another good week went by. No catastrophes. The new lightbulb I bought is a 3000 K to replace a 3100 K that went out a week ago. I’ll be honest, the Bulb that went out was an inexpensive Bulb that came with my lights. The light I replaced it with is a Philips brand. I don’t know if it’s the difference between 3000 and 3100, or the difference in the quality of the bulb. But the Phillips is noticeably whiter and brighter
I will replace the other original Bulb before the next crop.
Had a little issue with nutrients. The king Tutts tad bit of burning on the leaves. I immediately watered down my solution. The white widow and the Obi-Wan Kush showed no sign of burning. Another reason to grow the same strain at once instead of several strains under the same system.
By the way, I don’t think I’m gonna grow crops this summer because it’s just too hot in the south . I would have to air condition my room separately from the house. It has been expensive. So I’ll start a new crop in the fall. I’ve always used Canuck seeds and been very happy with them. I would be open to something new.
I would be very curious as to suggestions as what’s a good strain for this falls crop that is good quality and good yield. Nothing big just the magic seeds we are all looking for. 😊😊
I think I am at least two weeks out. We’ll see.
It’s a slow train coming......
Hi ho! I am getting close to harvest. Probably a week away or so. On each plant there are about three or four Spears that will mature first. Do any of you harvest those who first and then wait for the lower buds to mature for an extra few days or a week?
Hey :-) Look with a microscope 👌If the trichome heads are about 70% milky and 30% clear, you can start with the flush. If the trichomes are about 70% milky and 30% amber, it is a very good time to harvest 👍🙏🏻 but do not pay attention to the leaves of the trichomes on the buds 👍
hey there, yeah for sure, with so few plants you really just want the most out of it, and this way is the only way to really assure that.... cure and dry everything except the fan leafs then make sure you have what you need to make hash, even the smallest trim can be used, and it's a great thing to get your own bubble hash really. Hope this helps ! 🚀
Hi there, for me it depends on how much they are behind and how big they are, whether i first top the bigger colas or not. If they don't seem to be far behind, or aren't very big, then i just cut the whole plant, but if they're rather substantial in size, and still need a week, then the main ones will come off first.
happy growing.. or in this case harvesting! :)
Greetings from Russia! Your plants look great! Keep developing in the same spirit! If you are interested in watching the adventures of weed in Russia, then subscribe to my diary
@CanadianFillmore,Thanks! Great information. That’s exactly what’s happening to the tops of my tallest spears
My rookie mentality is more is better. I did the same thing by over fertilizing earlier in the grow. Thanks again for the information
You are Looking for good Seeds for the next grow=?. I recommendd you to look for Cupwinners. LIke the RQS Royal Cheese, The Candy Kush.. etc.... Just go on a breeders site and look if they have won a goldcup At the cannafairs
Most ppl look for fanciest Names. But if you want to get real good strains choose Cupwinning Genetics

@Growingkitten, I do, I use two 325 W CMH lamps. My area is 3 1/2 feet wide by 4 1/2 feet long. This is obviously plenty of light for me because I have light burn the tops of my tallest spears. I bought inexpensive lamps would knock off cheap bulbs. One of the bulbs went bad and I replaced it with the Phillips Bulb. Phillips Buldburns brighter and whiter . They are both 3000 K. It pays to go name brand
