2020-03-22 (day 3): Starting her off on a windowsill by day, under grow light by night. She’ll be indoors for roughly 2 months, I’ll take some cuts and I’ll put her outdoors at the start of June, she should have like 4 months of veg, roughly 2-2.5 months flowering time. Not yet sure if I’ll put her in big pots or directly in the ground yet.

2020-03-29 (Day 10) Stretched a bit, 24 hrs of light is required as my basement is too cool for these little seedlings and I’m using a 100w cfl to supply heat. Light being used is a Chinese “1000w” LED. Once my other plants are done drying I will be putting these in my 2.5*2.5 grow room under 18/6.

2020-04-05 (Day 17) Moved her into my 2.5’*2.5’ grow room and now she’s reached her new temporary home in my 4*8 grow tent along with my other outdoor strains and some tomato seedlings. I will top and clip some clones and most likely do an outdoor mainline. This will be my second attempt at mainlining and first outdoors. I don’t need the massive trees I had last year, and I think I can maximize my yield and keep my plants a little shorter. May end up doing 1 monster but we’ll see. I introduced nutes this week and all the girls took them like champs! I'm now running my 2 600W Meizhi LED lights in my 4*4 space for all my girls. Stay tuned!

2020-04-15 (Day 28) Unsure how but I’ll admit it I must have overwatered the girls. I find it weird because I’ve started them in solo cups before and used the same medium (promix hp), same drainage holes in the bottom and sides and same watering practices. I guess this time the medium retained too much water and didn’t fully dry out. It had to be my practices that caused the fuck up as all my other strains from various breeders suffered to various degrees. Delayed growth for about a week and lost the first set of true leaves, but they appear to be bouncing back. I repotted into 2 gal buckets. Very shitty mistake but I’ll admit I made it. These girls are going to bounce back and I just can’t wait to get them in the ground under that sun!

2020-04-23 (Day 36) All the girls have bounced back and began to grow with serious vigour! I would have topped her as I did her two sisters the same age but I have nothing left to use for domes so she’ll keep growing naturally until I pick something up. I plan on getting a ton of tops when this mainlined girl is set outside in my flower bed in June. Still 3.5 month of veg left and I want to try and keep her under 6ft tall, we’ll see how that turns out. Stay tuned!!

2020-04-30 (Day 43) Haven't seen asymmetric node spacing like this yet, not this early in veg anyway (psa I don't have too many grows under my belt). I am going to continue the mainline anyway and watch this girl veg for another couple months. She's not showing any deficiencies as of yet. As her new mains grow out I will continue to tie them down and make them as horizontal as possible. Periodically I'll put her and some of the other girls outdoors if its above 15 C and sunny, transplant day is coming soon!

2020-05-05 (Day 48) As I mentioned last week I’m going to progress with the mainline despite the asymmetric node spacing. She’s growing with vigour and like all the other girls seems to have beaten the deficiency she was showing last week. I’m not quite sure where or when I’ll top her again but I will decide once she grows out a bit more. Can’t wait to put her in her final home in less than a month. 2020-04-30 (Day 43) Haven't seen asymmetric node spacing like this yet, not this early in veg anyway (psa I don't have too many grows under my belt). I wanted to mainline my outdoor girls this year and this is the only strain I have that has crazy asymetric node spacing. I Think I should abort the mainline and just LST from this point on. Any other interesting training techniques that this girl could benefit from?

There are lots of ways and methods. The fact that your plant is asymetric should not keep you from doing mainlining or aspiring for a big yield. Have a look at my diaries, you'll see there different mainlining techniques. The idea is to keep it horizontal. Symmetric or not, I am sure you will have a wonderful living sculpture full of swollen buds! Relax, sit back, enjoy the grow and light one up!

2020-05-12 (Day 55) Tied her down some more and began to spread out the 2 new mains. I decided I’ll just continue to tie her near horizontal and let her stretch only during flower. Not a traditional mainline but it’s asymmetric. Growth slowed this week as temps plummeted as I was busy in the hospital having the greatest day of my life! Baby boy was born on The weekend!! He’s perfect and the best thing ever. I unplugged the heater before I left as I didn’t want to leave the fire hazard on. Let her grow! Canada Fuck Yeah🇨🇦🇨🇦

2020-05-19 (Day 62) The big day has come! Transplanted on may 17th into her final home, the bottom half of a 55 gallon drum. Didn’t have a chance to pick up any Gaia Green 4-4-4 or Blood Meal yet but I will this week and top dress. The soil this year is a 50/50 mix of Promix HP and soil from the cows barnyard, kind of was worried about some burn from the mix being too hot but knock on wood everything looks good so far. Last year I solely used Promix HP and GHE nutes. It got quite cumbersome as the media dried up nearly every or every other day and I used so much nutes. I’m going to flush this week then transition to Gaia. Rookie mistake during transplant, upon tying down the 2 mains I split the stem about 1/2” down. Should be fine as she’s still young and has nearly 2 1/2 more months of veg. Only thing resulting I can think of is that I may have to further support the mains later on. Temps are a little cool at night and frost is not 100% out of the question so I’m checking every night for the time being and I’ll cover if it’s in the forecast. Decided I couldn’t really do a traditional mainline on this girl as he had no symmetry among nodes after the 3rd. So I topped and I imagine I’ll just continue to do some extreme LST. Stay tuned and see what the sun can do!🌞🇨🇦

2020-05-25 (Day 68) Gorilla Glue #4 is loving this sun, more than her sisters and is stretching and brushing like mad. Worries have shifted from frost to heat and water as we just went through a hot dry week and we have another week of +30C forecasted. I’ve been watering daily with straight tap water. I went to my local hydro store (40 min drive) to get some Gaia Green to top dress and they were completely sold out of dry amendments. I really don’t want to use liquid nutes again as mixing up 10 gallons every 2-3 nights is extremely taxing and time consuming. I’m going to try and get some but in the mean time of a deficiency begins I will supplement with my liquid GHE nutes for the time being. I broke 1 branch while trying to tape up her manifold split. That is the least of my worries I just hope she pulls through and the manifold heals since this plant is just a beast. I would just love to see this girl grow naturally and just explode in growth! Stay tuned and watch this girl veg for a coupe more months!

2020-06-01 (Day 75) Gorilla 🦍 is the right name for this strain since this girl is a fucking beast! The tallest and greenest of all my girls atm. My outdoors last year had stems the size of 1L pop bottles and this thing is vegging even longer, the split mainline is going to look like a work of art (if this girl survives)! Still no nutes since put outdoors and knock on wood no noticeable deficiencies yet. Drastic temp swings, +33 C and no rain for a week to 8 C and rain. Stick around and watch this thing turn into a sculpture!

2020-06-08 (Day 82) She is a beast, the biggest of all my plants by far. Tomato cage is installed as I should be able to use it to support the split. The split has been healing nicely and my “rough” estimate is that it’ll be healed completely in 3 weeks 🤞. She’s got more Sativa like leaves than all my other strains. Beauty weather and beauty growing conditions, a little dry but I’ve only had to water a couple times so far, nature’s done the majority. Still no nutes and no visible deficiencies. This plant is a true beauty!

She’s just going to be a bushy monster! Smell over powers all my other plants by far! Two spiders have made homes in her so hopefully they can help keep any pests in check. Tomato cage has helped greatly especially on a couple windy days. Still no nutes but I’ll be adding some dry ferts this week, what I add will be in the next diary update. Stay tuned and watch this beast grow!

2020-06-08 (Day 97) Added some dry veg nutes from my local hydro store. Local company and they’re labelled as 9.5-9.5-9.5 (they’re also labelled as bloom nutes for some reason). It’s been hot as fuck, high 30s with humidity and no rain for nearly 2 weeks. Watering nearly every second or third day. I should have left this this girl to grow naturally and seen how massive she could have got, but we’ll make do with the one topping. When taking these photos the split had began to heal nicely, but one little fuck up moving the tomato cage to try and get her more upright and I opened her up a little more than the first time. I tied her back together and I will be way more careful. I’m going to build a wooden support that'll be sufficient to support her throughout the rest of her life, hopefully. This strain smells so much more than any other strain I have going currently, it’s going to reek once flowering starts!

2020-06-30 (Day 104) It hasn’t been quite as warm as it was during the last post, but heat and no rain in the forecast which the girls love (as long as they’re watered). I had to implement liquid nutes with this girl as she’s the only one solely in Promix HP and showing some decent nitrogen deficiencies despite the dry nutes I gave her last week. The GHE flora series never fails! Stay tuned and watch this stinky bitch grow!

2020-07-08 (Day 113) Heat wave is back in full force, supposed to be near 40 C with e humidex the next couple days. I rarely need to water this girl and she has not once dropped from being under watered. Came home from work yesterday to find her and the other two potted sisters drooping just begging for a drink. Gave them some straight tap water from the hose and within 15 minutes they perked right back up. She gets fed nutes roughly once a week, it should definitely be upped but I’ve been way too busy for more frequent feedings. I’ll try to this week, I’ll give her a big blast too, haven’t seen any nute burn yet. The split knock on wood looks pretty healed. Since I fooled myself once I will keep the wire on to keep the split closed for another couple weeks and I will be building a wood support for the junction. This is by far the most aromatic plant I have that’s not in flower currently.

2020-07-15 (Day 120) We had a relief from the heat and dryness with a misty cooler weekend. Just enough rain all weekend to wet the ground so nothing major. The girls still needed water near every second day. Upped it to roughly a water-water-feed schedule and pumped the nutes to her. No burn with that big shot. She’s big and bushy as fuck and going to need a crazy amount of thinning out soon. She’s the biggest of my photos since she was only topped once. Stay tuned 🦍

2020-07-24 (Day 129) This girl is doing amazing despite my lack of feedings. I won’t be growing in these big pots solely in promix HP again, too much feeding, the girls that have cow manure mixed in are so much easier to maintain. I moved her away from the others as she was shaded more than them due to the changing sun patterns and my cedar hedges. I also put four t-posts up and some green wire to support all the branches. The split at the topping split AGAIN! So now I put a block of wood under it. The wood combined with the new wire supports SHOULD prevent the split from happening again. It’s been sunny and warm with little rain, so far knock on wood an amazing summer for growing outdoor. Stay tuned, flowering is just around the corner!

2020-07-31 (Day 136) Of all my current outdoor I have no clue why this has the most likes haha. It’s the least trained and least taken care of, I’m assuming maybe because it’s such a great strain!? Anyway this thing is more or less on a feed every water schedule since the promix hp has no “nutritional value” And she’s still showing some nitrogen deficiencies. I’m going to feed the shit out of her. I really wish I knew where I could source some Gaia Green locally but I have no clue. She’s tied up good and I don’t see how the split can open again 🤞 It’s August, flowering doesn’t seem as far away any more!time for this thing to start smelling!

2020-08-06 (Day 142) Not much to add, we’ve had a break from the dry heat and it rained a couple days this week. I water-feed-water generally for this girl. Usually gets water every 2 days, the promix dries up fast, even when it rains since the canopy shields the pot from getting almost any water. Just thirsty for nitrogen! She isn’t flowering yet but its just around the corner!

2020-08-13 (Day 149) Well I knew this day could come, have to leave town for work for over a week. This is challenging when an outdoor plant is in ProMix HP and you are using liquid nutes. This plant in this medium requires the pumping of liquid nutes, and she’ll only be getting water because I just don’t think the girlfriend can handle mixing nutes correctly. So we may see some more yellowing come the next update. I pumped the transition nutes to her tonight with a double feeding and we’ll see what happens!

2020-08-23 (Day 159) Great week for the outdoor girls! As stated last week I was gone for a week and I had the girlfriend feed only water and everyone took it like a champ. You can see some yellowing leaves that I’ve been battling all season with this girl, hard to keep up feeding with mixing liquid nutes constantly. But the work trip was worth it, got some good overtime and on top of that, picked up a 20kg bag of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 since no one near home carries it. As of posting this I gave all my outdoor girls 1.5 cups of each which should eliminate the need for feeding liquid nutes from here on out! Super stoked 🤟 to get these nutes! Referred to me by my bro’s @hellishjam and @GreenHouseLab 🇨🇦 Calling this week one of flower as she’s putting off tons of hairs now! It’s been extremely humid lately and rainy, my indoor has began getting some powdery white mildew and I’m waiting for my outdoor to start. It’s bad in my area and I suffered last year on 1/2 of my outdoor strains. I’m hoping to pinpoint the most mold resistant strains so I know what to plant outdoors in the future on a larger scale. Stay tuned, we’re in for an interesting fall!

2020-08-30 (Day 166) She’s on the Gaia Green train now! May give her another dose of GHE flora trio just to hold her off for the GG to kick in. Nitrogen deficiency has worked its way up the plant but it’s almost thinning her out for me. She’s due for a major trim, this thing is just an unattended bush! Flowering is beginning and it’s going to get stressful from here on out being vigilant for PWM. Been a very cool August and damp and rainy as of late. Only plus side is that there have been few days with no breeze allowing them to dry out. Flowers should start bulking up soon!

2020-09-06 (Day 173) Deficiencies have migrated upward and effecting newer fan leaves. I believe this is due to the delayed onset of the powdered nutes and this things thirst for Nitrogen. Top dressed them for a second time and added some soil to fill the pots a bit more. I should mention as it’s still early flower the last 2 feedings (only times fed Gaia) were 1 1/2 cups mixed 50/50 of Gaia 4-4-4 and 2-8-5. Gave this plant only another shot of GHE nutes to try and hold her off till the Gaia kicks in. Fall popped out of nowhere and it’s been cool and damp. Had 1 major windstorm and I just got the girls all tied up around 6 ft up. Not a lost branch! PWM has began on the majority of my plants and I sprayed early with 60/40 water/milk and a tablespoon of vinegar. Will hit again next dry day. Praying for dryer weather! ☀️

2020-09-22 (Day 189) She’s gotta bulk up fast she’s been through 3 frosts this week. After each frost I blew her off with my leafblower. Weather has turned for the better and the last 2 nights were more mild with no dew. Rain ahead but I’m still hoping to push her until mid October. Little to no PWM on this strain and knock on wood no bud rot yet. I’m going to defoliate a lot this week to promote airflow, it’ll be time consuming but it’s damp and we’re near the end!

2020-09-30 (Day 198) Almost the absolute worst weather for our area for dope this time of year. 3 frosts and now a week of dampness and rain. All my girls have at least 90% cloudy trichs and either 10% amber or clear. My chopping schedule is now not trich related it’s based on who’s suffering from WPM the worst and who’s got the fattest colas more susceptible to rot. Therefore Dutch auto is in the midst of being chopped as it’s got the fattest colas and some WPM. Next will be BB3 as she’s getting hit hard by WPM. After that it’ll be GG4, which will suck balls as it is just a monster bush. Then either GSC or Purple Berry, both of which seem pretty resistant to the mildew. Purple Berry may be last since it is in the best spot for airflow.

2020-10-07 (Day 205) Trimmed up my Gorilla Glue #4 over a week. Time consuming to trim due to the fact that I didn’t defoliate and this this girl was a legit bush with smaller sticky buds. I know why they call this Gorilla Glue, legit the stickiest strain I’ve had to trim. -I trimmed fan leaves while the plant was still intact, -then cut branches and debudded them, -Buds were then wet trimmed with a bowl trimmer -Buds were then washed in 1cup H2O2 : 5 gallon water solution, -Buds then rinsed off in pure water. -put on drying rack in tent and humidity controlled at 55%-60% with dehumidifier, temp at 65F and two fans running, -after about 4 days buds were put in air proof 5 gallon pale to cure. Original SensiblE Seeds’ Gorilla Glue #4 may be insanely sticky and trich-filled and I’ve seen how amazing the indoor can turn out, but it’s not perfectly suited for our damp outdoor climate. Mainlining was abandoned on this girl due to the butchered reoccurring split where the original topping took place and I did no more training after that. This strain produces small, dense, crystal-laden nugs that legit feel like they are covered in glue. 6/10 on the mold resistance scale as there was some severe WPM although airflow could have been an issue. Despite the smaller buds this girl still managed to bring in 756g (dry) and I am super happy with the yield. I will update taste and effects soon once cured for a bit. This grow serves as a cautious tale to be extra careful when trying to mainline, and also showing what a plant can manage to overcome. Constant mold mitigation makes me not recommend this strain for Outdoors in our climate, but I still have to run this crystal monster indoors. I will update smell, taste and effects.
