So this week I decided that I was going to repot the two autos in smaller pots. It was difficult because coco is quite dry and it just goes everywhere, so what I ended up doing was cutting the fabric pot off the plant. I found it easier and it did minimal disturbance to the roots, I am expecting I slight stunt in growth because of this. We’re just have to wait and see. They will also be getting LST this week.
So this last few days have been a big curve for me.
I’ve had to move the grow to a colder part of the house and they went into cold shock and all there leaves pointed down and stopped growing, they also went a pale colour so I gave them all an Biosys instant tea by ecothrive Which has brought them back and they seem to be on the right track now.
This week has showed me how I need to feed the eco system within the medium, so I’ve given them a strong tea with added honey, teabag leaves And coffee. They’re loving life this week massive amount of growth.
Had a lot of growth this past week and I’ve also not been feeding enough as these girls have started to fade at the bottoms so I’ve given them a dose of non organic nutrients to help give them that boost for the flowering phase. Temps and humidity have settled and they are loving it!
Bud sites everywhere now, I’m hoping these are gonna yield over 100grams to see me through this epidemic that we’re all going through right now. They’ve all been great genetics to run, I’ve learned a lot from these girls and realised just how nitrogen hungry they can be and also how cal mag is essential because coco seems to hold onto it if it’s not added in.
So I’ve only just realised how little these girls have been fed, I’ve just done a 10% run off and they had a low EC of 0.8 so I’ve just given them a high feed, hopefully I should see some difference in the plants over the next few days. I did this simply because they haven’t put on any weight and I’ve done my dates and they’re all @8 weeks and 4 days and they look more like 5 weeks to me, I’ve been over cautious of over feeding that I actually underfed. My bad lesson learned
This is my biggest auto she stands at just over 1metre, very stretchy and large internode spacing. This is due to my CMH bulb having 20%+ far red same as the sun! It a 4K bulb with added far red. This has caused a lot of vertical growth and huge leaves and stalks. Is it possible that this has slowed down flowering?? Or is that not possible with autos??
Plant were moved into a greenhouse for a week of hot sun, but the humidity at night and temps weren’t gonna be a good enough to finishing these plants it would have most likely given them mould issues ect but they’re all fine and back in the tent. I’ve now looked the strains up and they all have great resilience to outdoor weather and mould 😂 I’m hoping they won’t go past 14 weeks because this has felt like forever to grow lol but it is my first official grow. The zkittlez OG has been worth the wait, it’s now turning the buds a lovely purple with greens and brown pistols and there’s now some nice resin production.
Really easy to grow and got a lot bigger than I thought it would, I was happy with the pheno I had because it was very unusual to see almost black buds! Taste was very sweet and berry like, not very potent maybe I should of left it longer but I wanted the smoke. Not really gonna focus on autos anymore I’m more interested in photoperiods and breeding.
Nice and easy to grow didn’t need much feed, very tall and Healthy plant resistant to mould was great even when it was 60+ humidity in the end weeks of flower. Smells nice and tastes ok just after those more potent strains now.
