Begin week 1
2/27 Transplant day
Transplanted with a mix of:
*Silica Blast
*Hydroguard
*Liquid Karma
All should have 1st set of permanent leaves tomorrow, making 2/28 Day 1.
Humidity domes on.
DAY 2 (2/29)
She is standing tall and looking good. Removed humidity dome.
Start MC feed schedule:
MegaCrop @ 2g/gal
Sweet Candy
CalMag
Recharge
DAY 8
Doing well and looking good.
24oz feed in outermost area to wet medium for microbes and mykos.
MC @2g/gal
SC @1g/gal
CalMag
65%
75°
VPD 9.5
Light 20/4
14,000 lux
Been feeding MC, SC, Calmag, @ ph adjusted 6.0 and allowing generous 1-2 days between feedings. Supplementing weekly with Recharge.
FOG - she's very short and a bit twisted looking but doing well. Her growth is quite compact, but seems on schedule for topping. As long as she has enough nodes to top, she's being topped in hopes that may get her back to vigorous open growth.
Temp: 74-76°
Rh: 60%
VPD: 10.5 (adj for leaf temp)
DAY 22
She is twisted and very compact.
Her daily height since 1 day prior to topping: 6", 6", 6".
DAY 25
Added Bud Explosion to last feed. Trimmed a few big leaves that were blocking new growth. She will benefit from the additional light as well as oncreased airflow.
DAY 29
This girl was short and very compact. Since topping, have removed a few large fan leaves to help open her up and expose inners to light. She has responded well, adding 4-5" since topping and opening up a bit. She is covered in bud sites all over her canopy
DAY 32
Pulled each plant for individual maintenance. Removed any lower leaves that were unhealthy or blocking airflow. Thes are sll looking quite healthy.
All are full on flowering with pom-poms showing...except this girl. She is a vigorous healthy bush but with a longer maturity time, so she may take longer to transition and also to fully begin flowering.
DAY 35
She's a healthy bush with a nice even canopy of colas. She's starting to stretch but is quite dense with canopy. Will let her stretch a bit more to avoid removing leaves to open her up.
Begin week 6
STRAIN DETAILS:
The Fog - Wicked Pissah Seeds
Genetics: Dutch Passion Think Different XL x M. O. B
Cycle time: (75-100d)
Size: medium (2-3')
Yield: heavy (120-150g)
16-19%
DAY 41
She's had quite a few big green healthy fan leaves removed to open her up to light and air.
She has the longest maturity date of all in the tent, and is starting to show that her race will be a marathon as the others pull ahead despite her great health. What she lacks in speed should be made up in bounty.
Begin week 7
DAY 45
Been doing daily 28-35oz+ feedings for most of the past 2 weeks.
Did a complete mid-grow flush of all:
1gal w/Clearex
1gal plain water
1qt/base feed w/Recharge & Mammoth
Maybe with microbes this flush was a mistake?
Time will tell.
Switched monkey fan to high and left tent door open to help with evaporation. Rh 57%.
DAY 53
FOG is a bush that is covered with buds the length of her branches. She's wide, bushy and the best color of all in the tent. At 75/100 days for this strain, she has 5-7 weeks to live up to her DP genetics. With 12 arms filling in, shes off to a good start.
Begin week 9
She is building 12 colas and will be impressive. Looking at the canopy isn't much of a "sight", but underneath is a jungle of extremely hairy branches. She has a wonderful berry smell.
of thick white pistils.
DAY 62
Been struggling with some thickening and yellowing leaves.
Have suspected P or Mg deficiency. The symptoms seem improve with lower ph feed and supplementing Epsom salts. Recent feedings have been <6.0ph.
Everyone got an out of tent inspection, trim and mini-flush...feed 1gal MC only with good runoff. Runoff ph was 7.0.
Most of the thick, dry, deficient leaves are on the 4AMs and BRK, and... surprisingly, wthere weren't too many.
Will continue feeding with reduced ph (5.6-6.0) nutrients. Switching Bloom nutes to Hydroplex for increased P ratio. Beautiful buds everywhere.
DAY 63
After the mini-flush pots are heavy, but everyone looks rough. Gave everyone 2tsp Epsom in 24oz water. Neglected to ph nutrient water. Several hours later, everyone looks much happier and less yellowed.
Lowered fan and increased speed to aid in transpiration to dry the pots.
Re-discovered BACK-BUILDING.
Back-building is the practice of topping individual buds a tiny amount which causes buds to swell as they respond in a way similar to how plants respond to topping.
Had done a side by side with this technique on a single plant in the past and was able to see the results. This technique removes almost nothing but stimulates growth signals. It works.
Performed this technique on 80-90% of this crop. This could be especially helpful on lower minor buds.
Begin week 10
She is less than 16" tall and will likely be the best yielder of 5. She has 12 Popeye arms that have soda can sized colas. She had so much dense growth, 2 days ago she was tied open to let her gorilla arms into the light. Her undergrowth is just a mass of bud growth. She remains healthy and will go a couple of weeks more.
Begin Week 12
DAY 79
She has gotten very chunky. Will be chopping her soon.
DAY 81
Partial chop (50%) and into the MyHerbsNow drier. Will chop remaining 50% tomorrow and pmace on a separate tray in the drier.
Yield after drying to desired rh%: 112g
