Get in the Perp, lets go for a ride

So jumping into my first journal here. I have a very long running perpetual and I'm just going to jump into the clones going into a nutrient shootout right now. I have a few nute lines about empty so going to see what they like best and buy more in a a few rounds. Never really documented like this. This can be my strava for weed! So I know theres nute stuff to fill out but I am feeding 3 diff recipes here. Feeding all as much as I can with burning or over darkening. All will probably get cal/mag if they show any needs for that too. Only have the gh cal/mag. Really don't have them pushing to hard in veg or I'll run out of space so heres what I am comparing: AN three part 1/4-1/2 strength - pretty basic Maxibloom powder only. - think Lucas Formula FloraMicro and FloraBloom 1:2 and I have more GH additives for this line later. - think Lucas Formula plus You are looking at some rooted clones that just started pushing up new leaves. They were cut off a few weeks back. I just cut em dip in an aloe branch, sprinkle some microbes, and stick in half full solo-cups of a coco mix. They'll be potted up soon, or if there not quite there I lift em and fill the bottom of the cup. This is the mini-veg/clone space under the stairs. Just some 20w under cabinet led lights. The angled space is cool for moving plants closer/further and regulating growth individually. Guess Ill update in a week with the transplant pics and maybe some detailed pics of each strain. They're all just from breeders here in Colorado. Would like to get into buying legit seed but I've been running so many testers I never have space.

Think these cuts are officially in veg now. Trimmed off the old leaves they came with and checked the roots. Still a bit more room for roots in their solos right now but ready to move up soon. I put them back in order too so you can see BruceBanner3 in the left row, Orange Blossom Fizz winning the growth rate in the Middle, and the Krishna Kush on the right going steady. They will all start taking off now that they've been defoliated and I can see roots are about to pop out the bottom. They haven't had any food yet but I can see Blossom is starting to get hungry. My tap does come out at 250ppm so there some trace stuff in there. They will all start food regimens once I get them up to the next size pots. Again this is going to be a nute shootout for 3 lines, gotta decide what to buy more of soon. GH basic, GH plus additives, AN plus additives and one of each strain is feed each line.

So this is going to be starting week 4 this weekend. The cuts were in solos two weeks, and in the rooter tray with a heat mat for 1 week before that. I picked the best three of each and got them into the next size pot. I gave them a real watering of food and some microbes to soak all the coco and probably wont water again for a week or so while they stretch roots into the new pots. They still had pretty small roots but its only like 65 all the time in the clone spot. They go much faster to start on the heat mat in the rooting tray. So next week I will be setting up the side by side by side with 3 nute lines. I will be using 3 small reservoirs and then watering stakes(blumat things) into one pot from each strain so they can drink as they want. They will be drinking either Adv 3 part, GH 3 part plus additives, or Maxibloom powder only. Seeing how slow the root growth is in the cold space I might need to get these ladies into the real veg spot soon so they can get a little heat too. The runts are going to chill in the clone area until the next party pot.

Just another week of 24/0 veg in their new 4in pots. They've hit the stride past clone stage I'd say and are shooting up. They are ready for a leaf stripping and training about now. They're about out of room in the clone spot. They can hit the lights in there though cause they are just 10w shop lights and don't seem to do anything bad, even being right on the bulbs. So 3 rows of strains going vertical in the pics, like Bruce is the three pots on the left, Orange Blossom Middle, and Krishna on the right. Then horizontally three feed lines, so one of each strain is getting each mix. 3 part AN in the front row. Lucas method 1:2 GH micro:bloom in the middle row. Then GH maxibloom only in the back row. Not sure I am seeing any difference yet but they did just get a transplant and are probably doing fine with the leftovers in the coco for now. We'll start to see more of a dif soon in the bigger lights in the Veg space. Or we won't see a difference and everybody is getting maxibloom only, all the time!

Got these moved up to the veg tent now. Three sets of three on each nute line/recipe. The Orange Blossom Fizz and Krishna really aren't liking the low feed lucas method and got pretty pale in the new growth. I'll up the ppm a tiny bit and see if changes or if its just not going to work. Using some old nutes anyway for this lucus recipe. The Maxibloom only ladies are ok and pretty good but look a bit hungry. The plain old three part is still winning the growth and leaf looks game. Keeping the pots watered with some watering stakes into 3 gallon buckets of each nute line and three in the main flood tray. Seems to work ok but I might cut the experiment and start flowering more instead of side by sides, with these crazy times and all.

So I have cut the experiment portion of the grow. Took the best plants and put them in flower. Learned that my old(def expired) nutes were not helping. The best of the three was basic three parts, AN and GH did equally well. Second was just plain MaxiBloom powder, not quite as vigorous but not deficient. My old nute custom mix, Pretty much just mirco1/Bloom2, was not working. Those plants are going to stay in veg until they get healthy(they got pretty pale and hungry, maybe some lockout) I transplanted the good ones up one pot size with a bit of new coco washed with ph water and calmag and sent them to flower. So now flower tent additions to watch are: OrangeBlossom Fizz, Krishna Kush, and Banner3. They are all in the flower tent on 4.20. They are a bit smaller than my usual veg rounds but thats cause I made a bunch of plants to compare. Hopefully a few more small plants can make what my usual 3 big girls at a time make. Feeding wise still just a balanced feed really, I did 5ml extra bloom. I'll start adding more to the bloom side when buds start showing. I also added a tbsp of piranha and tarantula powders to the first feeding to get their flower pots good and inoculated.
