Picked up a clone from one of my buddies this past Thursday. He says the plant is about 3 weeks; which I was hoping to obtain some confirmation from more experienced growers here on Reddit. I figured the plant was ready to transplant at the very least. He was using pro mix and mother earth dry nutes, but i'll be transplanting to coco perl at 70/30 and using cal-mag with the flora trio. Just from looking at plants all day today on Reddit, I haven't seen one that looked like this so young? He had his light extremely close to it. Is it looking alright so far? I've read through the beginner thread already but just wanting it to thrive being my first grow. I have a 1000 watt mars hydro LED and also a 25 w blurple at 24''. The 1000 w is at 36 inches above the canopy and i'm running it 24/0. My friend also doesn't know the strain?? Humidity has hovered between 45-40 RH for the last two days, and my temps are from 73-77 F. I wanted it to stretch a bit taller before transplanting and starting LST. Any suggestions? I am currently feeding 1ml cal mag, 1 ml general hydroponics of micro, and then 1 ml of bloom PH is at 6.5.
Transplanted her to a 3 gallon fabric pot today with 70/30 FFOF and perlite. I have only 3 bricks of coco and wanted to preserve those for my MSNL auto lemon haze seeds that i've recently germinated so thats why I went the route of soil. FFOF was my first plan before I decided to use minimal nutes so thats why I had a bag on hand. I've read that itss a "hot soil" but my plant is 4 weeks old today so i'm not worried. Only feeding 6.8 PH balanced water and 2ml cal-mag for the first 30 days of her transplant, unless she shows deficiency.
Hopefully she is starting to look on par for her age, I want to veg her out a few more weeks before starting flower. I haven't fed anything except cal-mag up until this point but i'm going to start slowly using GHE micro and bloom along with cal-mag in the next watering. I've decided I really don't want to do any LST on this plant because she somehow already has like 6 tops showing and I just don't want to introduce any stress really with this first plant. My other plant, her sister, is starting to look better though and i'll add that picture as well. I did use LST for her.
Everything is going well with our big girl, switched to ph treated tap water which seems to be working well. It comes out of the tap at 7 ph and around 80 ppm. I have used lemon juice to get it around 6.86 ph after mixing in my nutrients.
2/11- Very hard to water big girl as she seems to be drinking really fast and theres not much room; i'm having to water everyday. Not sure how long i'm going to veg but starting to worry about height for flower in my 3x3
Surprised that I have been able to accomplish this much progress with unorthodox techniques; i've used FFOF with 66-6.9 water and fed everyday. I've used distilled water sometime, as well as tap water. But i've tested my tap water, and its high 7 ph. I've used a 1000 watt LED full spectrum 24 hour white light, with a blurple thats 25 watts that i paid $20 for on amazon. I've used GH flora trio minus the gro. Only 2ml of cal mag, 2 ml of micro, 2 ml of bloom every time; despite where they are in age.
