This week I doubled the nutrients for my lady and I am giving them a lot of sunlight.
Things are going great and I am pretty sure that this girl can get up fast
I couldnt fck up more... I tried LST and on day 2 i pulled a bit harder and man i heard a snap and my heart stopped. Cold blood spread around my body as I knew what I had done. My fears and phobies were verified just by looking at it. I snapped my baby girl right above the first node. I topped accidentally my AUTO one week pre flowering. For real I screwed up so hard with this.... I feel real sad now :(
Do you think she can survive that? I searched around if the top that got chopped could be saved with boiled water and honey which i then applied to the end of the stem and planted it on warm coco with ph around 5.7-6 & high RH. She was a strong plant so I hope she can make it
now the plant is sad and is trying to grow back again.
Somehow I managed to damage the plant more, probably hitting it with the lamp and I supercropped it.. The stem became see-through but after 3-4 days it became fat and solid .
Im bummed out with the amount of fuck ups on this particular plant. It has been hell for it...
I accidentally topped it, I ripped apart a side top, I burned 2 leaves with a cfl lamp, I accidentally supercropped it... Ah feels bad.. The other 2 girls however are growing PERFECTLY.
This week the big bang started growing (again haha) strong , the accidental supercropping made my plant grow fast!
Its like I lost 3 weeks of veg growth but having an enormous root system helped massively on this. It s an auto but i find it weird (and I consider myself lucky) that it hasnt flowered yet! I am looking for some quality and quantity from this bae and I hope she will deliver :))
ALSO THIS ISNOT HYDRO ITS COCO CHOIR IDK WHY IT SAYS HYDRO XD
This week I started doing heavier LST, I spread the canopy and i have many colas on top
Also I pinch and bend many branches and point them towards the top and then tie them.
The plant since this week is staying outdoors.
Pros: uber fast growth, handles stress like crazy! She has been topped who knows how many times, and then mainlined , hard stress training by pressing the branches and tying them in place! as a result she got an even distributed canopy with 9 collas!
cons: bugs, this plant attracts too many insects.. tiny spiders, tiny flies, and a bunch of other weird insects.
Truely amazed with the progress of this plant!
This girl is a heavy water drinker she drinks 4 liters of water per day, two liters every 12 hours! She is growing some fat nugs now from like 9 tops or something. Having some minor issues with bugs.
Growing just fine! nugs getting bigger and bigger. Doesnt have strong smell but it has a distinct one. I believe in one month this girl will be ready.
Feels just right to see how this girl grows :)
This week everything went fine big fat flowers everywhere. Lots of pistils. I had an issue where the trunk split in half.. I love this girl so much! Smells amazing
On friday I found some rotten buds due to a caterpillar attack.. some butterfly probably laid some eggs, the egg hatched and the little caterpillar started eating the leaves and then went inside the buds. Within a day it went on 3 tops and these spots all had necrotic damage. From what I read the caterpillar's poop contains many fungi and many of them are eating alive the plant leaving behind a septic web. I found the suspect alive..
I lost around 2-3 grams due to that and the buds werent ripe yet. I panicked and choped more than I should but at least it is safe for consumption since it was clean..
Really great sleep stuff, great smell and taste! Very easy to train and accepts mistakes. I literally cut the plant from the fifth node down to the first and this girl yielded 60g, more than the other 2 that I run in this grow. I really recommend this one for newcomers! However it has no resistance to pest like fungus gnats..
really great plant but with very few resistances. I had issues with some moths that appeared on my plant killing around 5g of buds. I looked at my plants and then I saw a dead leaf and I tried to see it so i touched and it fell down. I picked it up and saw something like mold and I opened up the buds and botritis had infected my plants.. sucked cause I had to harvest a week earlier than I wanted.
I'm sure that your autoflower can recover. If the snap would've happened later it could've caused a problem. Some people will top autos. They're made to be vigorous in growth early on. So I'm going to bet that she'll still produce for you. Wish you all the best during these tough times.
@Treenoded,
Yes, it is indeed fascinating. Or it's just your good mothering/ growing skills. Either way glad she's still alive and kicking for you. Congrats bud👍🥂
Green & clean!
@Huggomadd, Hey mate check my other post if you want I have more details on the grow and more pictures. I am pretty sure that it will get strong since it had a monsterous root system. And in fact it did. for 3 days it did almost nothing and yesterday and today it grew 6-7cms and started growing sidebranches as well. Finally it grew 3 nodes in 2 days which is fascinating.
@Treenoded, amazing! I originally planted within the final pot (3 gal), and that’s doing fine but I was growing more concerned that I couldn’t water to runoff (because then the coco would stay damp for days and days)...not to mention the rootball would look all kinds of odd... so...
You inspired me to take my tiny tiny seedlings and move them into solo cups (I figure, they’re only 6 days old, so either they hate it and die — or they take it fine and thrive) nestled within the 3 gal pot. I basically took three cups... the innermost one has no bottom and has a slit all the way up the side(makes it super easy to poop into the coco and just slide the cup out)...then outside of that, there’s a solo cup with tons of drainage holes, and outside that, it’s just a regular cup with a few small rocks to catch the runoff and give a little extra space for the water. I love your trick of making sure the coco you transplant into is the same humidity and nutrient solution. I’ll definitely be borrowing that idea when it comes time to transplant.
@briefbriefs, hi! due to space issues, i could accomodate 1 large pot and 2 solo cups. I found a bigger space for 2 plants and then I transplanted them carefully. I made sure that the coco was at the same humidity level and had the same nutrient solution with the solo cup in order to trick the plant and not stress it. The roots were all over the solo cup so I untangled them very very carefully so they wouldnt tie themselves. just a small push out and placed them in their pots carefully. The LSD had no issues, the cheese didnt really like it but it has grown a solid root system. The big bang has a huge root system as well and is really thirsty..
