I was expecting a more explosive seedling stage from this auto flower but we had a few very hot and humid days that spiked my grow tents temperatures, I suspect that combined with a Ph spike caused the spots on the leaves.
Slow progress in week 2, but the spots on the first leaves have not appeared on the latest leaves. I have not changed anything, but there have been no temperature spikes this week.
I've topped her quite early, would like to stretch her canopy out to fill out this 1.2m x 1.2m grow tent, I doubt she'll fill it but let's see how close I get.
I've started with her LST by tying her down and opening up her canopy. My goal is to keep her as flat as possible, without stunting her growth, until the flower stretch kicks in.
I knew she would be female, but there is definitely a special kind excitement in seeing those first pistils appear. This lady's growth rate is speeding up now.
This week she really become thirsty and hungry, she is drinking 5 litres a day and ppm is dropping. Topping up the resorvoir daily with higher ppm to try counter the ppm drop. I've turned up all the lights to max, so total draw from the wall is 312W, factoring in driver loss, the lights must be push out just under 300W total.
This girl has now kicked into hyperdrive, I trimmed so much away at the beginning of this week and she is ready for another. I've been struggling to keep the PPM over 800. I top her up daily with 5l of higher ppm.
This is my second grow so I still get really nervous when I defoliate, the results definitely speak for themselves. She bounces back harder each time after I defoliate her. I'm in awe of this plant. Thank you for the amazing genetics Barney's Farm!
This lady is starting to look good with her pistils pushing out, she is slowing starting to put in her smell too, soft scents of lemon and pineapple.
I started adding a Ripener to my daily reservoir to pup's.
This sweet tooth is starting to look gorgeous. The scent is getting stronger by the day. She looks like she will go way past the average 80 days from seed to harvest.
This week she decided she's had enough nutrients and she's ready for a flush, the week started at 850ppm and started climbing so I started to reduced it down to 350ppm. She is really starting to smell amazing.
She has put on so much weight this week, I really regret not setting something up to support her branches. All learn experiences I guess. I honestly didn't think her coverage to get this big. She is covering about 1 square meter in my 1.2m x 1.2m tent.
This lady is being harvested this week, I think she may have been able to go a little longer but I was not prepared for the drooping branches from the weight of the buds. The seed popped open on 10 January 2020 and harvested on 13 April 2020. 94 days from seed to harvest.
This beauty was a pleasure to grow. It feels like I defoliated her almost every week and ever time she'd bounce back almost instantly. Next time I pop a sweet tooth seed I'll reduce the number of colas and keep the lower branches clean, I'm sure the lower popcorn buds hurt the size of my main colas, but overall I'm rather impressed with the final yeild.
