OLD HEAD Photo x Gelato Auto

LAzerBEAN Currently unknown seed. This strain has been locally grown in North East USA for at least 40 years. My plan is to breed this with either c4 or gelato auto feminized pollen. (Or both through selective branch breeding. Grow out the F1's. Breed them. Select autos from that 25% offspring and hit them with the reversed pollen to get my new auto cross. We will see. LAzerBEAN Watered with lemon and recharge. They are responding well to the lights.

LAzerBEAN Oh no! Horrible light burn! The lights were at approx. 24" away and burned the shit out of the plants. I backed the light off to 36" and now they are praying. The new growth looks fine. So I still haven't found out what these plants are. So for now they're called OLD HEAD. Nice big stalks with some-what large leaves. Just for the hell of it I topped the biggest of the four plants. might as well push and experiment. This was bag seed locally grown. They are very sensitive to light which I haven't ran into before. The plants look terrible but they are recovering and most likely will be perfectly fine. Bummer.

LAzerBEAN Experiencing major issues. Originally I thought these were light sensitive and they were being light burnt because they're are in the exact same setup as 4 other strains that are doing fine. So I changed out the light to a blurple with just the veg switch on and backed it off to 36". I turned a fan down in case that was an issue too. This week they aren't up-taking any water! So they must be in a lock out but they have had all the same nutes water and recharge as all the other strains. Not quite sure what to do other than scratch in some bio-live and recharge and Cal/mag/iron. Maybe the roots rotted because they weren't started in small pots and the roots got too wet. ----- Since they are doing terrible I germinated 3 more. This time starting them in smaller containers. I haven't grown photos in a few years and started the first run in 5 gallons from seed. Maybe transplanting will help with root structure.

LAzerBEAN Plants are doing much better since changing the 6 cob light with a blurple set to veg. Germinated one more. Took a cutting from one and is in my humidity rig. These plants are more picky than any strain I've grown before. I have a feeling that they are all males as well. Ha! At least I can get some pollen.

LAzerBEAN I really don't like these plants. Seems like no matter what environment they're in, it's fan leaves are burnt. New growth looks great. Just the fan leaves are crumby. Seems like whatever amount of light I give them is too much. So now they're stretching like crazy cuz I backed all the light off. Really don't care if they die at this point. I germinated another one and it seems to be doing great. growing 4 other strains in the same room with the same everything (organic nutes up until now) and these just don't perform. All four plants don't have pistils. Probably males. No signs of sex at all. So I got irritated and broke out old dynagro foliage and fed them that at full strength. I also broke all the interior of the stem walls to help with uptake. I also pulled all the fan leaves which is ridiculous in veg. No point. They're just pissing me off.

LAzerBEAN I threw out a spindly plant. Transplanted a new plant. I fed 5 year old dynagro foliage and protect and OMG!!! Plants flourished practically overnight. Saved the day. So much for an organic grow. Added a 6" out take fan and filter that is way to powerful. But with a temp controller it cools the tent down 3 degrees in 1 mintute! 100% regulating temps now. Just up'ed my grow game 50% or more. Really happy with the environment.

LAzerBEAN The plants are doing the same thing. They are acting like I over watered them. These are the most difficult plants ever. Really don't like them. 3 of the 4 are females. Taking a long time to sex them pre-12/12.

LAzerBEAN Grow room construction. Changed my room into two 3x4' spaces. These are the most sensitive plants. Ridiculous. They are getting big and I'm going to switch them to flower soon. Everytime I water, no matter how much, they act like they are going to die and the leaves immediately curl up and dry out. Its not a pH thing. If it is and these plants require a weird pH of 5 or something... Fuck em. Not worth my time. I do want to see what they harvest though. Clones from my Bruce banner bag seed are starting to root. (This is documented in my other breeding diary)

LAzerBEAN Super cropped a couple. Switched to 12/12 but have light leaks. Half are showing pre-flowers.

LAzerBEAN Cropped another. Have a good canopy spread. Made some Dr. Earth tea. Plants responded well. They are on 12/12 but light leaks are preventing them from flowering at this point. I have to build a better door and vent.

LAzerBEAN They are starting to really fill out. Water with lemon for ph down, cal/mag +iron. Doing well.

LAzerBEAN Trying out FishSh!t. Watered with cal/mag/iron and lemon for pH down. Buds are filling out and developing. Pollinated a couple branches with Gelato Auto pollen. Still these plants seem to get nute burn every time I water. Maybe they don't like the lemon for pH down. All other strains respond well.

LAzerBEAN Fed with lemon for pH down and cal/mag. All is well. I can't tell if the pollen has took yet. Probly by next week.

LAzerBEAN Buds are thickening up. The gelato auto pollen took on the branches I pollinated. Getting some white developing seeds!😃 Really heavy earthy smell. Super cropping worked really well for canopy development!

LAzerBEAN Fed with Dr. Earth bloom tea. 2 cups Dr. Earth flower girl to 1 gallon of water. 2 cups of tea per plant. Had some nute burn but overall they are doing fine.

LAzerBEAN Buds weren't particularly large but there were lots of them! The plants were picky and didn't take pollen as easily as other strains. These would also stress extremely easily. They responded to training pretty well.
