Here we go again with a new fastbuds strain, the germination went perfectly just like all the past seeds i grew. I soaked the seeds for 12 hour than i plant it in the peat pellet. 6 day later the first root tip showed itself. I have grown bluedream before and it was a no brainer since she is resistant and forgiving , being a blueberry crossed with a haze our girl should react the same so im expecting a pretty chill grow. Again those vivosun glasses make a world of difference for deficiency spotting and they protect your eyes for a cheap 20$ on ebay or amazon. Last picture is the quality inspector, i think she loves the breeze of the humidifier

Hey y’all its been a while since i updated this grow, as a fact i got caught up in the mess of the pandemic and lost the previous plant due to water temps going to high and ph falling out of range since i was away for longer then expected. Now that i settled things up i started a new seed and did the exact same thing as week 1and After all she is way more vigorous then the other and ha a perfect internode spacing, she responded very well to lst training too. Pistils have shown themselves which mean i will soon enter pre-flowering stage and see what kind of stretch this cultivar will achieve. The lst done was anchoring, then first bend 90 degrees at opposite direction of the anchor line, then spread new growth to shape the canopy I did pinch off the bottom growth that was now facing the hydroton pellets since she never really catches up to the rest and since she is still early in veg she wont get stunt by it. Happy growing 👊🏻👍🏻

Hey have any of you guys used the co2 enhancer thing they sell online or at some gardening store. I know for sure it can do a difference in veg phase but growing hydroponically and growing auto already gives me fast and strong vegetative grow so should i even bother?

Really just depends on where your growing. A smaller grow space would probably be a lot better of that canister thing. Co2 really helps if your have lots of green and not a lot of space. I'd recommend growing a few plants first then trying to increase your output with Co2. Co2 should be monitored before even being worried about it, not much sense in adding extra co2 if you already have enough co2 in your house. And the plants definitely can see a benefit from it growing in ideal conditions with a powerful light. And it's more important in later stages then it is in early veg. You wanna have more co2 going in as the plants get bigger and breathe more. You'll get better yields from proper nutrients and plant care then you will with the extra Co2. Anyway I hope this helps and happy growing.

Week 3 went smoothly , ambient factors where optimal for this type of cultivar , so the plant developed a nice tight spaced canopy. The internode spacing is just what you’d expect from a blueberry, tight and strong. My air stone was cracked during water change and was making too big bubbles so i threw in my rubber diffuser ring and added a new air pump so that two of then feeds equally the diffuser. Overall she is very healthy and seems to be thriving in there. She handles nutrients less well than my previous grow even compared to one of her children variations ( blue dream) beside a few burn tips on the second serrated set of leaves no harm was done Im more used to sativa cultivars and their stretching habits so growing a squatty plant is interesting and challenging for doing lst. I’m hopping for a few tight/dense colas and then let the magic of a perfectly controlled microclimate And hydroponic bring optimal appearance, terpenoids development and maximum cannabinoids production We are entering pre-flower states since she started showing her sex pretty early. Showing sex early is definitely a sign of healthy plants and brings a relief to those who use regular seeds. In the end i am very happy so far and I will keep following my personal growing notes and schedules. T’il next time happy growing out there and stay strong in these hard times, growing will bring you closer to your own roots as a human also Weed is often a gateway plant to horticulture or agriculture so keep growing my friends 👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻

Week four is done and i have to say she deserves that name, boy is she fast! I will literally skip a week of my nutes schedule since she went on flower mode really fast She is still small compared to my usual grows but her structure is perfect. The internode spacing is great and the stalk is getting really fat and stiff due to the silicone introduced in rhino skin. Branches are swelling up where they meet the stalk and the rootzone is getting better and better, this grow has more lateral root growth since i switched my airstone for a diffuser ring and a new pump. I can already see hints of purple propagating through the leaves, my low temps nights and water temperatures bring purple out pretty quickly. She used to be shy on nutrients so i held back 1/4 of the usual dose and did not get another nutes burn tip, neat! Lst is the key to maximizing yield so i tie down the stalk in a spiral like shape and bring new tops on the opposite direction of the center of the canopy, i usually get a full green box as i call it, my grow space being used at its fullest with one big green canopy, this cultivar is so fast that she is lacking that one week of veg madness, so she wont fill the whole box but should produce nice tight colas Again i dont grow for yield number in fact i used to just throw what i harvested in the jars without weighting it. I grow to see different phenotypes and terpenoids profiles and aroma, i seek theses “eye candy” strains or terpenoids that matches with my profile, so this plant not yielding the most doesn’t even bother me im more existed of how the buds will taste and look since i usually bring the best out of cultivars with my setup T’il next time happy growing 👊🏻👍🏻

Week 5 is done and again she earn that “fast” berry name, she is getting bigger and bigger every day and the buds are developing nicely and already showing purple on her leaves, flowers are dark red/ pinkish with creamy/ salmon pistils. This cultivar like it low on the nutrients dosage, since i lowered the nutrients she has not give any signs of nutrients deficiency and did not had any burnt tip on the leaves so thats neat! The flowering stretch is going on and already i can tell she wont fill the box like other cultivar I’ve grown with more sativa like genetics but her structure is amazing and her buds are beautiful already and should produce optimal trichomes level and terpenoids content if put to the right climate and nutrients. Dedicating all my time and growth space to one plant makes it more easy to control the shape , climate and nutrients uptakes. Controlling the climate at the flowering stage is key to resin production and will bring out colours in certain cultivars. So far everything is good and i can kinda see what to expect from her at harvest now and its not going to be my best yielder so far but i think the bud quality and density should make up big time for it Next week we will introduce overdrive to our nutrients and cut on the b1 seaweed Extract, i will drop the humidity as low as 35% to boost resin production as a natural defence mechanism and bring out theses precious trichomes. T’il next week happy growing 👊🏻👊🏻

Week 6 is done and everything went smoothly, using lst and defoliation will provide maximum light penetration and maximize bud structures, adjusting ph and climate and we are golden. Flowering stage is always a no brainer for me in fact i call this step cruise control. She will do her things and she is now strong so she wont react the same to high nutrients or even ph fluctuations as long as it stays near the range, her roots are strong enough to be completely submerged since she now drinks a lot more. The purple on this strain is beautiful, Not too dark and even, edges of the calix are red like whine and the pistils creamy white with a hint of salmon like pink in there. She is gorgeous and her structure is amazing, she might event yield the same as my previous grows even if she is on the small side because of her genetics. The resin is starting to fill the trichomes but still very low, this being said if i rub the top of a sugar leaf that is coated in trichomes iT will get sticky On my fingers and the smell will start with a very strong chemical/amonia like scent and 2 seconds later welcome to the damn blueberry field my friends . Amazing, that smell is just perfect, it literally make you want to much on that leaf. I’ve had blueberry before, yes it did smell a bit like blueberry But nothing compares to this one ,in my opinion hydroponic set up brings the most out terpenoids and thc production. Next phase we will start to see bud seriously stacking and resin production, after that the buds will get some weight and mature, im expecting it to be done by week 10 if i flush it by week 9 Until then happy growing and take it easy 👊🏻

Week 7 is done and that overdrive really packed more buds on her colas, spot where you could kinda see through got filled with more buds and that is neat ! Everyday she seems fatter and fatter, the trichomes are filling up slowly and developing everywhere. If you point a led flashlight at her she will sparkles more than santa Christmas tree I was right about her phenotypes regarding bud development, instead of lots of golf balls sized buds i will get 6 colas jammed pack with lovely buds. Her structure is really strong and she now drinks a lot more than she used too. She put on very nice colours under the right atmospheric conditions and the smell is getting more and more sweet as time passes Overall this cultivar is what you would expect of a blueberry in any way, from the size, the odour , the buds and leaves structure too . Where she Surprised me is in the redish/purple she shows . Dont get me wrong i have seen purple blueberry but not with that red shade in it . I am looking forward to harvest and will starts looking at trichomes with my lens more often, id say another week of full nutrients and a week of flush combined with a 48h of darkness prior to harvest Until then fellow growers, keep growing and take it easy 👊🏻
