pot. Many thanks! Happy growing!
Your plants look great! Just keep up what your doing 👍🙂
A nice rule of thumb is feeding 20 % water / size of medium. So ca 2L water every third day. But every strain if different. But I recommend you water a little heavier once or twice a week so you balances the ph and remove salts and other buildups 👍
I’m now on day 58 and she seems to have frozen on bud development. I’m unsure if this is down to needing a water with plain water As I’ve got some yellow tips or if my light just isn’t good enough for her to develop properly. Thanks and happy growing!
I absolutly agree to you. Your Light is to weak for the plnt to develop biig buds. but plant Looks healthy. But you see by the way that she grows ( leggy with big space between the nodes) that you have a lack of light.
Under good qualtiy light she will develop much bigger buds and stay smaller- The new chinese quantumboard are absolutely great and not to expensive. save some Money and get one for the next round
Hey guys I was wondering what you all did with trim? I want to keep it all for something. Do you dry it out then store it or do you store it wet? Freeze it etc? I’m going to trim everything over a mesh screen but not sure what to do with it after trimming it all. Thanks!
advice on when to harvest? I’m seeing plenty of cloudy trichomes and a few ambers and I’m going for less of a couch lock so I’m thinking around now she is ready.I started plain water 6 days ago and she’s recieved 2L,1L and 1L again today. When do you think I can chop her? Thanks!
If that’s what your seeing then I say take it! If you wait much longer it will become more of a sedative high and that TSS not what you want! And I agree with what I’m seeing in your pictures your buds are definitely developed nice and look mature!! Take her 😁🔥💨 Good luck 🍀👍 enjoy 😊
What’s up guys just harvested my gelato! My dry room sits at 20-25c and 40-55%. I’ve cut all big fan leaves off and hung it all up. In two days I plan to completely trim and then re hang to finish drying. Does that sound like a good idea? Any tips are appreciated. Many thanks!
Hi @Ema26 I like to trim completely before installing and drying .Temperature and humidity look good👍 If you put a fan blowing on them, the buds will dry faster. congratulations on the first harvest. good grows 👍
Hi, quick question mine is 8 days old and only the first two leaves are out and they pretty small. I haven't turned the light off at all should I start turning it off for 4 hours from now on and will that hell it grow?
Hi. feriliser alone dont solve your Problem buddevelopment is Always in dependence of TIME, POTS, Light and in the end Nutrients. Think About getting a new Generation quantumboard. Thes Lights are awsome and quite cheap .. for more info just hit the Reply button
@Blueboy2019, bare annoying g everything’s closed, na bro don’t know anyone that has them. Your way is a mission from my way🤣 haha nice one bro that’ll keep you going. I’ll check it out
@Ema26,yhyh waiting on car been fixed tho garages not open,... You tryed cuttings bro I sell decent size cuttings a week in veg but there always small bushy girls.. Might find that easier bro
Looking real good I’m on my 10th day n after feeding their standing up y’all I thought it burning from light but from looking at yours n others I see that the plants are just happy n I noticed some new growth I’ll b posting updates the end of this week
@KrudBuddysExotics, Thanks! Cool I’ll check it out! I could be wrong as this is my first time but I’m sure when they’re getting burnt from light the tips curl upwards and they sometimes curl like a taco. Mine were pointing diagonally upwards in the earlier days but the plant just seemed happy. Good luck with your grow!
@Blueboy2019, yeah I know what you mean lol, it doesn’t smell until you grind it and tastes like a dodgy mint🤣 yh g checked them out they all look sweet👌Yeah yeah let me know bro was thinking of trying the flawless finish, cheers
@Ema26,I had same problem with my 1st one mate. It didn't tasted of zkittles it tasted off home grown I know I grow it a home but still if I grow haze I want a haze bud not home grown lol think I've got it down thus time tho all my plants are stinking and looking 10/10 Iv started flushing one on Sunday so I'm gonna do a little tased test this one will just be flushed straight water Al the others will be flushed with flawless finish.... See if it helps with the tased ill let you now mate
Hi, as your Light is not so strong , the Flowering takes longer on them... i thinks your Girls will need a few weeks more, because of showing no sign of ripeness ( like i explained in my answer)
@DsrspctflPlmbr, thanks! She’s looking great I just feel like she’s growing very slowly🤣 been waiting for your update I’ll check it out later today! Happy growing!
That hat smell you mentioned is common when drying but much more prevalent when you dry your weed too quickly. I'm on only my 3rd grow but I've learned that it's much better to dry your weed as slow as possible to help your buds retain their smell. Personally I've found that drying weed at around 55-60% humidity ensures that your weed will dry slowly (as long as your temps aren't too high). I'm no expert but I've found that keeping the temps at 66-72 farenheit with 55-60% humidity will guarantee a long, slow drying period....I've even had to put a humidifier in my drying room to raise the RH bc where I'm at the humidity during the day is in the 30-40% range unless its summer. Like you, my very 1st attempt at drying only took me 4 days to dry which sucks bc I believe you want a minimum of 5 days drying but you really wanna try and dry it slowly for about 7-10 days if possible for the best results. My 2nd harvest, using a humidifier this time, I managed to get a much longer drying period of 9 days and the results were much better. I recommend using Boveda humidity packs in your jars to help regulate the RH for you
@JasonMichael420, but funnily enough humidity in all jars was 70+ so they’re not ready for jars yet, must still be retaining moisture so they’re all back on the drying rack. Damn impatient noobie🤣
@JasonMichael420,yeah I was hoping to dry as slow as I could but under the worlds circumstances I couldn’t do anything about it, humidity and temps were sat at 20-25 and 40-55 with just an extractor fan running. I was hoping to get some of those humidity packs but I can’t get any for 3 weeks+, thanks for the comments✌️
@Germano, hello my friend! Thanks! Good to hear I continued feeding her the grow as she didn’t show any bad signs! Cool! I did up the dosage of bloom a while back I just forgot to update:D I’ll add more details tomorrow when I start the new week :P thanks happy growing!
