April 23 - Day 64 - Plants seem very healthy. Due to my setup I am finding it a bit warm for them, but at 18 inch height, even with a 6 inch fan blowing air past the bulb and out, the tent holds heat pretty good. Still 24 really isnt that bad. April 27 - Have done a VERY LIGHT defoilation at Day 20 of flowering start, in an attempt to show every flower some light and keep everything else, allowing them to fatten up.

How do you deal with a genetically bushy strain, especially if you plan to ScrOG? Do you knuckle up all nodes but the tips, then LST? Or let him grow and give him time? (My OG Kush needs some advice)
Solved
Leaves. Too many
Plant. Spaces between nodes
Setup. Strains - Photoperiod

Ok you have been starting very well on your Girls training looks good. You just have to go on with them. And yes choosing the right genetics is a big point in scrogging. I failed with my choice . I had misty gorilla and it was quite impossible to mainline them. The branches were so sturdy and the leaves so robust. I gave up on them. ! plant was aC-99... and she was great to this job. I ended in giving up and let them grow like they wanted to^^.( diary: See-99 Gorillas in the Mist) In your case its a good start, you may perform it a little longer and go on training, and defoilating them. And in my opinion your scrognet is suboptimal. To big holes in it... look for scrog that has 6-cm holes, but alltoghether girls look fine just keepon training

(Check diary for more details) Thinking calcium deficiency, also maybe magnesium deficiency on a few low yellowed leaves. Thinking it could be nutrient lockout? Feeding them 6.25 pH always. Gonna try 7.0 once and 6.5 for awhile. Thoughts anyone? Im still fairly new and learning

Looks like calcium to me as well.. I've had similar when i used tap-water in the past, but it hasn't appeared anymore since i've been using RO water with added calmag. I suggest reading through this guide here: https://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Fertilizing-Smart-Guide This has helped me in the past quite a lot in regards to how much i need to feed and at what levels.

Hi, to answer your Questions, Airflow is very important for the Plant. https://www.growweedeasy.com/exhaust#air-circulation and i think for defoilation you are a bit late. but i would take away some leaves .Those plants growing very dense and bushy so you have high Risk onMold, powedery midlew etc...… So ist better to stress alittle than having rotting buds

Just keep on trainig, you have made a good start. Preparations to a scrog take me 8-10 weeks.....but this effort is paying out

@Mrs_Larimar, True, it may just need some time. Apparently the net has 4 inch holes and are "adjustable" somehow but the screen can slide up and down, so each day I just lift screen, move pots to a position that a lot of the string is used, bring screen back down. Definately not ideal but may later need it for flowering stage at a higher height for stability.

If your ph looks ok, then I'd do an image search for cannabis septoria and compare it to your plant; it looks like its possibly that in the early stage, which is easy to be rid of if caught early.
