I needed a way to auto fertigation so I made this rig, sub pump pumps 7gal res up into bucket every 4hrs for 15mins feed drains back to res air pump keeps res aerated.
"Growing Cannabis in Coco Coir with High Frequency Fertigation" is where is got the idea for a dwc coco grow. The roots are growing outside the fiber pot and reaching for the res. new few day I'll try to take pics.
She got to big for the 2x2x4 so I had to move it to a bigger 2x4x5 that has a new never before used 320w kingbright so this whole grow is evolving as it goes I had no clue that hydro and 200w in veg would make the plant this big. Temps are much easier to control now in the bigger setup. the 7 gallon res. is loseing about 1 gal a day I top it off and check PH/EC once a day it almost never needs adjusting so that is really nice.
This week was interesting the lower leafs are very dark I figured the switch to FNB from FNG would stop that but the N excess keeps happening. Attempt to cure the excess N, I'll drop EC/ppm this week by 20% see if that helps. Many many bud sites all about the same size and all getting plenty of LOS to the lights. LST is about 85F 55RH and so are the varying micro climates. micro climates, I has getting due drops on canopy in the morning so i defoliated and added a 12" fan to allow for more air flow and light.
Changed up the nutes because I have leftover stuff I'm just getting getting rid of and FNB is really salty the micronutrients in it seem to never breakdown and just lay on the res bottom.
These late flowering plants are boring lol I took some DSLR pics to try and capture the purple colors so hard to get the colors right without correcting it in PH or something. I have been lowering the temps at night to 58f-62f to see if the purple gets stronger seams like more color than most FPA
It was turning purple in normal temps 80-70 and we had some cold weather here so I cracked a window next to the tent during night. The top colas turned purple in about 3 days then the whole plant slowed down and stopped drinking water I stooped the cold nights and a few days later she started drinking again. The depleted leafs turn yellow then purple it was a neat experiment and the colors are nice to look at.
