December 3 - December 9
Plants are growing quite vigorously as they start the stretch. Nice knots have formed from the super-cropping. These knots will allow the plants to store, produce and move more nutrients than they would under normal conditions prompting stronger, more vigorous growth.
I continue to remove new side growth early this week but after this will start leaving most of the new growth and will only remove growth which is noticeably weak.
Trying to maintain an even canopy I continue to wire tall growing branches. As flowering continues the plants will become woodier and this will no longer be a viable option.
I have noticed that one of the Bubblegum plants is growing viney and lanky. At this point it doesn't look like it will be much of a producer. Also one of the THC Bombs is growing quite slow and stunted. As space becomes tight in my grow tent these will be prime candidates for culling. For now I am keeping them though, as I have been surprised to have some of my of the poorest growing plants really take off later into flower.
@DeathEvil, Thanks. This is my second grow of the bubblegum. The first time I grew 1 plant and it wasn't a real vigorous plant but the buds were fruity and oh so sweet and delicious.
So far these seem much more robust. Keeping my fingers crossed...
Those are some nice healthy looking plants! whenever I break a branch like that I usually try to wrap electrical tape around it and give it a week or so to see if it is still healthy enough to grow, but by the looks of that pic yours was snapped past the point of growing again. Flipping over to flower is always a great feeling 😎
@DeepRoot3d, Yeah. I used to try to fix broken branches using duct tape but I generally find that the plant recovers faster from losing a branch than from trying to repair the break.
Looking great my friend, nice variety of strains.
I like your super-cropping, a little tip that you might already know, but adding Silica couple of days before cropping will make your life much easier.
Good luck on flowering :)
Hi mate, I looked at your plants, they look so beautiful. Well done. I will be happy if you look at my diary and tell me your opinions. Have good harvest. 😊👋
