OBJECTIVE
-Created 17 gallon DWC container
-Added 6 clones of big boy into system
-Added fan in grow tent
-Added small humidifier
SUBJECTIVE
N/A
CONVERSATION
- WoooooooOOOT, first successful clone transfer, this process was streamlined compared to starting with seed, which we need to work on perfecting still. These are all clones from our plant big boy from our last grow. New names will be G,H,I,Lil J,K,Lupe. We will let the community name G,H,I,K. Since we're starting pretty early into flower with our other grow were hoping these plants will be big enough to have a short veg in the big system, cutting down on the overall length until flower.
Blurples suck for pictures *cough*
OBJECTIVE
-Added wire tie downs on one plant
-Maintained pH
-Topped all plants once
SUBJECTIVE
N/A
CONVERSATION
-Some leaves are getting a weird twisty/crispy trait at the end of them, not sure why. We have some nutrient burn. Overall plants are growing good. These clones have to grow slower in veg because we still have a ways to go for our other grow in flower, Hence why we tied down two of the lengthier shoots on one plant to try and spread them out early. We ordered 4x lm301h 4000k 240w quantum boards by king bright. Graduating from blurples finally. Hopefully this spectrum will keep the plants smaller. The current blurple we have we don't know much about it, it was someone elses, so far its only been reliable for veg (and taking bad pics)
OBJECTIVE
-Removed Blurple
-Added 4000k KingBrite 240w
-Tied down branches
-Maintained pH
-Exchanged water and increased ppm

CONVERSATION
-Finally part of the quantum board club, have to say this light is pretty bright and we don't even have it at full brightness. We lowered the light and decreased the intensity to get at least 15k lumens minimum on each plant to conserve board life and use less electricity. So far, pretty happy with the purchase, we have to make our frame for the other 3 lights still. Tying down the plants were a little complicated for the cramped space, they're growing way to fast for us currently, hopefully we can keep tying them down for the next month. We'll see. Added a rosemary to the grow (from grandma<3), she heard me complain about not being able to find fresh herbs for cooking and gifted that to me, can't wait to see it grow.
OBJECTIVE
-Changed to 27 Gallon reservoir
-Exchanged nutrients (same ratios)
-Topped
SUBJECTIVE
-Bonsai'ing
CONVERSATION
-Once again the plants are growing too well, said no one ever. Tying down the plants has lead to thick branch development with some knuckles already. Were handling the growth well but we might run out of space horizontally.
The plants got too big and over shadowed the rosemary within in a week ):
At this rate, we think were going to have a like a 2 veg in the main system until we flip.
OBJECTIVE
-maintained same nutrient ratio and pH as in previous post
-removed wiring used to tie down branches
SUBJECTIVE
-plants continue to show healthy growth
CONVERSATION
-we need to keep these plants in this container until we harvest the crop that is currently in our larger setup, and this is quickly becoming difficult to do because these plants are getting too large for this container. We want to tie down branches more, but they're large enough at this point where that is also becoming a challenge. Thinking of possibly setting up a small temporary scrog so we can push branches out more horizontally instead of vertically... we'll see if we can build that with what's in the house. Overall, they look nice and healthy
OBJECTIVE
-Same Nutrients/pH as last week
SUBJECTIVE
-Raised the light a couple inches~
-adjusted light intensity
CONVERSATION
-Growth is coming great this week. Getting very big fan leaves.
Were going to be more aggressive taking off small branches because we learned they usually don't make it in flower anyways, We would rather have a smaller amount of large branches then a lot of smaller ones.
OBJECTIVE
-haven't altered the nute solution since before previous post
-moved light up several inches to account for added plant height
SUBJECTIVE
-plants look ok, but you can tell we need to replace/ add to nute solution - they looks a little dry
CONVERSATION
-still just a waiting game - we have to harvest a different crop before we put these into the main system, so we really don't want these to get too large just yet. Hopefully in about a week?
OBJECTIVE
-Same pH and nutrient ratios
SUBJECTIVE
-Removed bad leaves
CONVERSATION
-Welp, being so busy this week, forgot to add more water to the reservoir, noob mistake, were embarrassed. By next week well be putting these into the big system because we are harvesting our other diary tomorrow.
Sorry for the not so good looking plants this week ):
OBJECTIVE
-Moved plants into bucket system
-Installed new quantum board lamp
-Installed scrog net around plants
-Same Nutes/pH
-Added Box fan in front of grow
SUBJECTIVE
-Light distance from plants
- 20k ish lumens across the scrog (more in the center)
CONVERSATION
-Probably giving these these clones 2-3 weeks to fill out the scrog , we wanted a little break between our next flower but it is what it is. No more HPS/MH for us, hoping to dramatically cut down our veg cost while increasing our flower yield.
From our last grow with this strain we learned a lot so were hoping to push a higher yield with this one. Had a lot of under developed buds so were hoping to defoliate better and be more aggressive with cutting off smaller branches.
We have been pretty mean with these clones, forgetting to add water and cutting the roots apart to put them into the buckets, hopefully nothing will come of it.
OBJECTIVE
Maintained pH/ Nute ratio
SUBJECTIVE
-Removed the "smaller" branches (ones we think weren't going to reach above the net even with stretch)
CONVERSATION
-So far all these clones have stronger but fewer branches, well be putting these into flower this week, get to show off the new lamp (:
OBJECTIVE
-Added Replaced veg light with KingBrite 240w 3000k w/ Cree x 6
-Moved Fan back
-Switched to flower nutrient ratios
SUBJECTIVE
-Cutting smaller branches off
CONVERSATION
-Entered flower this week, putting up our new lamp was a pain, its somewhat heavy.
-The lamp at full power uses 1440w
-These plants look more Ideal in terms of branches compared to our last grow, we think we over topped them, giving them too many branches in thus we lowered the bud size
OBJECTIVE
-Added two fans to circulate
-Added hose to dehumidifier for continuous action
-Sprayed 1 application of neem
SUBJECTIVE
-Lifted the light and tried to maintain a 60k lumens at the highest parts, 50k at lower parts in middle, and 40k at the edges (which is our best light reading on edge)
-Religious pruning due to explosive growth
CONVERSATION
-Found some mildew on some our plants, sprayed a neem application, we will probably do this every 3 days until bud formation starts to happen, its something we didnt want to do but where we live currently, the humidity is peaking and causing problems.
This new lamp is crazy bright, after raising it and getting 40k lumens on the edges, we were impressed.
OBJECTIVE
-Added second layer scrog
-Same nutrient/pH goal
-2 applications of neem 3 days apart
SUBJECTIVE
-Raised light a couple inches
-Defoliated heavily
CONVERSATION
-This clone run is stretching a lot more than are previous one, I wasn't even able to get a picture from the back because of how tall they are.
The space between the top of the bucket and second scrog is 18 inches and the space between the light from the top of second scrog is 20 inches, some branches are obviously passed that.
The humidity has been fluctuating from 40-60%, it's usually the lowest when the lights are off. It's interesting how much it fluctuates even though we consistently have the dehumidifier running.
So far, we pretty much have to defoliate every couple days because it becomes a jungle.
OBJECTIVE
-Increased nutes to 1300
SUBJECTIVE
-Adding ~5 gallons every 12 hours
CONVERSATION
-Pretty tame this week, the nectar/sugar smell is coming back, it smells great. Were on the part of flower where we have to add 5 gallons twice a day, If I remember correctly, this will stop after about ~2 weeks
The canopy is as good looking this time around
Getting pictures for this grow is pretty difficult, the plants are taller than me.
OBJECTIVE
-1 Neem application
SUBJECTIVE
-Pumping in fresh air from outside daily ish
-Adding ~5 gallons daily
CONVERSATION
-buds are fattening up big time
Were just bought a new product to deal with our mildew problem, we wont be using neem anymore but we had to do something to control it a little bit, will probably get it this week and apply it then.
Weve been pumping in fresh air to supply CO2, and to kind of help with the mildew problem, The mildew isnt intense, were removing when we can but its still a hassle to try and stay as clean as possible
We think stretch is complete, weve barely seen any growth this week
OBJECTIVE
-3 Applications of plant therapy
SUBJECTIVE
-Add ~5 gallons of water daily
-White mildew leave removal
CONVERSATION
- Pistils are turning orange big time and we still have 6 weeks until harvest, the buds are pretty good size at the moment, hoping they'll get better of course. Thoughts on lower yield this time around because we think we picked the smallest bud pheno on our last crop, but that could be because we topped it more, so we will see.
Started using plant therapy for mildew, still struggling with it, but were on top of it every day.
OBJECTIVE
-Fresh nute bath exchange
-2 plant therapy applications
SUBJECTIVE
-Adding 5 ish gallons of water a day
CONVERSATION
-So the plants are maturing very oddly, we don't know whats going on. The buds are turning purple, the leaves slowly dying, amber trichomes, new pistil growth, all while still fattening.
In other news, all the buds are a decent size, even under the canopy, it looks like we have zero fluff currently.
We have a a theory with the quantum boards that the plants are maturing a lot faster because of the spectrum and the amount of light we are able to provide. Can't seem to find anything about it online.
OBJECTIVE
-Replaced water reservoir with fresh nutes, same everything
-Two plant therapy applications
SUBJECTIVE
-N/A
CONVERSATION
-Some trichomes are starting to turn amber, we will be harvesting on friday this up coming week, my partner has a goal of 4lbs, I'm going a little lower with 3.5lbs, but honestly anything above 3 would be fine with me.
We would have had a higher yield, but we went on vacation and one plant went wonky on us in 2 days ): , averaging out the yield from every other plant we should have ended up some where around 3.3lbs
This time around, while in the buckets the bud has a berry smell to it. Smells a lot better than the last batch. (in our opinion
The quantum boards proved their effectiveness, barely any fluff across the entire scrog.
Putting this strain in the books, won't be growing it again for a while (or ever), Can't say I wont miss it though.
