These 4 clones were gifted to me. The breeder is a friend of mine and he still had a bunch of clones he'd been trying to re-home in his grow room when he put his older plants into flower. I rescued these guys and am trying to re-veg them. I have one clone of a strain called Ringo's Gift (High CBD Strain), 2 clones of Maxie Dean (Strawberry Cake X Flash Bang), and one clone of a new cross - Ringo's Gift X Flash Bang - which I'm just calling Strain X for now. Flash Bang is a heavy sativa so that should be interesting mixed with a CBD strain. 2 clones have been topped, the other 2 are undergoing LST. I just figured I'd experiment and see what works. Ringo's Gift and one of the Maxie Dean clones were both topped because they were about 3 days into flower when gifted to me and since I am trying to get them to re-veg I pinched off any newly forming buds I saw. I left the new bud sites on the other two plants alone and just started LST them under a 24 hour light schedule. Initially germinated in 16oz Solo cups using Rapid Rooters + Fox Farm Ocean Forest Supersoil, transplanted into 1L planters with M3 Michigan Mix Supersoil. "Supersoil" is part perlite, part compost, part fertilizer - specifically formulated for growing medical cannabis from seed to harvest. The goal being that the grower adds only water and never has to add nutrients.

This week I noticed 3 out of 4 plants are growing pollen sacks. They are probably herming because of the environmental stress of a new habitat. I decided to try an experiment with them instead of burning them. I sealed the herms off from the one plant that is doing really well and topped them wherever I saw pollen balls. I will keep them separated and report back next week. The one that is doing really well at the moment is the hybrid - Flashbang x Ringo's Gift.

After about a week of daily close inspection (and pulling off any new pollen sacks that developed the first few days after topping), it looks like all the new nodes/growth sites on the herms have only FEMALE pre-flowers! YAY!!! I'm still going to keep them secluded just in case. Going hard with the LST. Transplanted this week and sprinkled Great White Mycorrhizae on the roots as well as adding some to the M3 soil. One of the clones' main stem broke during transplant (because I'm clumsy) but I think it will recover fine, it will just grow at a 90 degree angle LOL I know a lot of people do this intentionally (HST) so hoping it will still do really well.

This week I noticed that there have been no new pollen balls to pluck. All the new growth/pre-flowers on the herms continue to look 100% female. I am hoping my experiment worked and they have been saved, but we'll see. They will stay secluded to be on the safe side. I transplanted everything into 5 Gallon buckets. I also purchased a new grow kit. It came with a 4(w)*8(L)*6(h) tent, intake fan/exhaust fan/ducting, and 3 LED lights. Two are 2000W and one is 1200W. Hope the babies like their new home! Any thoughts or suggestions for improvement please drop them in the comments!
