February 15: I germinated two seeds in 3-gallon fabric pots with Canna coco and perlite mixed.
February 16: One seedling emerges from the coco.
February 18: Another Seed was planted in the pot where the previous seed had failed to germinate
PH and EC is unknown, I was still waiting for equipment. I used the PH drops in samples and attempted to get the PH to around 6ish.
The big thing this week was that the earlier plant shot up in height before the growing it's first real set of leaves. It then toppled over. It was the middle of the night and I couldn't buy anything to help support it so I tried training wire on a pot handle and beat up the two leaves in the process. I then added about 2cms of coco to the pot and it stood up fine and has continued to do so. New growth seems to be going fine. The second plant has no issues and has not had a growth spurt yet.
Day 8- The Second seedling sprouts.
Day 10- Plant 1 starts to topple
Day 12- The Plant completely falls in the middle of the night, I tired trainging to the pot handle. It was pretty beat up in the process
Day 13- I try adding about a CM of coco- the plant stabilizes itself and gets back to growing.
Day 15: The plant leaves are looking to be almost a limish green color. After doing some research on what that means and what other people who are using the Canna Coco nutrients are feeding their autos. I have decided to increase my nute levels. I also bought an EC reader. My feed today, with almost double the nutrient levels of last week, is at an EC of .75ms at a PH of 5.7. The leaf from Plant 1 was growing into the handle so I tied the handle back for now. Plant 1 is 5 inches tall, the light is 20 inches from the canopy.
Day 16: I'm seeing spots on the leaves where the water drops landed. Unfortunately, I got more water on the leaves today, I think I will pick up a new watering can. Today I watered at PH of 5.9 and EC of .7
Day 17: Plant 1 has popped its second node and the third is now visible. Watered at a PH of 6.1 with an EC of .66.
Day 18: Plant 1 has gotten pretty big. LST was started with just one small tilt. Watered at a PH of 6.2 with an EC of .75
Day 19: Plant 1's LST was pretty much completely redone. Plant 2 is doing well. Both were watered at a PH of 5.7 with an EC of 7.7
Been really busy!
April 20- They got to a point where i felt that they weren't thriving in one tent. Any defoliating seems grow over in 24 hours. Plant 2 was put in a second 2x2 tent with an HLG 135. After the move some of the leaves began to curl. I had the fan pointed toward the top of the plant and the lights at 14ish inches away. I moved the lights up about 1-2 inches and pointed the fan more toward the light. I am not sure if it was wind, light or heat burn but it seem to have fixed that issue. I also had reversed the timer for lights on and off and it had gotten an extra 4-6ish hours of dark. When i noticed it was sulking and droopy. It seems to be perking up now (April 21). I have been feeding them Cana Bloom since flowering began.
broke my shoulder so this hasnt been my main priority but i have been feeding 3 times a day if i can but twice for sure. The coco is totally dry after 12 hours.
Plant one, still under two autocobs has outgrown the tent. it was about 2 inches away from the lights. I have set it up in the my closet. On tuesday my new tent should be in and both will go in there as soon as I can find someone to help me as I cant reach above my head right now..
I don't even know where to put this I've lost track. Still feeding everyday. The first pistols appeared about 5 weeks in and then the plants just kept growing. I've moved them To a 4x4 and switched the lights to 12-12 about a week ago. Seen to be starting to bud
Hey man 💚😎
Will be tagging along for the journey as I'm in a pretty similar set up! Hope all goes good bro, maybe try abit of defoliation to chunk up the bud growth 👌
Take it easy bro 🤙
@Walters771,
Thanks. I see you are growing the same strain. I have a bunch of seeds left, so I'm going to keep an eye on your diary as well, good luck man! I have done a little bit of picking out leaves but mainly dead stuff, I just really need to jump in and do it. thanks man
I left the same review about them not being Auto's... It also never got posted. Kind of a bummer but the TrueNorth / Canuk customer service doesn't really seem to be an actual thing. The good news is I learned how to take clones by using the plant!
@BlueDream123, Thats awesome! With how developed they were i figured you were probably chopping and trimming... and starting a new grow totally makes sense. Can I ask what day you chopped at? I'm at day 41 of flower and just using my phone a majority of the Trichomes appear to be cloudy, but I've still got white hairs and they appear to be packing on weight every day. What strains are you doing for the new grows?
@Jay_Gardener,
Hey sorry man, ive been so busy. I started two more grows, a DWC and an organic dry amendment, which was a little too ambitious I think. I'll update here as soon as I get the DWC in the flower tent but I've harvested and dried the two plants for a total of 312gs of awesome buds that are curing now, 47.5 lower growth bud that ill cook with and about 4-5gs of dry sift in the trim bin. I am pleased with the outcome but it took a long time and a lot of frustrations.
@Jay_Gardener,
Absolutely phenomenal. I'm still pissed that they deleted my review but I'm stoked to get this wrapped up and cured because it's looking and smelling nice. With it being my first grow I've been handling the buds waaaay more than I should and it leaves my fingers with a sweet sugary smell. The section of the tent that is under the 3000k HLG light is amazingly dense. The 3500k lights aren't too far behind either. I was so worried when they didn't flower, now i feel the opposite.
hey brother, i just bought the same strain so i will be follow the rest of your grow and learn as much as i can. if you have any tips you can give me along the way they would be really appreciated. did it really take 6 weeks to flower? i was expecting 4 weeks,
