Week 5 saw more bud growth I need terms of size, not the amount of sites. Noticed some leaves yellowing towards the bottom, moving upwards. Added additional bloom nutrients. Colas were leaning over badly so I staked some with bamboo. It appears to have helped. She’s supposed to be a 9-10 week strain but I anticipate she’ll run a couple weeks past that.
@DeepRoot3d, Glad to be here. Wish I would’ve found this site earlier! Great being apart of the growing community here and hope to continue contributing.
I'm not sure how I missed the start of this grow but I'm all caught up now and things are looking great
Yes you do look to have a slight deficiency going on which is more than likely nutrient lock out. You have started to do the right thing by doing the plane water flushes to raise your ph back to normal/acceptable levels
As said the plants will most definitely benefit from a defoliation. This will do 2 things
1- more light will be able to penetrate deeper into the canopy. Which in turn will be directed to the potential budsites
2- the energy from the removed leaves will be directed into the remaining plant. More energy= better growth
Just go in easy and take a few of those larger shade leaves that are blocking light.
Now I'm all caught up I'll be along for the ride and watching with interest mate
So far you are doing a fine job a d thank you for documenting your HSO endeavour on the grow diary platform!
@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thank you for the very helpful tips. Your advice is invaluable and unexpected as I didn't think the breeder would comment on my journal. Since you're here, how much of a stretch can I expect when I flip to flower?
Bro, my 2 cents is that’s not a mag deficiency and you don’t need to worry about ph so much. I would raise your light though, 18” is too close and that will cause the leaf bleaching I see.
@greenleafcultivators, your right mag is a mobile element but it shows itself in a very specific way. First the top of the petiole turns purple then the bottom followed by purple stems.
@juicepro, Thanks for the advice brotha! I've had the light at 18" for 3 light cycles and they've been praying to it ever since. Canopy isn't hot either. Where do you see the bleaching? Correct me if I'm wrong juice, but magnesium is a mobile nutrient; which would explain why the affected leaves are some of the oldest leaves she's got. I'm here to become a better grower and I appreciate your opinions!
i thinks Nitrogen Deficiency
Problem: A cannabis nitrogen deficiency will cause the older, lower leaves on your plant to turn yellow, wilt away and eventually die.
The yellow leaves of a nitrogen deficiency may show signs of brown, and they will usually become soft and sort of "fold" in, before possibly turning crispy but ultimately falling off on their own.
@Tonino, thanks for stopping by. Would the veins still remain green? I know both N and Mg can have similar symptoms which was why I was confused the past couple weeks.
Looking Pretty this blue dream is a real monster.... i have one that is 7 weeks old now and she is very robust... so it is nice to see how yours is moving along, like looking into the future😁
Keep on Keeping on
