Just showing off my new gear with this week one shot. I started this strain a week before the others while I was waiting on deliveries of soil, living soil, coco/perlite, pots, and watering systems. Up until all the gear arrived, I had it started under my HLG65 board, which apparently wasn't directly over top of the plant nor close enough, so she grew a little sideways and stretched. I have since re-enforced her vertically and she's thriving under the new full spectrum light. Really excited to see what this traditionally tall freebie seed can do.
* 4x4x6.5ft grow tent
* HLG 550v2 Rspec
* Autopot watering system, 5 gal fabric pots
* Fox Farms Ocean Forest
* Mother Earth 70/30 coco/perlite mixed in about 20-25%
* Nature's living soil at 1 lb per 5 gal pot
With soil supplied nutrition, all I have to do is add pH'ed water to the reservoir and monitor temp/humidity in the tent! I have calmag and other products on standby if any issues arise, though. Stay tuned!
Week two is underway. I'm impressed at the speed of growth under this light. My previous grows were only under 65w LED for veg, 100w for flower - now we have full spectrum 550w! I'm keeping things at 18 hours to save 25% on electricity, which maths out to about 9kwh a day, or 90 cents around here. I'm totally cool with this, haha.
I re-enforced her vertically to grow into the light, and she's thriving now. Hoping I can remove that broken zip tie soon and she'll do her own thing!
I definitely overwatered the gals this week, but I'm learning--this is my first time in soil. Also we had a bit of a cold snap, so lower temps and humidity in the temp could also be throwing things off. I'll wait until Sunday probably before I water again,they definitely need a break from me! Soon, I'll turn on the autopot system and let them drink for themselves.
Can't believe we're already done with week 4 with this girl, who was planted on New Year's Day. I started her in a rapid rooter while assembling my new 4x4 tent and mixing soil, which is why she is about 10 days ahead of the other gals I'm growing right now. Beginning to see some signs of sexing, and she's a female as expected.
I'm continually amazed at the symmetry of this one in particular. Nature is an amazing thing, and I'm honored to bear witness to this process. I can't imagine a life without growing now!
Saw an explosion of growth in week 5! Removed 4 fan leaves to gain light to lower nodes, which are now flourishing. She grew so quickly that mild light burn occurred overnight, but I have moved the light up another 6 inches for now. Still growing strong! Can't wait to see where this girl takes us!
Flowering like crazy already! I'm just amazed at how fast she's already putting on weight. Hoping to get some tasty dense nugs in 4-6 weeks.
Did some defoliation this week and moved a fan to blow on the fabric pot and up her skirt to help dry out the soil, which seems to have drainage issues by the occasionally limp, water saturated leaves.
Started using Mammoth P around the third week or so, and I think it's made a difference in limb structure and overall strength of the plant. Hard to tell, though - this is my first time growing in living soil!
She's just plugging along! So happy for these girls. The soil has all the nutrients they need, I just pH the water and add mammoth P for increased structural density to hold up the heavy weights she's gonna have when we get close to harvest time! Stay tuned!
She's doing great, minimal input from me! All four plants are drinking a lot, so I keep giving them 6.5-ish pH'ed tap water with 1ml/gal Mammoth P. I moved the light up the final four inches or so, mounted to the top of the tent. Meanwhile, Grape Walker Kush (on her right) is thriving with minimal light stress! Genetics is an amazing thing. We are about 4 weeks from harvest with this girl, and I can't wait to watch her fatten up!
This is far and away the prettiest plant I've ever grown - I love the autumn shades already developing! Some of that is from light burn, as you can see brown/curled leaves, but she has enough growth to keep converted light into food. Hoping to harvest this girl in 3-4 weeks. Stay tuned!
Still growing along nicely in spite of being burnt to a crisp. She's looking mostly cloudy with a chance of amber trichromes :) Will keep an eye out week for maturation, but I'm still seeing white pistils everywhere. She may go the full 12 weeks afterall!
So, so, so close. I think I will be harvesting this weekend! Seeing a lot of cloudy trichromes, waiting for a few ambers to pop up before chopping her down. So proud of this girl - what an incredible grow for a free seed!

Happy Harvest Day!
Mephisto 3 Bears OG x Skywalker - Custom Breeder & Strain
My easiest and highest yielding plant yet! After seeing a lot of positive feedback and solid results, I can say I've experienced the same. Incredible gift they threw in as a freebie to my order. I hope they make it a regular one!
