Grow Questions

I noticed a lot of plants have a growth sprout going into flowering. Mines never did it. My plants are healthy and buds are developing. Is there something I’m forgetting or is this normal for certain plants?

Currently, I have two plants, a sativa dominant and an Indica dominant. Both treated exactly the same. Same light. The Indica dominant strain has stretched 8 " in 3 days while the Sativa dominant strain has stretched maybe 2". Maybe. Every strain (and, indeed, the phenos of the stains) are different. If you've only grown a handful of different strains, you may not have had a chance yet to discover the possible variations. If, on the other hand, you have 20 grows behind you, each with multiple different strains each time, then I'd be curious as to why. Otherwise, one day you'll see it.

Hi @Geezy42 it's normal . the plants in the first 2-3 weeks of flowering stretch a lot. make a last effort to enter the flowering with greater size. good luck mate 👍

Yes for Indica Dominant Strains this is Normal. Nothing to be concerned about at all. You have the flowers. Your in the clear. With a Flowering time of 7 weeks that's relatively short and I would expect a short stretch phase with Indica Genetics and the Short flowering time. If you were growing a Sativa Dominant Strain this might be a bit more of a concern but still not the biggest concern. Iv'e seen "stretches" of 2-3 feet and Iv'e seen stretches that looked basically like a Zero stretch.

Started week 8 of flowering still no strong aroma. I can smell and it smells great. Shouldn’t the smell be overpowering by now?

Hey your plant looks beautiful 😍👌🌱. The very best smell arises only after fermentation 😍. In bloom they have a similar smell, just a little fresher :-)

hi there.. normally temperatures of up to 30C should be fine.. above that it's best to either lower the temperature, or supplement co2. With the added co2 the plant can actually handle higher temperatures and do more photosythesis.. happy growing

hey buddy :-) don't worry. 28 are not perfect now, but also no reason to panic :-). Above all, they are in the last few weeks ;-) The few days you can do that too 👍 look forward to your beautiful harvest 😍👍. i find your ph for soil very low.

Up around 30c the plant should be fine! You will still get a great harvest! You may lose some of the terpenes that become volatile at a lower temp and gas off into the atmosphere, so running AC/keeping the temps low would be mainly for preserving the full complexity of taste. This will also be a factor if temps are high during drying, and why the low 20s/high teens are good drying temps if ones climate can manage it. If that is really critical for you and worth running/increasing AC, that would be the best bet. That being said, one of my favorite harvests flowered in temps similar to yours so really it should be good 👍
