General commenting: So, first time growing cannabis (actually any kind of plant) and I decided to create this diary to keep track of things and maybe get some feedback. I will be using autopots with airdomes and general hydroponics flora nova nutrients. Im using a layer of clay pebbles and a mix of 50/50 coco and perlite. Week commenting: Im not feeding the plants with nutrients for now and autopots/airdomes are not turned on yet. Im just watering them just a little bit around the seedling every 12 hours. You will see that one of them is kinda bending a little bit. It was worse. That one had trouble getting rid of the seed during sprouting, so I gave it a little hand after one day. Not sure if it was the right thing to do but it seems to be fine right now. I think it seems around 1 day behide the other but I think its because of all the problems it had. Anyway, I added a little bit of coco because I think the seedling was too stretched. Adding more coco worked and it seems to be fine now. Only thing Im worried about is the small white dots all over the leaves. Again, this is my first time growing anyting at all, so I'll gladly accept feedbacks but take it easy when criticizing!

Should I worry about the white dots on the Gelato Kush leaves? Also, since the beggining the Gelato is behide the Jack. Is there anything I can do? Is this a problem?

your earth is COCO earth with lots of perlite and you mentioned clay pebbles as well. Those don't include any nutes in them so best advice would be to start feeding as soon as possible.just dont let it starve,it won't be able to find nutrients in the medium as its roots get bigger.you'll fertilize the coco with nutrients.and set your ph to 6.0-6.1 for this stage. guy talking about soil obviously

So, second week in veg light schedule and I have finally turned the autopots system on. Nutrients are still 1000ppm. Im still patient and checking how the plants are reacting to all the new things. Currently every morning (around 9) after hours of light (I turn the lights on from 6pm to 12am), the leaves are all happy pointing up, but after 6 hours without light they come back to normal. I think the small burn on the Jack is a scar at this point (damn me accidentally spilling nutrients on the leaves). Apart from that there is nothing really new since the last daily report. I have dropped the daylight temperature by 1 degree celsius and the humidity by 10%... I think from now on Ill probably only report here every couple days unless something really weird or incredible happens. Or if I decide to change something. Ill try to keep uploading pictures everyday.

I will start the third week a day earlier because I will know go back to my routine during weekdays and on sundays I will have more time for decision making, pictures and longer reports. Once they seem to be ok, I will adjust the nutrients to 1200ppm on the autopots tank so it can increase through the week when releasing more water. I dont have much to add ince they seem to be ok and I think theyre finally starting to get thicker. I will try to keep uploading photos/reports every couple days or every time I see something unusual happening.

So, Im starting a new week and due to Corona quarantine Ill be using regular water for now on. Just filled the autopot flexibox with 20 liters of good water for the last time. I also increased the fertilizer to around 1500 ppm. Ill keep watching them and I dont plan to change anything until the flexibox is empty. I will keep posting updates every Wednesday and Sunday. Im hoping this or next week will be the last one(s) in veg, but Im not really sure yet. I will keep you updated.

So, I was wondering if I should start flowering or keep going with veg for one more week. I think I will keep the girls on veg until next Sunday because the Jacks are just getting the leaves with 5 points and I still have more than 60% or height until the plants can touch the light. Everything else still the same. I thought that the yellow point in one of the Jacks leaves was nutrient burns because I increased the nutrients on the beggining of the week but it didnt get any bigger, so I guess its nothing to think about. I will post a question and decide the future of this week. If anything changes with the question's results, I will just update this week.

Hi @ILikeTomatoes your plants seem to me not too ripe to bloom. still have no structure and branches developed to give a good bud formation, they need to create some more shoots. normally I start flowering with an average of 7-9 weeks depending on the speed that they stretch. good luck in flowering mate 👍

So, I decided to start flowering this week because I would get out of space in the tent if I decided to keep veg for one more week. Also, due to Corona Virus I think I will want them to be ready ASAP. Nothing really new. I had around 25% of the old nutrients (flora nova veg) in my 20l flexibos and I filled it with water and mixed the bloom nutrients until it get to around 1300ppm. Note: I started changing the light schedule on wednesday, removing 2hrs of light per day until I get to 12/12 schedule. Note 2: Sorry I have not uploaded new pics on wednesday, but I didnt think that I had anything special to share. Im thinking about scrog but I dont know when to begin,. I will open a grow question next weekend. Until there, if anyone sees this and want to help, please leave a comment!

So, nothing really new. Im keeping the same amount of nutrients, didnt really change anything. Only thing is that I had two problems today: 1 - The AC I was using to keep the temperature around 25 degrees celsius broke so Im now using a fan and I will have to deal with a 30 degrees environment until I can get it fixed (Maybe I can have it done before the middle of the week so I wont change the temperature on the diary. If I cant get it fixed until then, I will update the diary. 2 - I was trying to pull the top of the plant down with a string because it was really close to the light, almost burning as you can see on the pictures. The thing is that when doing so, I ended up bending it a little too much and could hear it snapping, but I immediatelly moved it back to make it straight. I don't know if it will be able to recover or if it will just die. I will open a question here to check what to do about it.

I was bending my plant to take it away from the light and when doing so, I ended up bending it a little too much and could hear it snapping, but I immediatelly moved it back and now it seems like its normal, I can't really tell. Will it die? Will I lose part of the plant?

Take a look at where the plant snapped. Did it actually break or did it just crush the stem? Either way its honestly not a big deal and the plant will recover just fine, it's just how you help it is different. If the stem actually snapped and it is broken open, grab some plastic wrap and tape to set it back in place and bandage it up. the plastic wrap will keep moisture in, seal the wound from infection, and make it easier to remove the tape once healed. It shouldn't take super long time to heal. Maybe 5-7 days. If you don't think its fully healed leave the bandage on longer. If the stem just wound up getting crushed and isn't snapped open then you don't need to bandage it up, even if the outer skin has cracked a little. This is actually a high-stress training technique used to help train down stubborn stems that don't want to easily bend. even though its is labeled as a high-stress training, it really doesn't phase the plant at all. I was experimenting with a plant a few grows ago where I did tons of super cropping breaking each branch 5-6 times over the course of the grow and then tying them down. Each time o crushed the stems and bent em down, they were back up and starting to recover already the next day within 24 hours. So if this is what happened I wouldn't worry about it. all in all the plant will recover just fine. Even if that 1 branch broke off completely it wouldn't kill the plant. That one branch would just be lost. Thankfully here it seems like it is still quite attached so you will be just fine. Good luck with this and I hope for a speedy recovery! if you need any more assistance feel free to dm me!

So, Im sorry I didnt update this yesterday. I've been playing some games due to quarantine and I'm a little addicted. I couldn't fix the AC during the week so last week was actually 30 degrees celsius. The good news is that the AC started working again today, so this week the temperature is going back to normal. Both plants didn't like the heat a lot. Gelato managed to somewhow keep growing good buds while the Jack didnt that much. Right now Im not sure if this is because of the strain difference or because of the temperature problem. Apart from that, everything ok. Just some small burns due to heat.

So, I'm growing two different strains and reporting weekly on my diary since the beginning. One of the plants is developing a lot faster than the other and I think I may have to end its flowering first? Im not sure how to deal with it because this is my first grow ever.

Nothing really new. The AC is still working so I managed to have lower temperatures and I think that resulted in more trichomes(?). Jack is still behide and while the Gelato is having really nice buds, Im a little worried about how much the Jacks are going to harvest.

So, I think Im getting close to finally harvest my plants and I would like to get any advices you can give me based on the pictures/reports on my journal. I am mostly worried about the buds difference between them (they're not the same strain) and how to proceed about it.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. They both look n sound lovely.. Ok cuz they in separate pots just carry on feeding as u are.. I see they are 6 wks into actual 12/12 so maybe 2wks on gelato n 3wks on jack.. Im kinda in separate minds tho now tbh.. Avin a gud look at them they both look around same phase/stage in bloom.. The gelato girl looks fat but is that just her genes im now thinkin.. U see them every day so u'll know best.. Keep feeding as normal and in wk start to add pk boosters(sparingly) if u plan to use them.. Then start flush.. If in 1-2wks either of them are still showing active growth and fresh white pistils all over plant still just add an extra wk on her schedule.. If 1 starts getting 2/3rds brown pistils n u can check trichs n looks gud(mostly cloudy, few amber) then flush her n carry on with normal feed on other-get ur humidy as low as possible in last wk/flush.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

Nothing really new, just the hairs getting darker in boths. Im a little worried about when to start flushing. I will probably add a question about it in here. Also, the leaves seems kinda burnt (even the ones that are not that close from the light). I will probably add a question about it as well.

What are those burns? Are they from underfeeding or overfeeding? I was using around 1300ppm but then I decided to use 1000 and it didnt get better...

I have the power of hid and I only start flower nutes at 600 ppm total. Your real high and now your girls are experiencing overfeeding. Always better to underfeed and give more if needed. Less is always best... I would run straight ph water until you get rid of some of those built up nutes. Cheers

Last week I noticed that the leaves were starting to burn on the tips and added a question here. Most ppl said I should give less nutrients so I started giving only 800ppm (I was giving them 1000). Today I noticed that the leaves were like this.

So, as you can see on last week's questions, I ended up causing a nutrient burn on both my plants so this week I decided to slow down with the nutes and put around 400ppm. I think Gelato's pistils are around 30/35%, so I would say (by the speed it took to get to where it is now) one or two more weeks until I flush for a week and then harvest? The Jack is a little weird. The pistils from lower buds are around the same as Gelato, but the one at the top is not changing at all... I will give it some more time and check again. Anyway, I think I wont have a problem if the Jacks are behide once I want to use the Gelato to have a more relaxing effect before going to bed, so I would have no problem waiting for the Jacks to get ready before harvesting both.
