Well after failing to make it to harvest on my first grow ever we're back up and running. Root rot was the cause of my problems and all issues that caused it have been addressed. So here we are on week one looking ok, I hope. Lol cheers GD fam

Here we are week 2, all these little ladies (6) have been topped above the 3rd node and had either the first and second or just the first removed in hopes of producing some nice main/quad lines. I have to try my best to keep these little ladies from stretching too much to avoid height issues in the future. Wish me luck 🤞✌️💪🌱🌿🌲

Well it's evident i stunted some of these little ladies early on. Adding nutrients to a soil that doesn't need it resulted in some N toxicity. Live and learn. I also noticed some purpling on my stalks that was very evident in my last run. I think it's because of the citric acid crystals I use to ph down my water, although my hot soil maker suggests using them. Idk anyhow thanks for checking me out, cheers. ✌️🌱🌿💪

Found some filtered bottle water that I'm going to be running from here on out. The PH has to be adjusted down very slightly, less than my carbon filtered tap water so I'm hoping this will alleviate the purpling of my stalks. We'll see. Cheers y'all ✌️🌱🌿🌲

Seems like my filtered bottled water may be the trick. It comes out at 7.1 ph so I don't have to do much adjusting with the citric acid crystals and that seems to have stopped the purpling of my stalks. Happy about that so we'll see from here on out. Watering just over half a gallon every 5 days or so. Cheers y'all ✌️🌱🌿🌲

@Mojet, yeah I'm a new grower with limited height so I'm trying to keep them small. I allll ready stunted them early on giving unnecessary nutrients but my environment is getting dialed in, pest issues have been dealt with and now it seems like I have my water situation fixed so we'll see. Thanks for checking me out ✌️

Plants are looking great, Do you plan on doing any techniques with these? I super cropped mine this time or others call it mainlining, Zkittlez from fastbuds has exploded in growth since I did this. Check my diaries out if you get a chance. Happy growing

@Bashgrowsitall1989, all have been topped in Hope's of some main lining and quad lining. I'm still a noob so we'll see how it goes. Best of luck to ya!

I find that my autoflowers are much pickier than my photo plants. They seem to use less nutes and respond faster to over-fertilization, they're less forgiving. Sucks about the N toxicity, I did the same thing on my first grow thinking I was being well-meaning. I have had decent success with topping autos, I let the plant grow 5 nodes [the cotyledons don't count] and then crop it down to the 2nd node. Sometimes I crop it to the 3rd node, but it's easier for me to LST 2 nodes in my space. Hopefully everything comes around for you, good luck!
