Here we are about to kick off Grow # 13, and I can't believe it's been that many already. As many of you've seen in my other grows, I've currently been testing out the "Original line" from FastBuds, so this time I decided to go with the Original Auto White Widow since it was tester #13 and this is the 13th grow it seemed like a perfect pick. I have to give a big THANK YOU to FastBuds for sponsoring this grow. Down below is a description of this strain along with a list of the equipment I'll be using for this grow.
Description
She is an old school legend, multiple world champion with an insane resin profile earning her the name. One of the original strains from the 1980s that still ranks as an excellent choice for beginner growers and those who want the very best old school in auto-flowering form.
A fast-growing strain and superbly reliable, that will be done as quickly as 9 weeks from seed to harvest, making her the perfect candidate for growers who want a quick turnaround time. She will produce incredible results outdoors and can withstand hot and cold weather with ease. Her flavors are a mix of spicy, earthy and floral and her effects are relaxing and great for social scenarios. Hash makers and extractors will go wild for Original Auto White Widow, as she is a trichome machine that will cake buds in resin and cover fan leaves with resin rails.
Bud description
The first thing that stands out from Original Auto White Widows’s buds, is the prolific resin content. Covered in trichomes from top to bottom, with a dark green hue and maroon brown pistils. The buds are light in weight, however, they have a large size meaning the flowers of this strain go a long way.
Smoke report
Thanks to her 20% THC, the effects are uplifting, clear-minded with an exciting buzz. She will fire the mind up and get all systems going, making her perfect for keeping organized and busy, keeping sharp and alert, and working through a to-do list. Her high is not too racy and will transcend into a relaxing state the more you smoke.
Plant Appearance
Original White Widow Auto will grow with even spacing between internodes and will produce one main cola. Her side branches will grow out and tall as she fills with silver coated, large-sized nugs in 9 weeks. where she has the capability to yield 400-500gr/m2. Her leaf structure will be thin and long and she will not stretch too much once flowering begins, where she will mature to a size ranging from 70cm-110cm. She can also take on pink and magenta hues as she gets close to her harvest date, revealing her true beauty even further.
Grow Tips
A really easy to trim strain that is well known for its extreme resin profile. When trimming your plants, we advise collecting all the leaf material to make hash or extracts with.
She also performs incredibly well when grown in a Sea of Green and will not grow too tall.
We recommend planting this hybrid outdoors until late in the year, as she can take colder and wet climates with ease, and during the hot summer months will really showcase her yield capabilities. Highly recommended to beginner growers new to autoflowering genetics that need a sturdy reliable strain that can be left to grow, with very little maintenance.
Flavor
A flavor that can be described as musky, spicy, earthy and sweet. Smoking will reveal a bold taste of savory spices and dried fruits combined with earthy undertones. A particular taste that the old school generation will love.

On January 20th, the white widow seed was placed in a glass of water with a ph of 6.2 around 4:00 pm. January 22nd made 48 hours so the seed was then placed in a paper towel where it would sit until it had a tap root that was at least a cm long. Took until the January 24th for the taproot to become a cm long the seed was then planted in a mix of Happy Frog Soil and American Seed Starting Potting Mix, I went with this mixture because I've used the American Seed Starting Potting Mix before and it is some of the lightest and airy potting soil I've seen but it doesn't seem to have enough nutrients in it so I mixed it with the happy frog soil and even went with a fabric pot so that I can't overwater and to get more air to the roots. It took 3 days for her to reach the top of the soil, she started Day 1 on January 28th. I went with my normal regiment for seedlings which is only misting them until Day 4 where she received her first watering which was 250 ml of water with a ph of 6.3. Other than that I've let her be.

Really easy week, been under the weather but starting to feel better. I haven't been very attentive to the garden, along with still figuring out a watering schedule with these fabric pots I think I'm currently underwatering cause I'm used to my plants being way bigger than this one is and the sour diesel I'm also growing in a fabric pot. Still no nutrient feeding yet, waiting until early week 3 for that.

Another good week completed. Plant looks good healthy. I did notice with the fabric pots the growth is a little bit slower than when I use plastic pots. I went up to a liter of water to to make sure the soil was completely saturated and giving a bit of runoff, she also received her first feeding this week with no problems.

Basic week for the White Widow Auto. Noticed this week that the plant, along with the sour diesel auto are showing signs of lack of light normally I would just lower the light but with all of the other taller plants inside of the tent this isn't possible but here within the next few weeks I'll be able to move them around once some of the ladies are harvested. I also got a little sloppy this week and spilled some water with nutrients on the bottom leaves so I went ahead and removed those.

Another easy week with the plant, things are really starting to look good now that some of the bigger plants have harvested. Noticing regular growth now. I also want to give a big big thank you to @Fast_Buds for the merchandise package that was sent to me, now I can represent my favorite breeder by rocking their gear.

This plant started showing signs of pre-flower this week. I've been seeing daily growth, she's now 18" inches tall, the node spacing is pretty stretched though ( I prefer a tight node spacing) which is the result of lack of light early on in its life. I also switched the lights to 12/12 due to the Original Auto Skunk I'm growing not wanting to flower.

Here we are for another update on the Auto White Widow, I'm actually a bit behind with the updates but things have been crazy with this global pandemic. This lady is in full flower and is now 27" inches tall. She looks like she could be a bigger plant with a tighter node spacing but she wasn't getting enough light during veg and it shows now, but I'm positive she's still going be high quality I've been more than impressed so far with Original Line from FastBuds. I also went ahead and did what I hope is her last defoliation to assure that all bud sites are getting adequate light.
Well, that's going to be all for this week guys, so until next time fellow growers stay safe and healthy and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Good Day Growers, Mr_Weeds_Autos here for another update on the Original Auto White Widow from FastBuds. Since the last update, she's grown another inch and has started going trichome crazy, along with showing brown pistils, which means she's getting close to finishing up, at this point she's doing nothing but adding mass to her bud sites, not really shooting for yield though I'll take quality dank over a large yield of mediocre bud.

Well, that's going to be all for this week so until next time fellow growers and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
This little lady had it rough and it was my fault due to the number of plants I had in the tent she never really got the light she needed and I caught on late to correctly watering the fabric pots, and she was under a 12/12 light schedule to help another plant flower, l so I decided to go ahead and take her out of her misery. Lol. She was harvested on Day 73 and just from cutting her down I could tell that she wasn't going to yield much, and after 4 days of drying I was surprised to see I actually had 10.2 grams after drying. I will certainly be growing this strain again but this time I would have it in the tent with only two other plants so It' could reach its full potential.
I would like to say thank you to FastBuds again, you guys really outdid yourself with the genetics for the Original Line.
