First attempt at coco and autoflowers. Right now the plant is under a 128w led till my photo blueberries finish in the tent. From end to end width wise it's at 20 inches. I'm seeing some areas on a few leaves that look like a caterpillar had been feeding. No signs of flowering yet.
The plant is now under my perfect sun dwarf star. I was seeing signs of light stress so I raised it from 2 feet to 4 feet, powerful light! Also the plant is very dark green so I lowering the nute level. Preflowers made an appearance 2 days ago with some white hairs. From what i've read this is not flowering for auto flowers, should start flowering next week.
Small amounts of flowers starting still no smell at all. Not sure if anyone can help me but i'm getting some yellow leaves near the bottom and some brown spots on the bottom leaves. Also some purple stems. Started adding 1 tsp of epsom salts per gallon of water again to hopefully halt the purple stems. I need to leave town soon for 4 days and have been watering every day. Any ideas how I can water while i'm gone? Will it be ok without water for 4 days? It's in pure coco.
Update today 12/25/17. It's grown a lot in the last few days. Now there is a very mild citrus smell. Looking good! 3 gal pots are too small for sure. Next grow is going to be in 5 gal fabric pots.
Plants are too dark green, dropped nutes back to 6ml a gallon. 18 is too close to the light so I'm about to tie down my largest branches. Grow is looking good! Auto flowers is where it's at!
This week I added canna pk and dropped canna A and B down to 5. I was seeing some leaf tips burning. Should I continue with the PK or stop like the canna site says?
Dropped the nutes due to more leaf tip burning. Buds are steadily getting denser and heavier. Check out that enormous calyx from an older pre flower! It would be nice if every calyx ended up that big!
Just started to flush with ph'd water. The flowers aren't going to get much bigger from this point and the trichomes are already 100 percent cloudy although there aren't many red hairs yet.
Mostly white trichomes at this point and just waiting for some amber. Been flushing with ph'd water since buds stopped growing in size. Very nice smell!
I'm guessing harvest will be next weekend. Still waiting on some amber trichomes, very few still. My other super skunk auto which is two weeks behind this one had like 10 male flowers so I can see the buds are quite seedy. No big deal since seeds are expensive. Odd thing is the plant that grew the male flowers has no seeds as far as I can tell.
I'm planning on harvesting next weekend just waiting for a few more amber trichomes. I know it looks over ripe in the pictures but still there are only 5 to 10 percent amber trichomes.
