2020-10-07 (Day 205) Trimmed up my Gorilla Glue #4 over a week. Time consuming to trim due to the fact that I didn’t defoliate and this this girl was a legit bush with smaller sticky buds. I know why they call this Gorilla Glue, legit the stickiest strain I’ve had to trim. -I trimmed fan leaves while the plant was still intact, -then cut branches and debudded them, -Buds were then wet trimmed with a bowl trimmer -Buds were then washed in 1cup H2O2 : 5 gallon water solution, -Buds then rinsed off in pure water. -put on drying rack in tent and humidity controlled at 55%-60% with dehumidifier, temp at 65F and two fans running, -after about 4 days buds were put in air proof 5 gallon pale to cure. Original SensiblE Seeds’ Gorilla Glue #4 may be insanely sticky and trich-filled and I’ve seen how amazing the indoor can turn out, but it’s not perfectly suited for our damp outdoor climate. Mainlining was abandoned on this girl due to the butchered reoccurring split where the original topping took place and I did no more training after that. This strain produces small, dense, crystal-laden nugs that legit feel like they are covered in glue. 6/10 on the mold resistance scale as there was some severe WPM although airflow could have been an issue. Despite the smaller buds this girl still managed to bring in 756g (dry) and I am super happy with the yield. I will update taste and effects soon once cured for a bit. This grow serves as a cautious tale to be extra careful when trying to mainline, and also showing what a plant can manage to overcome. Constant mold mitigation makes me not recommend this strain for Outdoors in our climate, but I still have to run this crystal monster indoors. I will update smell, taste and effects.

Grow Questions

I wanted to mainline my outdoor girls this year and this is the only strain I have that has crazy asymetric node spacing. I Think I should abort the mainline and just LST from this point on. Any other interesting training techniques that this girl could benefit from?

There are lots of ways and methods. The fact that your plant is asymetric should not keep you from doing mainlining or aspiring for a big yield. Have a look at my diaries, you'll see there different mainlining techniques. The idea is to keep it horizontal. Symmetric or not, I am sure you will have a wonderful living sculpture full of swollen buds! Relax, sit back, enjoy the grow and light one up!

I personally would not do more than 2 weeks in solo cups. Best of luck on the recovery!

@MovingOn,yep not a fan. I will from now after germination plant them in 2 gallon fabric pots. Thanks man!

How much do you water each plant in the solo cups? It's my first time growing and I have about the same setup as you by the look of it as you however i'm unsure as too how much to water to feed them at this stage other then until I see a bit of run off.

@ButtersStotch, Okay, thanks man I was doing a 1/4 and worried I was over watering. 👌
ButtersStotch
ButtersStotchcommented5 years ago
@ethan_voort, just a very tiny bit man. I just since this post overwatered the little girls and it really delays growth and they droop pretty bad, not enough oxygen at the roots. Depending on your medium I would do maybe 1/2-1 cup at a time. Stick your finger in about an inch and if she’s dry give her some water.

Like Mr. Jones said, Always look enviously to your next weeks post. Simply amazing. Come on, Let us in on the secret. Has to be something. Hell I’d put a dead squirrel at the bottom of the pot before filling, if I could get those results. That’s it!, isn’t it? Probably can’t find a 🐿️ within a mile of your house. LOL. Well Done.🌱👍

Gorgeous 🌱. I too swear by GHE flora ferts. If I had anything resembling your outside grows I’d only need one harvest every ten yrs. lol nursery quality pot grows. I long to grow an outside beast, not happening. A lot cheaper then the warehouse of apparatus it takes us inside guy’s to get a fraction of the bud. Envious 🍒🌱👏
JP148
JP148commented4 years ago
@ButtersStotch, you right , if only the lighting not bad. Add ferts. heater, fans and exhaust, dehumidifier and humidifier and you have a nut. I’m afraid to even figure cost per oz. whatever it is, it keeps me out of the bars and casinos. Lol
ButtersStotch
ButtersStotchcommented4 years ago
@@JP148, I agree man cheaper by far and a fraction of the work until harvest haha. But to be honest I love the control we have over the environment indoors, if only lighting didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

@ChefDan420, hoping for a lb but man I’m worried that we have a damp fall in store for us. Hopefully we can keep the PWM and bud rot at bay. This girl is due for a major haircut!

Wow!!! Mouth dropping, cool plant! I love to have such nice plants!!! Btw, idk about germinating in two gallons pot. I tried that and my Chem dog And tom ford bag -seed didn't work. I think because the pot were to wet.. I haven't try the fabric yet. Happy grow and keep those plants looking good!!!! 🌱🌱🌱🌱
ButtersStotch
ButtersStotchcommented4 years ago
@DBanned, I have better luck with my seedlings in larger pots which I agree is weird. I tend to overwater in solo cups more often than the large pots. Idk why haha. But I’m loving the fabric pots for indoors, mind you I’ve yet to flower a plant in them and I’m guessing that it’s going to be a bitch requiring water daily, we’ll see
