Here we have Royal Cookies by Royal Queen Seeds and critical by Zamneasia. First time growing so I'm not expecting everything to be perfect, any help/feedback with anything would be very much appreciated!
Growing in Coco, started the seedlings in their final pot to avoid stress with transplanting, I just want to keep things simple first time around, then change things on my next grow. I will be Using genesis Formula Coco A+B. Gave them just water for about the first 10-12 days but now I'm feeding everyday.
Day 1 - The seeds germinated and they both popped up on the same day
Day 5 - They're looking good , stopped me worrying about them so much.. this was the day I moved the light closer to the seedling
Day 8 inside the tent.. things looking good was having minor issues with humidity, it's sorted now but I think it may be a little low still
Day 12 - both plants starting to take shape now started with half strength nutes
This is the week I really started to notice the plants changing and getting bigger day by day. The leaves on the Royal Cookies started to curl a bit, I raised the light to around 20-24 inches away, i think it's starting to look abit better now. Still not feeding full strength nutes, they are about 3/4 strength at the moment.
Finally caught up! Been meaning to start my grow diary from the day I got the seeds in my hands, but didn't get round to it. I've finally had to chance to sit down and sort it out 😁. thanks to anyone who takes the time to have a look. If you think I'm doing something wrong or have any tips for me please let me know!
The Royal Cookies is looking alot heathier now. Waiting for a couple more nodes to come through and I will be giving them their first topping
Popeye 💪
This week I started the lst on the girls, at first I wasn't really sure what to tie down and where to tie it but after a few days watching them progress, it was clear to see what I needed to do and also why I was doing it.
The plants really took off after starting the training, within 5 days the critical almost filled the pot. The Royal cookies is still growing tall, but is now starting to show more growth from the lower nodes every day.
The day after boxing day the ladies had their first topping! I was nervous not to mess anything up but one clean cut with a brand new pair of scissors and it was done, I've lowered their nutrients for the next couple of days while they recover.
2 days after their topping the ladies are looking good. I noticed a tiny bit of brown on the edge of a leaf a day or 2 before, I thought I had got nutrients on it while watering but it has worsened, I took it out of the tent to have a look in the natural light, the leaf is looking like it's yellowing a bit, so tommorow I will be adding some cal-mag to the mix to hopefully clear it up.
Just been looking through my diary and noticed I've messed up with the days and weeks 😂 so I've started from day 49. I am thinking these ladies are ready for flowering now, I want to make sure all my conditions are spot on before I make the flip. I made a quick support net today aswell, I've bent some stems to go through the net in different directions to create a nice even canopy, after a few days of the plants getting used to the way I want them to grow and it will be time to go flower mode! 👌
The ladies went into flowering on day 60🌺
I was thinking about giving them a 24 hour dark period but I just went straight for the flip. They have been so easy to veg only had a little problem here and there so fingers crossed flowering is no different.
The LED light now has both grow & bloom switches on to give the ladies the full spectrum of the light.💡
I am trying to manipulate the plants through the net to make more of an even canopy, also to try and stop them from growing too tall as I am running out of space 🙈
Thankyou for taking the time to read my diary. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated, still got so much to learn 👌
Been a while since I've updated my diary! ! Unfortunately the plants had to be moved to a different location so I don't get to spend as much time with them as I'd like at the moment. I tried to make the move as less stressful for them as possible, they took a couple of days to bounce back but fortunately, no major problems! I should have made another net after the move but I didn't get round to it. I think with a net I would of managed the stretch better and got a better canopy. They are thriving though and I'm so happy everytime I see them. They smell absolutely beautiful too!.. I only have a few weeks left before I have to take my tent down I'm trying to push the date back so I don't have to flush early but we will see!
Thanks!
I'm thinking heat stress from the light being too close, they're looking abit better since I've raised the light so, fingers crossed.
Yeah sorry about the LED pics! I was meant to start my diary on day one but I never got round to it, so these are the only pics I have up untill now.
I hope mine do too 👀 I just hope I can reach the harvest with both plants intact 😂
@PigBearMan, yeah that's what I've been reading, people say they lack THC content and also flavour, and alot of people also say that's not true as autos are getting better and better. I have seen 1 guy get his flower tested and it was hitting 25/26% which is great but for me flavour is the most important thing 💪 so I think I need to smoke some autoflower and make my decision lol
@Popeye,
For me and every grower I know in real life Autos are only for growing outdoor or if you don't have any experiences in growing. I know some dudes who grew Autos for the first time. Think Big, Auto Gorilla Glue, Auto Ultimate... No strain really tasted great. You always taste the fuggin' Ruderalis...But they yield pretty okay. 😅
I mean...24/0? Serious? I could grow you some Haze with that energy...😆
Hope you enjoy your grow tho. 😊
I might add that many people, like myself, grow Auto's due to a lack of space and wanting to utilize a closet. They don't grow as tall or stretch as much as a photos. This allows for me to maximize my harvest utilizing a small amount of space. Check out my week 2 video of the closet setup if interested.
@Zannabis7, just checked the video! What a set up man! 👌 My tent is only 1x1m so space is an issue for me too. I have only used a vaporizer once, It was the storz and bickel mighty. I tried stardawg on it and it tasted better than any joint I've ever smoked!
I hear you. The benefit of autos is they produce fast as you can give them light 24/0 and they will still flower. Often done in 8 weeks with this lighting schedule. Best wishes.
I burn everything I grow in a quality vaporizer and to me, the taste is great. While I certainly wouldn't say it tastes as good as SOME photos, I find the taste to be exceptional through a vaporizer set to the right temperature.

Looking good so far. Whats with the leafs? Wind damage? Or heat stress? Whats your RH? 60% would be perfect in this phase.
BTW, could you take pics without LED light? Would help us to give you tips. :)
I hope my eyes pop out when you harvest and take pics. 😜
Stay green.
@diamondtrichomes, really good so far! I've added cal-mag to my solution and I'm seeing no other signs of a deficiency anywhere else on the plants. Their topping went great too it's been around 5 days, their new growths are getting bigger everyday and looking healthy 👌
Hello,
When you grow automatic strains on a small scale you will find that your percentage of Ruderalis phenotypeS with low terpenes and low thc ARE too great compare to the good one...
Sadly this is the give and take deal for flowering cannabis without light reduction...
If your THC tolerance is low great, but if not.... you will cringe thinking what you could have grown with 2 more weeks only...😭
