@Med_in_Tropic, organic ph adjusting works well with soil, unfortunately from my experience with hydro, it's not as stable. It was shocking seeing GHE ph down per ML is more expensive than my base nutrients. Thanks for sharing 👍👊. Being able to meet and use local stuff is amazing. I finally got invited into a local circle of long time local growers (most have grown 10+ years).
Hi @Ga4rd2en0er, I am treating pH as an indicator not the underlying cause. Don't kill me. With my soil, I think not enough N and P will have too high pH.
To lower pH during Cal Mag addition, I addeed wood vinegar (pyroligneous acid). And around where I live, wood vinegar price is is reasonable and are made by farmer co-op's.
I have this thing. I try to buy from farmers and coop's. And this can unneccessarily complicate things for people.
@Med_in_Tropic, it's rather interesting to see where the greatest expense comes from and for me its ph down. Now I am searching for a better alternative. Thinking growmore ph down 30%
