Primer cultivo en Barcelona

jaleo This has been my first self-cultivation in Barcelona, 4 automatic OG KUSH plants, two of which I germinated in germination pots and the other two directly in their final pots, where they completed their entire life cycle. I did this cultivation in the middle of summer, it was a challenge. Although with the help of a humidifier, air conditioning, two fans, and the open cabinet, I achieved an excellent result. Keep in mind that I slept in the same room with the plants and with the cabinet open (I needed a sleep mask to sleep for two months) it was like sleeping with the sun inside a small room, it was worth it. I managed to maintain the humidity/temperature ratio most of the time (to my liking).

jaleo I watered the plants every 2 to 4 days (just with a little rooting agent), depending on the weight of each pot, I gave a certain amount of water (no more than 200ml). Every day I turned the pot a quarter turn so it would receive light evenly. That's why I named these 4 girls with a label, to keep track of the movements. At this point, I still hadn't bought the sleep mask. I thought about playing them music; it relaxed the environment for both me and them. More for them than for me. Sleeping with 250w of light isn't easy.

jaleo I started giving them a little more water while adjusting the pH a bit. The plants look quite healthy. They show no signs of lacking any nutrients. With the "sun" in my face but with a lot of love. The plants' playlist keeps going. Everything is going well.

jaleo They're already asking for more water, so I'm giving them a special NPK from Topcrop for autoflowering plants. It seems to be working well for them; I give them nutrients every two waterings to avoid over-fertilization. You can physically see the change when I water them; it seems to put them in a better mood. They eat better than I do and have a more balanced diet. One of the branches broke, so I made a little "cast" to support the plant. A few days later, I took it off, and it continued to grow normally. Although it's likely that it got a bit stressed.

jaleo The flowering stage has started, and all the plants have their first pistils; it doesn't smell very strong yet.

jaleo The plants have grown quite a bit and are developing well, I increased the nutrient dosage a bit and raised the pH value. The temperature is holding at 25 and the humidity has dropped. The smell is becoming more noticeable but it's not overwhelming, you can barely perceive it inside the room. The light is already penetrating the mask.

jaleo Almost half of the pistils are now brown, which indicates that harvest time is approaching. I've stopped giving them fertilizers so they don't pick up the taste of those nutrients. Now, with the higher pH waterings, I'm doing a sort of root cleaning. I don't think it's necessary to use large amounts of water to clean them; I haven't used much fertilizer during their life cycle. I want the buds to taste good, but I also don't want to ruin the roots by rotting them with excess water.

jaleo I overcame the summer challenge, despite the 20 hours of light in my room, it was worth it. I managed to change/regulate the temperature and humidity throughout their entire life cycle. It was interesting to figure out how to maintain the right climate despite that overwhelming summer heat. Sleeping next to the plants was an intimate and therapeutic experience that taught me a lot. I had the opportunity to study their growth and see how to solve each problem that arose. I am satisfied with my result; each plant gave me a considerable amount despite being autoflowering and having a short life cycle of two months.
