Clones yellowing, normal cannibalism for clones or something more? Took one out for 8 hours, started drooping. Put it back. Has most yellow. Thanks.

I don't know if you used rooting gel to make sure none of them had air pockets in the stems. I managed that the first time. Cut off the failed rooting end above any rot, cut the stem with a razor blade at 45° angle and dipped it properly, then they took. The ones that didn't want to clone I switched to cup cloning. Just sat them in a cup of water, changing it every two days. Adding a quarter dose of grow nute to their water made them start developing roots and cannibalize some leaves. Then I added them to soil. Foliar feeding them was a mistake as they were too lazy to grow roots. A quarter dose of grow nutes seemed essential to kick the cutting into starting root development. They just seem happier growing their first root nubs in liquid and a cup instead of in soil. Once they have roots they go in light soil. When they're bigger they get transplanted into hotter soil.

The old leaves will get yellow due to the cannibalism like you said and the fact that the clones sill need to focus their energy on the roots production so they will voluntary get rid of the old leaves. The new growth will be greener

Clones will often yellow since there are no roots, the plant is using up the available nutes in the leaves. Did you dip the clones in rooting powder or rooting gel first? Or just stick them in dirt? Using a rooting compound definitely speeds up root production. I usually trim most of the fan leaves off except for new growth and cut those in half, which I see you did to the older growth. I'd snip the tips of the new growth leaves as well.

Hey, new here but have been running bruce from a Darkhorse a cut/mothership for quite some time. Following to see how it looks in other runs too. I have four cuts in solos right now too. They're growing already but pretty close in age here. good stuff

@VagabondGrowHound, haha ya it'll work out for you. Might lose the old leaves but you want the new ones anyway. That is what I was saying though. Im at 12-18% here for cloning and they adapt and grow fine. I've never been able to get over 35% humidity in my grow ever. Makes for easy mold and fungus control though!

@bk_garbage, Maybe. In my case I HAVE to use a humidity dome since my humidity in the tent is often very low(25% ish, though I do raise it throughout the day.) If I left them out they'd be so dry they'd crack into 19383683 pieces before morning. :( The vents on my dome are completely open, so we'll see.

@VagabondGrowHound, how'ed they do? People get hype and stress about clone stuff but honestly I just cut a branch off that seems like its not going to get light, dip it in a root powder or aloe branch, stick it in a half full solo cup of medium, and thats it. No dome, No humidity, Keep the soil moist, and not too cold. Leaves sometimes shrivel, but new ones grow in about 1.5-2 weeks. If they don't grow it probably didn't take, so try for 3 if you need 1.
