hoping this goes good. its my 1st grow
got some clones from a friend that he thinks its og cush or gorilla glue not sure right now. anyway just moved them into the dwc system on 1-8-2020.
using lucas formula and fluence spyder 2p led's at 85%.
First off, that's an amazing DIY hydro set up, unfortunately it looks like you got some definite light burn. Try to dim that sucker to like 30% and go up from there, and/or supplement co2. Once you get that situated you will be off to the races tho as you look pretty well set up. Q
@Astarte,
So it turns out it wasnt the bluelab having an issue or even my plants eating. My water pump was leaking small amounts of electricity into the water and it was causing the bluelabs to go nuts. i have now fixed that and the numbers have stabilized.
@darknes01,oh I totally get it haha. I agonize over literally everything in my grow.
As for the ppms the amount of light your plants get is directly related to how much nutes they intake. But just to be sure I'd calibrate again but I'm pretty sure they are just hungry. Link for clarity.

I started off with the lucas formula. It's only good for late flower. Cut the bloom in half for even amounts. If you look at the ratios this gives your plant a very nice 5 - 5 - 5 for veg then gradually work the Bloom back up so it hits the 5 - 10 - 10 by around week 5 of flower. Seeing as you're growing from clones I'd just cut the bloom back so you have a 5 - 7.5 - 7.5 but not until you've given those plants a flush, Yucca extract is really good for this. We're actually running very similar setups. Actually I take it back...the Lucas formula is garbage for hydro...way too strong. Give your plants a flush then feed 1ml/L Micro, 1.5ml/L Bloom, 2ml/L Calmag. Let your plants bounce back for a week then flip to flower.
@darknes01, A really important point is that you're growing from clones so your plants are already mature which means you can flip to flower almost straight away. The few weeks you've given them in veg should be plenty. If you have your net down than that's pretty much time to flip. You'll easily see the most vigorous growth in the first four weeks of flower (really important to stay on top of your canopy as it can get out of hand in a matter of days), by then they should have finished their stretch and will be onto fattening up on the buds. I'm still looking for a good fertiliser myself. I still really like GH Micro and Bloom combo as in equal parts you have an awesome base that's equal in NPK. The main things you need to worry about then is PK levels. For the first two weeks of flower go heavy on P (2 times N) and K (1.5 times N). The P is good for early flower to promote increased bud sites. The next two weeks drop the P back down to 1.5. Last four weeks push the K (2 times N) and keep P at 1.5). In late flower a plants can deplete K down to deficient levels.
@Mospeada,
Thank you, I appreciate it. Is there any other 2 part or 3 part solution that you would prefer over lucas formula? I have been thinking of swapping to the Athena Blended Grow A & B then using the flower A&B with calmag. My 1 big question would be, your input and anyone else that would like to chime in, is, are my plants growth where it should be given that i started them on the 8th of Jan? Since its my 1st grow i have nothing to compare it too so not sure if they are growing as fast as they should be or maybe they are growing fast lol. any and all comments are welcomed. Gotta learn somehow :)
@Astarte,
honestly its my 1st grow so i dont know what to expect and not sure if its growing fast or actually slow. I actually flipped to flowering yesterday. ill post some photos in a few days to update the growth. Do you think this is good growth , slow or fast? thank u
