Great week so far, took down the tent divider and adjusted the lights accordingly. We turned off the water re-circulation system from the fish tank and added some King Kola and HoneyChome nutrient supplement to really boost those pk measurements. Any comments or suggestions this week? Only one month to go! 😁
I haven't ran an aquaponics setup yet but have done a lot of research. I love aquaponics! I have kept several aquariums and high nitrogen levels are the biggest threat to your fish, but it is what your plants need the most. So balancing nitrogen is the tricky part of an aquaponics system. Other than that your bluegill can handle pretty dirty water and low pH that you need so I think you are set up for success! Good luck. I look forward to seeing how it goes.
Based off of the last few weeks, any more comments, concerns, or compliments to the processes and methods I have used? She is currently about halfway done in veg. Thanks! 🙌
@FroggyBoi I have had a bit of history in aquaculture & I love your innovative ideas and the plants look to be very healthy my only concern is with the seedlings and how wet the substrate looks are they always that wet? or do they get air? Other than that I love it 👍👌
I have some snowcaine going now. So far they’re out growing everything else. About to move one outside to see if she’ll blow up. Be nice to get over a lb, off one outside. Did you notice fast growth too? The branches on mine aren’t structured as well as my WWxBB and Crescendo, which lower prances catch up to top branches and easy to train. How the smoke, is it tasty? My dad lives in Missouri, in a small town by Columbia. I take my son there a few times a year. I love St. Louis and KC. I was there last, last summer after everything flooded. CRAZY!! Wish I knew where to get smoke when we go. Yours looks like good smoke.
I don't think it's nutrient burn. With organic nutrient's it's a lot less likely . Looks to me like a root problem. Maybe PH dude that's like a whole other level or troubleshooting.. I have reservoir problems I dump my tanks.. you've got a whole other ball game going on there :).
It's looking good just like it could start to get stunted..
Hey Froggyboi, what I am about to tell you comes from personal experience and is by no means grow science. 25 years ago I used to have what we called "dutch style planted aquariums". Beautiful, heavily planted aquariums with a low fish count. I used the aquarium water as a once a week treat on my low light houseplants, and they loved it. I believe Cannabis to be a much more hungry nutrient plant than what your aquarium can provide on a home scale situation, and your plants are going to suffer nutritionally in the long run. Just my 2 cents bro, please prove me wrong!😎
@DeaneR, No problemo, thanks for the advice, I have been using aquaponic approved supplements to help boost those nutrients, and some live bacteria cultures to help facilitate the nutrient uptake in the roots. Should be a great experiment!
picking up a little bit for sure.. I always thought it's home over the fishys was kind of cool but you gotta do what you gotta do. Glad to see she's looking healthier for sure :)
@@Darkwarsongs, Gonna start another batch above the fish, but the bubble buckets are still connected to my larger 50 gallon tank! Definitely not as aesthetic though.
