BeanswithPork This was a very good gift that I am ready to officially wind up. This is Trainwreck, from the unlisted Native Seed Company. I actually have a Trainwreck seed on the go. This is a clone of a plant from the same distributor, but a different seed in the pack. The genetics are Mexican x Thai x Afghani. I transplanted into a larger container using 10 parts HP Pro Mix: 5 parts worm castings: 1 part Fox Farms Happy Frog soil. The tent is mylar hung in an unfinished basement, with direct furnace input and output ventilation in summer. The lighting is a 300 watt full spectrum LED with a smaller pod that is 1/6th the amount. I have yet to get far with this strain as my seedling was delayed with low winter temperatures. Now, that is fixed. I bet the clone could even pass the plant from seed. This is day 37.

BeanswithPork Day 43 since Trainwreck was cloned. Steady growth this week. Of a group of similarly aged clones of different types, I got the most progress out of Trainwreck. Nice and green so I will continue to give water and time. It seems to be adjusted to its new container. Unlike some other grows which experienced temperature issues, this one was nestled amongst some bushy beauties.

BeanswithPork Day 50 since this Trainwreck was cloned. Just vegging away and gaining size. I found this clone really absorbed the nutrients efficiently compared to other clones of the same batch, and so it has continued to progress nicely. I am just giving water.

BeanswithPork Day 57 since this Trainwreck was cloned. Fast moving and generally negative week. The small pot ran out of amendment or got imbalanced, and I can’t really transplant because of space issues. To boot, I left for vacation this week and I was hesitant to feed before leaving. I let the symptoms progress and have since trimmed and fed 18-18-21 Miracle Grow Tomato plant food, Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag), and Earth Alive Big Blue Wave. It will take some time but what it really needs is new soil. First shot is the group before defoliation.

BeanswithPork Day 64 since Trainwreck was cloned. Slow going this week post-plant food. It has taken awhile to start absorbing food and changing colour, as well as dealing with imbalance. Last night I transplanted so it is currently dealing with that shock too. I expect this week will be rough as it encounters amendment, but over time I predict things will be fine. We will see. I have had soil amendment problems lately in flower so I have diluted the mix. I also filled the bottom with just HP Pro Mix. I only side filled with hot soil. 40 HP Pro Mix: 5 Fox Farms Happy Frog: 5 worm castings: 1 ASB Greenworld Sheep Manure Compost: 1 ASB Greenworld Black Earth: 1 ETI Greenhouse Gold Seafood Compost: 1 Blood and Bonemeal pellets: 1 Green Gaia mineralized phosphate (guano): 1 alfalfa meal compost: 1 pulverized egg shells.

BeanswithPork Day 71 since Trainwreck was cloned. Everything is coming back to life. Transplants do wonders for recovery. I’ll just be giving water for awhile. As it vegs I will try to take clones. Looking good, folks. Spring is coming so my veg. temps are up a bit. This is appreciated.

BeanswithPork Day 78 since Trainwreck was cloned. Just consistent upward growth. I haven’t taken clones nor done anything but trimmed a few leaves here or there. Just irrigating with water. I’m going to have to figure out what I’m going with this one.

BeanswithPork Day 85 since Trainwreck was cloned. Just pushing out lovely new, green growth. Everything is looking good. I need to take some clones soon and I will decide if I want to flower it sea of green style or let it get larger. Just irrigating with water. The shot before the group picture is post-defoliation this week.

BeanswithPork Day 92 since Trainwreck was cloned. Looking good. It must be just about finished with amendment and plant food because I see some onset of leaf fade. This will be good timing to put into flower next weekend. Lots of clones to take too. I’m really letting things dry out but irrigating with water when necessary.

BeanswithPork Day 96 since Trainwreck was cloned. As planned, space has opened up and its time to get cooking in flower. I can see some leaf fade so maybe the timing was perfect. Once we get through stretch it will be time for flowering food. Next week the new tent will be reflected.

BeanswithPork Day 105 since Trainwreck was cloned. One week of flowering complete, eight weeks to go. This is sea of green style so we will see what a very small version will produce. I have a much larger version currently in flower which looks great, but the buds are small and tight. I won’t be starting any flowering food until the end of next week earliest. My flowering tent is a 6’ x 4’ hung mylar DIY with two 300 actual watt full spectrum LEDs with 96 watts of yellow LED supplementing the spectrum.

BeanswithPork Day 112 since Trainwreck was cloned. Two weeks of flowering complete, seven weeks to go. I am surprised by the lack of vigor here. Of course, I have limited expectations with smaller plants, and this one was already showing signe before the flip, but I also have the experience of Trainwreck being great (a further along plant). I think I’m just being negative! I fed today for the first time in flower: 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag).

BeanswithPork Day 119 for Trainwreck. Three weeks of flowering left, six weeks to go. I fed basically a week ago, 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom, a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). I gave water yesterday and i will be back to food this week. Just trucking along. Will be a small package, but we shall see.

BeanswithPork Day 126 for Trainwreck. Four weeks of flowering complete (typo last week), five weeks to go. Trainwreck is pushing some bud out for sure. Maybe not the best strain for sea of green. I can confirm a bigger plant of this variety looks good. I recently fed 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag).

BeanswithPork Day 133 for Trainwreck. Five weeks of flowering complete, four weeks to go. Food upcoming again for this plant, sometime this week, as its been a bit. Just getting overcrowded by other strains, but trying to quietly push out some bud. I think Trainwreck does a bit better as a larger grown plant.

BeanswithPork Day 141 for Trainwreck. Six weeks of flowering, three weeks to go. As the plant uses up what it has, the buds are swelling, albeit small yield. Nice smell. I recently fed food mid week, 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). Getting there.

BeanswithPork Day 147 for Trainwreck. Seven weeks of flowering complete, two weeks of flowering to go. I will have to make a choice about one more feeding (or not), but it looks like Trainwreck is finishing up anyway. I have recently harvested a larger version, its clear this strain does better with a bit more moderately large size.

Happy Harvest Day!

This is Trainwreck by Native Seed Company, which is not on GrowDiaries. This was a regular clone I took off a previous grow of mine. I was aiming for sea of green so I had small expectations for yield. However, it proved to not be great for the growing style (in my setup). Even compared to another plant of same size that I paired up, Trainwreck produced less. This is revealing, as I recently had a Trainwreck clone I was really impressed with. This small grow was a bit more fluffy and airy. I also noticed degradation happening much faster, I faded it much faster. The smell was typical for Trainwreck, a pungent musk that is sort of sweet. Upon vaping its a herby, woody type taste, dipped in musk or must, and there is a sweet tone. The effects are split as hybrid, but probably lean towards sativa. The effects are nice and potent, makes you tired, happy, Overall, I still really love the strain, but this was sort of a bunk attempt. Sample size would dictate some grows are better than others, I was still grateful for the vape, and cloned to continue the lineage.

BeanswithPork This was a single small sea of green plant so trimming and harvest was easy. I harvested a week early to clear room as I upgraded my tents. I gave water for some time, flushed, and gave some dark period before chopping. I wet trimmed, bud washed, and then hung to dry. Washing is just dipping and swirling in a container of baking soda, lemon juice, and water; second container is just water.
