All good this second week, all looks good, looking happy and settled in her new veg room, no signs of stretch or stress, will keep nutrients away this time until the 12 12 switch, will let the bio bizz light mix soil provide the veg nutes ...so baby is fine....more updates next week guys thanks for watching! Xxx
All good this week steady grow ....made a small mistake of fully watering the pots and its been a week since watering and still wet as they are still young....i want them to dry fast for root strength and expansion so next time i will keep it mind...waiting for some few more nodes to begin the main lining technique ...xxx
This week lowered the soil ppm to around 700 so i can be in control of nutes and follow up with any deficiencies it might appear , straight away the leaves started fading like 10% so i know im feeding now and not the soil....
Also applied first topping and guess i will go for another two toppings to create 8 main colas with no small stems whatsoever for thick dense buds. ... well see how she responds. So far she didnt have any visible progress like dosidos33 had but leaves lookon upwards like normal...well see and keep posting
Other than that just a batch of red spider mites under the cotyledon leaves treated with low ph spray and seems ok so far until i get proper mite sprays...
Plant looks a bit shorter than dosidos 33 growing next to each other even though has 60% sativa genes.
Mid week Update:
Transplanted and ready to veg further ..No signs of stress from topping or translplating. Xxx
Mid week Update:
Stripped off the side branches leaving only the leaves and thinking of mainlining or just let them with just one topping and no further trimmings...I will decide later this week xxx happy growing all
Another week, growing strong moved to the bigger tent to accommodate some vegging and the flowering period and so did our feeding schedule, upscaled to half strength dose of nutes and already topped the two new colas and progressing nicely for the main-lining formation. A bit slow now the first few days of recovery but as soon as it starts getting back on its feet will have the third and last topping to form the 8 colas and continue growing strong before the flowering.
Added my 400w hid in the light schedule sunset till dawn when low temps so it keeps things in optimum temps mostly. After that leds keep it at 24 25c without stressing fans or electricity untill dark cycle. Night cycle is daytime in reality to avoid heaters.
Peace and happy yields :) xxx
Another week and we are done with the toppings and now have total of 8 new small colas forming so fingers crossed all will work out nicely and get some fat dense sticky buds at the end.
Wassup people another week already and this little monster is gaining strength and soon will grow vigorously after a week of good rest and healing from the toppings. Seems to be doing fine, did some small pinching on a taller stem and now all in same height enjoying the new bright MH 250 light added. Seems like after adding the MH bulb the new fresh colas gained triple height but not sure if its the sativa genes or the light or anything abnormal but looks good.
Lights, yes, replaced the 2x 70w leds and the HPS400 on ceiling (that acted as a light for flowering the autos and giving warmth below to my veging fotos) with a 250MH now covering the whole tent and now in optimum DLI range and temps.
As far as the nutrients, have also added Voodoo Juice, Rhino Skin, Sensizym into my AN Nutes collection so cant wait to use them when i go to bloom stage and see the change. Never actually worked with the roots area and the immune system so i guess it was a missing piece of the puzzle. I'm very positive about this and looking forward to a proper harvest.
Peace all and keep safe xxx
Mid week update:
Just moved the baby into an 11L pot that is likely to be the final till harvest, HSTed and LSTed and about to enter flowering cycle very soon.
As seen on pictures added today the mainlining is ready and gradually adding more night hours to reach 12/12 and see how it goes from there
8th week is here and mainlining is ready which means one thing....12/12 cycle :).
This week been turning the lights gradually off hour by hour so now we are heading into flowering cycle and things are about to get interested with this promising strain from Barneys.
Lower leaves and budshoots are off with only the top nodes left to grow from now on...
The MH light has been replaced by the HPS and at the moment we get around 35-40 DLI. Waiting for some new fans to arrive and will move up to 400 watts and push it more and more...if summer temperatures become a problem I might just buy some co2 exhale bags so they can continue growing uninterrupted.
Will update mid week if anything comes up so keep safe keep growing xxx
Another new week this time with the 12/12 cycle and everything ready for the flowering. Preflowers started showing up so this little girl is about to become a full grown lady with all her goodies on offer.
This week had to start with the bloom feed schedule so after some initial watering I came across some low ph runoff around 5.60 after the initial transplanting last week so flushed it well and brought it back to normal range and fed with roots and bloom nutes to get back it up and running fast. At this point Silica will be added each time into the schedule and provide some extra strength required for the flowering..
A last defoliation was made also with the lowest fan leaves and budshoots removed and all looks good so far...
New week and this means official flowering for the girl, stretching, preflowers, pistils and a big smile after some 9 weeks of vegetation and mainline formation.
I believe this is a very promising strain very sturdy, never seen any slowing of growth after any cutting or stress low or high and hoping for some big fat frosty colas with the new addition of more missing nutes such as Silica, voodoo juice and sensizym as I believe roots are very important too and I saw immediate results when I added those missing elements to my other autoflowering plants which apparently stopped drooping just before lights off and just from day 2 and never saw them droop since...check other diary...
Peace
Mid week update:
Had to take a few more shots of this lady as Im impressed the way the buds form so quickly and look so packed even from such early stage, it proves the main lining technique works and will deliver what promises, big fat dense colas...
A new week and the girl went through some serious heat reaching 38 - 39.9 celsius and boy what a trip that was, for me mostly :) . I took me two days until i get an AC unit installed and by that time some of the leave tips turned black and dry, some pests showed up, humidity went around 20s but impressively the plant seems to be doing fine and really is a heat resistant as also stated by Barneys on their strain characteristics so an accurate description respect for that. All the symptoms and pests went away after some TLC, AC unit some organic oily pest spray and i guess Silica and B52 (Kelp and vitamins) had their part in securing and protecting the plant from stress and stunt growth so all good so far, i expect some dense buds by the looks so mainlining technique looks very promising
Dear diary,
Even though we have some leaves discoloration some few bugs here and there the buds seem to grow fine looking frosty and dense and no visible harm, at least to my eyes. Until i figure out what these yellow lime coloured leaves mean i got to flash with neutral ph and 1/2 strength nutes for possible salt build up clean on my last watering and can't really find an accurate solution online with what the problem might be, the closest i could get matching my lime yellow leaves was regards to zinc or magnesium or iron or my guess is also the heat stress that plant went through last week as the leaf tips went black and curled up and dried before getting more yellowish and burn on sides...
Anyway the growth is not stunted i can see difference each day and temperature is back to normal so will be patient to see the future reactions of plant and decide the recovery plant.
All good this week with some glowing buds in formation and a nice aroma even though has long way to go before it starts to get really stinky. Plant looks very promising, sticky and covered in trichomes just as expected with these new Barneys farm releases.
Since that heatwave 2 weeks ago we saw the appearance of some few bugs of some sort, a thrips with its babies crawling around the leaves, some spidermites and fungus gnats which have all (or at least most) been taken cared of with some organic spray, yellow tapes, drying of soil, manual squeeze of this mofos and leaf removals with eggs or damage. Good thing is the buds are growing normally and as mentioned before, looking like proper buds, dense and covered in trichomes.
Another thing is that the stem where one of the toppings took place just split open in half thankfully without any harm to the development so it was taped and fixed and continues her journey.
6th week already and this lovely girl is filling up nicely with lots of resin and dense buds, compact and thick pistils and strong thick stems compared to my previous non mainlining grows, hopefully will yield even more this time even though Im using a 250watter this time instead of the 400w used before...
16th week already since that little tiny seed sprouted this beautiful tall lady with dense mainlined buds covered in shiny crystals and sticky leaves convinced once more that these new Barneys strains are top quality and makes me eager to start my new grow cycle with the latest additions such as Mimosa Evo, Wedding Cake and old time classic Amnesia Lemon but lets just focus on this one for now.
This week im going for full dose on the blooming supplements and 3/4 of the A and B solutions approx around 900ppm and see if any results as all this time was around 650ppm. Maybe this is fine though and i maybe overdoing it with feeding higher EC since the light source is low density, a 250w HPS and DLI around 40-50.
Also the night cycle temps are the same as the day cycle, sometimes even higher by one or a couple of degrees and generally around 30degres celsius. Plant seems to be fine and very robust just some tips on leaves curl upwards and dry out hopefully no harm on the yieldz..
New week and boy its getting hot with temps reaching 32c - 34c at lights ON and 32c - 37c at lights OFF. Lost a lot leaves but still, the buds look awesome covered with lots of crystals and so dense and packed that when you try to squeeze them with your fingers it just feels rock solid and doesn't actually squeeze.
Im impressed by how good this strain handles the heat so well and still packed, dense, heavy and heavily coated growing up uninterrupted. Though I have a small fear that above 35c I'm just losing yield....I was expecting the branches to be overtaken by bud growth but haven't seen that
This grow started very promising but heat was an obstacle in yield. A very low yield of 50 dried and dense grams was the outcome of 9 weeks of veg, mainlined, hst, lst and flowering in the 30c-40c temperature range.
Really satisfied with the bud quality and formation, very packed and dense nugs with lots of crystals and a very uplifting high due to genetics and early harvest. Would definitely recommend this strain but with lower temps than mine so you get the more rich looks and colors and stronger more intense smell and flavor.
