40x40cm Sweet Zkittlez Scrog

The goal of this first run is to try out this tiny HLG 65 and see what it's capable of. I am using Canna Terra as a medium, in a 2gal fabric pot. I plan on using Canna Bio Vega for veg and Flores for flower, adding seaweed solution every now and then as well as a yet unchosen flowering booster down the line (maybe BioCanna Bio Boost). I will try and tip and scrog this plant so that i can get an even canopy should i need to position the light really close due to the low wattage. The text is only 40x40cm by 140cm tall, so keeping it low and even is the goal here. I also have a cheapie 4" exhaust fan and a phresh carbon filter that sit above the tent, as well as a small 1ft tube heater and cheap temperature controller to turn the heater and fan on and off as needed. She hasn't opened up yet so i'm guessing tomorrow will be officially day 1, but i couldn't help myself in starting the diary. Thanks for looking!

Growing quite fast. No signs of deficiencies yet and i up-potted her to the final 2gal pot. She definately wasn't root bound yet but hopefully it doesn't slow it down too much. Keeping it simple, only straight Bio Vega and plain water alternatively at the moment.

Almost forgot to take a photo this week. I've topped her at day 16 and put a scrog net in. She's growing super quick, not sure if that's normal or not!

Soooo this has turned into a 100w grow. I sold my HLG 65 watt and bought a Spider Farmer 100w. I wanted the extra red and extra power to finish this as well as possible. It's probably overkill for this space at around 75w per square foot, but it should get excellent results if i don't burn the poor thing! I have flipped this week, and photos are after around 5 days of 12/12. It's already stretching and looking amazing with about 8 tops.

Everything seems to be going really smooth! The stalks are super strong and i can't see any deficiencies.... Canna Bio is very easy to use too. Did a light defol, mainly around the bottom.

I hope she's finished stretching, because it's now within abour 8" from the light. Leaves are a bit paler on top than down lower.. but i'm going to run with it for a while and see how it goes. I can dim the light down, but it's a pain to remove the light and flip the driver over to access the screw underneath.

Still going strong. Starting to notice some leaf tip burn, but it's also quite light green... so i'll be giving a good watering with plain ph water and getting some good runoff to see if that helps.

She's a hungry girl! I am doing about 3 back to back feeds followed by plain water, and the fan leaves are still quite light. The inside leaves still look nice though, so i'll continue doing what i'm doing. The smell is really interesting, very fruity and complex.

The leaves are still getting lighter, but i'm not too worried. I can't feed any heavier as the tips are showing slight burn still... so i'll go to alternating between fresh water and feed from now on. The buds seem to be plumping up nicely and the smell is incredible.

Still putting on the weight, no real colour loss on the leaves and the tip burn has halted. I've been alternating feeds with water and it seems to be doing well. The tops look like they may be foxtailing a little? I'm not concerned... with how close the light is i guess it's to be expected. I'm super surprised that the trics are looking cloudy already, as i assumed it wasn't even close yet. I don't plan on chopping for a while as i want to see what full ripeness looks like.

Slowing down the feeding now, only giving plain water mostly with the occasional lighter feed. Trying to flush out the media so i can use it again next run..

The grow went really smooth. She stretched a lot more (tripled?) than i was expecting, and i just about ran out of height. She was within 6 inches of the light so i guess thats why she foxtailed and got a bit burnt on the tips. It didn't seem to have any detrimental effects though, as i am stoked with the harvest and it's the best smoke i've ever had. Cant wait for the next run!
