Preservation of Blackberry Fire Cookie

What to do with all these vendor samples and giveaways? use them up before they go bad. I'm a bit of a sample whore when it comes to this stuff always looking for the bigger better bud maker. This grow is another unique one as I will be attempting to preserve the Strain Blackberry Fire Cookies from Purple caper seeds. I got this from the 2017 SoCal Cannabis Cup the guy gave me the last pack of these I think it was a cross they made with an existing Blackberry Fire strain and they crossed it with GSC the lineage is as follows Blackberry Kush x Fire Lady x GSC Regular seeds. I have looked on line and cannot find this particular strain anywhere I hope its worth saving "The Fire Lady is a famous Purple Caper original phenom that has a THC potency that typically does not test lower than the 25% so I anticipate a high THC percentage on BlackBerry Fire Cookies. now add GSC to the mix and I can only guess what will be. I'm hoping for at least 2 girls or more but out of 5 seeds we will see. one is all I need as I will be chemically treating the female to self pollinate S1, if I have 2 girls them a can pollenate the second one and should have feminized seeds and less chance of hermies as may be in the S1 batch. wish me luck GD. Addendum: Sprouts are in the nursery after 3 days in the wet towel hope all 5 take so I have better odds of getting a lady or two, really happy all 5 sprouted. I should have my answers in 6 weeks on the male female ratio, then the fun begins getting my co2 tanks certified and filled this week end. till next week don't share your bong or doobies stay safe. P.S. these sprouts were getting leggy so I had to pot them up an bury the stems for support I hop stumpy joe or Josephine will make it the only one to lay down from the long stretchy

Then there were 4 one did not make it, and one is looking a little beat up with nutrient burn ? they all got the same per mix dry amendment coco I'm not sure why one is more susceptible than the others? hope there are some ladies in the 4 that are left wont know until about week 4-5 of veg, hope you are all being safe and staying busy to keep yourselves sane. wash them hands and social distancing and enjoy a fatty.

Three are coming along 1 is stunted will see if it recovers. Still to early to sex, maybe another week or two. I got my fingers crossed I will get at least one female. This is there 1st liquid feeding this week. the three are pretty dark green might have too much N in the coco amendments. I started out low with the feeding as I feel there are still dry amendments in the coco I do not want to over feed. I went 1/2 strength and added a little CAL MAG with the Enzymes and Mammoth P and the Fulife and Cargo Boost. I will keep a close eye in any signs of nuite burn this week. I hope to see some sex indicators in the next week or 2. stay safe all.

Getting closer to being able to sex the plants week 5 or 6 I should have a definite answer on the 3 remaining healthy plants I can start to smell them a little I have a feeling these are gonna be pungent when they start to flower. I think they might be girls but still no preflowers got something that looks like it might be but I don't want to start my seed making process un till I am sure, and "when" I hope to get at least one lady I will clone up to my maximum of 6 plants. the Dry amendments seem to be doing there job do not let the photos fool you they are a healthy mint green. I have yet to apply the earth juice Transition one week before the flip I will add it to the feedings. hope you are all staying safe till next week. take one to the dome and stay at home.

Well the end of week 5 start of week 6 day 42 from seed I got some early signs of Pre Flower I want to say they are all girls ?!?!?! no hairs yet I'm hoping this week to see some, I took 3 clones also, one from each of the 3 remaining plants. once I get the high sign "no pun intended" hairs that is, I will start to chemically treat the best looking MILF. (Mother I'd Like to fertilize) I hope they are all girls like I said before this way I can get some genetic diversity instead of self pollinating the same MILF. On the observation side of things these plants have taken off in the last week they are all about even at 18" and the Fan leaf's are about 10'' across. The feeding seems to be spot on with no burn from the dry nuites mixed in to the coco. I gave just plain water today ON THE 25TH. I am feeling the Biologicals on this grow, The Mammoth P and the Enzymes are really doing a nice job of making the food available to the plants also the Fulife and Cargo Boost are really impressing me as well. This is why I love trying new things on my grows to help me become a more complete grower and really understanding the biology of the plant. It has been Hot these last few days in the 90's I think the C02 has been helping the plant deal with the high temps no sign of heat stress they are drinking a lot more lately respectively. that's it for this week hope the clones take and wish me luck on the MILF's. Flip the script to 12/12 waiting on a small tent via amazon to put my MILF in so I do not contaminate the other ladies, clones are hanging in there hope they will be ready to go into flower at 21 days. I just potted up to a 5 gallon fabric pot. They were drinking so much they were dry in 1 1/2 days. gave them a mild feeding and a good watering did not want to give to much trans nuites this week as I just lolly popped and potted up on the same day they look healthy enough to take it but I did not want to over whelm them with the food. so the plan moving forward it to start spraying MILF A in her own tent while the others flower in the big tent then the clones will move in to the tent and flower for 3 weeks all the while spraying MILF A 2 times a day with the CS the hope is by off setting the clones and the mothers by a week the MILF at 4 weeks while have Feminized Polled sacs that will be ready to sprinkle on the clones the other to mothers will flower to completion be chopped and dried and the clones will go until the seeds are mature with in an extra week or two. Super Hot in the tent this week 90-97 the plants have been hanging in there thanks to the CO2 blasts. They are drinking a lot from the heat, LST all 3 to even out the canopy before the stretch of flowering. Week one is done the start of week 2 seeing hairs finally and have been spraying MILF A twice a day with the CS. I transplanted the clones as well, the roots were filling up the solo cups. I up potted to 3 gallon fabric pots and straight into flower. should get some colas to dust with Feminized pollen in a few more weeks. Im so Freaking Happy that they were all girls I got the hairs to prove it😅 UPDATE: 5/12/30 I'm happy to report the CS is doing its job. I am seeing well defined Sacs in the one branch I am spraying 2 times a day for 13 days I have read that it can take up to 2 weeks so this is right on target. Clones are recovering well I top dressed all the plants with the Sea blast Bloom in the Nutrient list up top all the others were put in to a 5 gallon bucket of water PH to 5.8 and drenched the plants. that's all for now. cheers

Hello again, hope you are all well and safe, Week 8 was a good week. The ladies are showing there hairs and the CS MILF is going balls out "literally" The clones are moving along I am looking forward to seeing what comes of them I'm on the fence about how much to pollenate just get a few or leave MILF (A) in the tent and just hit everything, the clones are a week behind in flower so depending how soon the (A) MILF Pollen takes to pop I should have a two week window on the pollination... Anyway The Mom's are drinking a lot 1.5 gallons each. This weeks feeding was just water with the last of the Mammoth P and a small dose of Rock Super Charger I forgot to add this in the week one photos I got this the same time I got the Beans same Show ROCK vender free sample, I am using it as my PK booster. that and all the topdressing form last week its all about Bud and Pollen production so I will be keeping an eye on MILF A in the next 7-14 days and I hope I can Catch it before it Shoots its wad in the tent. Hello Folks, 17 days from spraying the CS on MILF A we got Lots of nanners. I have a theory that the stronger the Colloidal silver PPM the more it will affect the plant I have been told that 30 to 50 ppm is good. The stuff I have clocked in at 158 PPM with my meter the bottle said 500 ppm so either way it did its job but I only sprayed 2 nodes and 95% of the plant started growing balls. there was 1 branch that had all girl parts on it see the pic above. Today was the day I hacked her up as she started to pop in the tent and I will find out how many buds got knocked up in 2 months or so, I did do a few on purpose with a paint brush and marked then with a loose Zip tie around the branch. I have been reading that the way to tell if a bud has been pollenated that the hairs will turn brown as a first sign and then the calyx will swell with the seed. this is my first time as a "pollen chucker" I really hope these will makes feminized seeds for this strain it looks like its worth keeping around. heat and stress resistant and I am seeing minimal tip burn, they are heavy drinkers. Hello all, I hope you are all well and safe. end of week 5 and the buds are starting to get bigger Mid Flower Looks good still on the top dressing with the Sea Blast Bloom. It seems to be taking the Nuites without any burns. I used the last of the Sea blast bloom and the South Cascade Organics SLF-1002 they are both depleted on this last feeding. Gave them plenty of water over the last few days 91 in the tent the C02 has to be helping these high temps. The RH jumps after a good watering 65-75 range put on the Dehumidifier brought it back down to 50 in the tent. I hope the Dusting took now I have to wait for 4-6 more weeks for the Feminized seeds if any. They are starting to get frosty, I have been tempted to use other nuites in my line up but that would defeat the purpose of the grow. "all sample freebies" so that is what I will be sticking with the ROCK CARGO and FUL will still go to the end of the grow maybe in stronger amounts. This strain smells like SWEET BERRYS I can't explain it better that that. cheers

Week 11 end of week 5 flower I found more samples in the Nuites Cabinet and it was All Earth juice products so I Feel my moral conundrum has been solved. Although I did not use them in the beginning of the grow they are still samples I forgot about, I feel ok with this decision. They are looking and smelling strong so I feel why not let them finish big. I might have more seeds than I was expecting as I see a lot of buds with brown hairs and swollen Calex's but that's ok by me because this looks like it was worth saving. pics and movies to come just a brief update. Another week has come and gone and we are off to the races. this will be the last big feeding. I wanted to give them a PK boost in mid flower and to make sure they have enough food to last them till the end of the cycle. the beans look like they took hold I will know more in about 3 weeks. If any at all got the girl dust on them for sure. The clones are fattening up, not to be prize winning buds but good enough for a squish in the rosin press. I am seeing some signs of light burn and a little nutrient burn but nothing a good flush won't cure. They are starting to get more frosty and the smell is getting more pronounced. very complex sweet gas fruit is the best way to describe it. well that's it for now be well all and don't for get to vote.

SUCSESS! I now know for a fact that the pollen did its job. I am 2-3 weeks out from pulling the plug on the lights and giving them the axe. looks like some are starting to mature so I will let them cruse on auto pilot for the next 3 week just giving them plain water PH 6.0 this should use up the dry nuites in the coco and work as a flush as well. Some nutrient burn from the last blast feeding, but I can live with it. I think my PPM meter is out of calibration and it gave me a lower reading than what was in the feeding. I'm pretty happy my first pollen chucking experiment worked. This will be a Feminized S1 IBL " inbred line" The original female that was sprayed with the CS never got pollenated. the other 2 were by me 2 branches each, some may have popped in the tent before. I will find out how many buds got knocked up in 3 weeks. The clones will have some buds on them seedless. so that's it for now. I'm in the home stretch in reality July 17th or so should be the finish line including drying time. soooooo close.😍

Hello all. hope you are well, I started the Flush today for the last two weeks all they will get is PH 6.0 water. dechlorinated tap water I ran a bubbler for a day and a half and gave them a good dousing. The flush came out to 830 PPM at PH of 6.35 Trichomes are starting to cloud up getting some orange hairs and the fade is setting in looks like the are using up all the Nitrogen in the fan leaves. so this week and one more for good seed development and I think they can all come down the YO YOs have been very helpful as you can see in the video the nugs are heavy. talk to you soon I will have a seed collection video at the end of this run. In the immortal words of Garven Dreis "Almost there" One more week I hope, I want to see calyx bursting with beans. There has not been a lot of growth or weight this last week. looks like a medium yielder with tight sticky nugs.

Well I accomplished what i had set out to do, I have a IBL "In bread line " S1 feminized pile of seeds and a little bit of feminized pollen to chuck around and make a Frankenstein strain of my own. I really have to start my grows earlier to beat the heat in SoCal at the end it was to hot in the tent I wanted to go an extra week for the seeds to mature but I have more than enough ripe ones. this grow was more of an experiment that a controlled by the numbers operation. but I'm happy I got what I was looking for. cheers GD community Addendum so after a few weeks and more deseeding I took the 150g of popcorn buds and all the shake from the seeded buds about another 150g and made some bubble hash. I used the T check meter and this is on average 10% THCa considering the plant spent most of its energy and resources making seeds I am not surprised by its low THC level. I will hang on to the beans for now and the next round will be some AUTO's maybe at the first of the year when its cooler. total hash in grams 30g the math seems to work out on the return of 300g 10% is 30g there were 2 hash balls no pictured weighing 6g total. 25micron 73 and 120 might press the 120 and the 25 gonna save the 73 for special occasions. be safe all until next time.
