Well, I thought it would be interesting to make a comparison between growing in coco and in soil. The plant you can see in the top of the pictures is in coco and one week ahead of time.

No nuts so far, just plain tap water. I'm impressed by how big the first two leaves got compared to its sister that is growing in coco.

Signs of nut burn appeared this week. After only watering with plain tap water for the first two weeks the runoff got up to 2.08 EC. This underlines the importance of watering with lots of water when growing in soil, so all the excess nuts run out.

The organic girl got transplanted in 7l pot with all-mix biobizz soil at the beginning of the week. The first watering after that was a week later. The EC of the run-off was on 2.53 as you can see in the picture, so I flushed it with ph(6.5) water mixed with the nuts I mention above(EC 0.32). I flushed until the EC got down to 1.3. I don't want it to get burned again cuz of the high EC in the soil. As of today, day 29, the newly adolescent plant is looking perky again. As far as I can read on the Biobizz bottles, all the nuts have a very acidic ph. That makes sense considering that they are organic and they need to have a long shelf life. No bacteria or fungus will go in such an acidic medium. Therefore I find it essential to increase the ph of the water after adding the nuts. Another thing I noticed is that they now released a CalMag product(finally), which they recommend using especially when using RO water.

My baby and I are reconsidering the path of our relationship. I made some mistakes that slowed her development. To be more precise, I placed the pot directly in the run-off water tray of her sisters. I couldn't get it why she was showing signs of overwatering until I made the connection: - She was sucking on the runoff water. So... that fucked things up a bit. It resulted in slow growth and eventually Nitrogen deficiency. I basically didn't feed her anything this week(not on purpose at least). I transplanted her in an 18l pot today, and I'm considering taking her out in the greenhouse in 4-5 days when I'm going to flip the other ladies to 12/12. I really like her genes so far, so easy to play with! <3 👆 So the thought is that she would get about 10 weeks to mature into a fine lady in the greenhouse until the coco ladies will be finished, then I will move her in and bloom her. What do you think about that idea?

My baby is turning into a lady. She really loved getting a larger pot. As I plan to veg her for about 8-9 weeks more, I imagine she will eventually end up in a 30L pot. Not much more to say, she seems to enjoy life in the green house so far.

The SQ lady is doing great, growing nice and steady. The inner shoots started developing as well as the top 4 'main' shoots. I just received the new CalMag Biobizz has released. I will start using it with the next feeding.

This week went pretty well! I increased the nuts a bit and did some LST. She looks a bit droopy, I believe it's because of the temp. difference between day/night. It still gets quite cold at night, I wish it didn't! I any case, she's definitely getting large, and she still has 5 more weeks to go in veg!

All looks good here. I did a bit of more LST training on her. She's growing about one knot per week. I'm going to increase the BioGrow again this week, probably to 2,5 ml/l, as she is getting a bit yellow on the fan leaves. Can't wait to get some more sun and see how she will take it!

Very nice growth this week, the weather is starting to get better and she loves it! I believe she will get as large as I want her to get in the next 3-4 weeks, so she can fill up all my tent.

She just looks great, really enjoying the sunny days! I think in one week from now I will transplant her for the last time, in a 30l pot, then one more week in the greenhouse before moving her in the tent. She's getting fed 5-7l nutrient solution every 3-5 days depending on the weather. I took off a few of the lower leaves as they were getting yellow.

It's been a big week for my lady! She got more space for the roots :D The lower fan leaves were getting yellow faster than I would have liked them so that meant transplant time has come! I was also suspecting salt build-up at the roots, but the last run-off I checked was on 1.5 EC which is the same as what I was feeding her. Anyways, I flushed her just in case(as suggested by Mrs_Larimar) with 30l tap water, and gave her a 10l feed right after transplant. There was no mark about the size of the pot, but I finished a 50l All-mix soil bag on her, so... I would say she's in a 45l pot right now.

She's doing great, she loves the new soil. Fed her 10l water with nuts EC 1.4. One more week in the greenhouse then she goes to the tent. I started spraying her with a neem oil solution(recipe ala Mrs_Larimar) to avoid bringing in too many bugs.

She's getting really big now, two more days and I move her to the tent. She also started stretching a bit, so I feel I have to get her flowering before things get out of control. I pumped up the grow nuts to accommodate with her size. I just realized that the door to my greenhouse is rather narrow, so I hope she will fit! :D

It's been exactly one week of bloom and she's looking amazing! I did a little bit of defoliation to put the bud sites in the spotlight :D I'm still feeding her 10l every 3rd day. I increased the bloom nuts a bit though. I have to say I've been already learning so much on my journey with her. Next year I will definitely repeat this experience: veg in the greenhouse in spring/summer time and then bloom in the tent. I'm grateful for all of you that stop by and show your support by writing a comment, giving a Like or a piece of advice, I love this community! 🙏 Good luck with your growing journeys!

This week has all been about the buds! They are getting heavy and I had to tie up some of the branches for support. Four weeks into bloom is always a big milestone for me. If I reached this point without killing my girls I can take a deep breath and be confident we can make it all the way. She's starting to get yellowing autumn leaves, even though in theory there are still a few more weeks to go. Somehow this process seems to begin much earlier in soil than in hydro. So I get a bit worried that she has a nitrogen deficiency, but the tips of the leaves are also a bit burned(a sign of overfeeding)... so I think I'll keep giving her the same amount of nuts and maybe a little flush? I'm not all sure yet. Oh, yeah... I've been having a bit of a hard time keeping the temps low during lights on, you can see it on the leaves, the edges are pointing up. I'm having lights on at night, so I mounted a long ventilation tube from the grow tent to my living room, this way I'm warming up my house at night and at the same time removing the heat from the grow room and pulling cold air from outside.

This week I realized that I actually never fed her with runoff since I started flowering her, which is something I usually recommend others to do! 😂 So I gave her 10l plain RO water at lights off, and then at lights on 10 more liters with nuts. There came about 5l of runoff with an EC very close to 5, very high. Two days after she started giving a wonderful strong smell and the buds seem to be swelling. So at the next watering, I prepared 20l(EC 1,8), and gave her that all at once. You can see the video. This time there came 8l runoff with EC 5.31. I think I will repeat this 20l again next time to be sure she doesn't get root lock. I'm impressed by her, it looks like she will end up making some really nice big buds if she keeps going this way for 3 more weeks :D

This has been the "Falling buds" week. They are getting heavy. I reduced the nuts again, now it is at EC 1.5 I flushed her once more with 20l(EC 1.5), with runoff at EC over 5. Then next feed she first got 10l plain RO water, then 12h later 10l more with EC 1.55. Max 2 more weeks for this lady I imagine.

Happy Harvest Day!

Such a beautiful strain, I fell in love with it from the first weeks. She had large symmetrical leaves, with flexible branches, ideal for LST. She made dense, heavy buds. The smell/taste is hard to describe, my best guess is a mix of sweet, sour, and flowery. It's like trying to describe oregano, you can call it herbal, but it's not basil or rosemary, even though they are also herbal. It's definitely delicious, that's what I'm aiming at :D The high is pleasant, definitely an Indica dominant, and very high THC. Great for night time. I'm very happy with the yield, I believe she could have given even more if she had more soil and 1-2 more weeks of veg. so she could fill up the tent even more.

I believe this was my best Grow so far. She taught me so much! It was not planned that she would get so large. I wanted to grow her side by side with her sister that was in coco. But because I made the mistake of placing her directly on the main run-off tray, she got overwatered and showed slow growth for about two weeks. Then in the meantime, I run out of tent space, hence I decided to move her in the greenhouse. It was lucky I had that possibility, it was ideal that we were in April at that time. She went into bloom a bit right after I moved her out as the light hours were shorter then what she was used to, but she soon jumped back into veg. The LST process was like making an artwork, a Landart piece. It was very enjoyable to work with her, as she was so flexible. I did break two of the lower branches though, I hope I can learn from that, even though I have a hard time believing I could have avoided it. The pot she ended up in is a 40l pot I found out. She got 50l of soil though. Next time I will go for something like 80-100l, as I got tired of having to water her every 2nd day for the last 3-4 weeks. I think I used at least 10h on trimming her, which was something to be expected considering her size. I use a dehumidifier, and it usually takes a week to dry. She took a looong time to dry, over two weeks, I guess it's because the branches were long and the bud were very dense. Thank you everyone for watching and for all the help I got during this journey. Special thanks Mrs_Larimar for your support! 🙏

@Mrs_Larimar, It’s a good joke though 😉 It’s one of my dreams to move south, either Spain or Portugal. My friends from England wanna start a community, most probably in Spain, he’s a teacher and she’s a midwife. For me the hardest part is moving away from a place where I grew deep roots, I have a 4 year old daughter, my girlfriend and her kids, lots of friends... oh man, if I could take them all along! If possible one day I will split my life in two... somehow 😄 Good day to you too!

@Mrs_Larimar, I suppose I should get an airpot for the next transplant. I just had a better look at it. The roots are already shooting out of the new pot 👍impressive! And the new fan leaf started getting dark green around the edges... as I was expecting, this soil is packed with worm casting, I hope it won’t burn it again... I’m glad I flushed the soil a bit before the transplant.

Green_Dreamcommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks! I don’t really have a constant schedule at the moment, it’s every 2-3rd day, I lift the pot and feel its weight, if I consider that it’s light enough I feed. I kept the nuts low(0,65EC) cuz it got a bit burned. I just transplanted it in an 11l pot(All-mix soil from BioBizz) at the beginning of the week and it slowed it down a lot, so now I’m basically waiting for it to jump back... 🤔 I feel the process is quite slow in soil... have to wait for it to dry and watch for signs on the plant... Anyway, next time I definitely will start in at least 11l pot, like I would with an auto, spare myself and the plant the hustle of transplanting.

Nice diarie. How often do you use "Top Max". For what is it good ?

Beautifuk Girl she will love it to have fresh soil....I would recommend an intermitting flush to freshen her up... flushing some sediments, to free the roots. and then a wonderful feeding after that in fresh soil , iam sure she will explode
