DARK HELMET

Germinated straight into soil. Took about 3 days to pop. Soil is Fox farms happy frog. They're getting minimal dose of rhizontonic for a rooting boost and 1ml cal-mag/gal

I have two 2x2 grow tents. Dark helmet only comes in regular seed form so I grew 5 different plants. I chose the more vigorous one on the far right. I transplanted from a 2.5 liter pot to 7 gallon pot. this plant drinks all the water in about 2-3 day's already, very healthy roots. Once she perked up a looked healthy I I decided to flip 12/12 MEDIUM: FOX FARMS HAPPY FROG SOIL, ADD 1 TBSP OF LIME PER GALLON OF SOIL, NITROGEN RICH BAT GUANO ADDED RIGHT BEFORE STRETCH 2 TSP PER GALLON OF SOIL, HUMIC ACIDS. I like to amend right before flower because normally my soil PH will drop a few weeks from now. The garden lime will keep the soil PH perfect with these nutrients.. for at least 2 months. TRAINING: Topped main node around week 3-4. tied down 4 tops and then just basically let her bush out from there. pretty simple. then maybe tops a few more times on leading stems that were growing too fast. she's evening out pretty nice now. Lollipopped 2 weeks ago and removed all "suckers" that I didn't want to grow. I don't get the best light penetration so I try to keep a canopy with lots of surface area but not too much depth.

This Dark Helmet looks& smells very promising. Upon opening the grow tent I can smell a sweet cakey, cookie baked goodness but when I touch a lower bud I get a sharp skunky limey funk as well. Im loving the terps! Ill be doing 7-10 waterings with PK 13/14 (on my 3rd atm)

Week 5 just cruising along. Im taking a pk 13/14 boost break and will give it one last push in week 6. I love growth structure on this genetic, no matter how close the light was it still wanted to stretch and space her nodes out. She's known for growing small, plentiful, but very dense golfball size buds. and she's doing just that! 😇 Smell: I would not say sour lime but more like a very sweet over-sugared lime like 7up. or even better Yet like if you open a box of mike n Ikes with some gas mixed in --------- I have one nutrient change into flower. Im no longer using bontanicare 2-0-0 cal mag plus (although a great product, I will use in veg and stretch) the BLOOM nutrients that I use (CANNA TERRA FLORES) contains 2 parts nitrogen so I wanted to try and limiting nitrogen from other sources after week 2 of flower to see if there is any results in even denser buds. - August 18th Day 34 of flower

The smell is ridiculous. Trying to situate anything in this tent will leave your arm coated with resin if brush up against the buds. ----------------- Im loving the lime green, trichome-caked buds forming ----------------- Im going to PK boost last 3 days of week 6

Week 7 of flower - Nutrient change: I am removing Rhizotonic Reducing Terra Flores from 20ml to 15 ml Reducing cal-mag from 2ml to 1 ml. Ocean Grown seeds recommends taking this one 9-10 weeks. I am planning for 10 weeks. I like to have a good amount of CBN(amber trichs) since I mainly use cannabis at night time for stress and insomnia. I do not see any amber trichs currently.

Week 8. Last week of feed :) these buds are definitely swelling now! there are still just a few clear trichs. one more week of growing and 2 weeks of flushing should be perfect ----------- Sept 7th decided to start flushing mid week 8 instead. The top colas are just about done. definitely some clear trichs left. then bottom the canopy looks very good too. All in all 2 weeks will be perfect for what I am looking for. (caution this strain will test your carbon filter limits)

Cultivating notes; these are very sensitive to over watering in the early stages, let them dry completely for a day or two. Choose the biggest branches for colas, (these buds grow small and dense by genes) forum GSC)) and lollipop very well, I wish I would've more to eliminate some Larf on the lowers. All in all a very unique indica hybrid, you are essentially mixing cookies with alien gear. 👽 after 3 weeks of curing the smell is starting to turn into a earthy, pungent licorice smell Im currently on day 9 of drying these buds in 51-56% RH 66-68'F. I will update with final yield and harvest in a day or two. the size of the nugs definitely trades for quality of bud. Extremely potent harvest update: everything is weighed up and we have 3oz of grade A buds, very dense and uniform. With 4 oz of shake and larf.
