Thurs day 83
What I'm waiting for is the blossom stages of the pistols, I'm looking for three events, hence, all the top shots of new pistols, orange, then the folding in. This al occurs at the same time, so I kinda have to pay attention to what's going on. So, at this stage, I'm looking at the almost zero new white pistols, and all the orange pistols.
The leaves that are dying is ok, the color change is loss of clhorapyhll and for the lime colored one nitrogen defeciency. The plant is cannibalizing for nutrients. As I have read. Just let those fall off.
The smell is interesting, for the past several days, the aroma as you walk around 15 feet away has been sweet tropical faint, green veg, faint skunk. The overtone would always be faint skunk. I's walk by and think, who the hell is smoking weed? Or, the overtone would be sweet tropical fruit. Yesterday, that overtone was super strong weed, not skunk, not sweet fruit, just bam in your face strong strong weed. The terpenes are, I guess binding to release that profile, I don't know how all that works. Today, the overtone was weed again, but the floral fruit is very evident closer.
Relative Humidity and weather in general, this week same pattern as last week, for light and temp, for rh last week was high, last week was tropical, This week a little nicer, finishing a bit cooler. They'll finish by then. I guess.
Anyway, sat will be the end of week 12 and these are done. I just have to check them cause I don't know what I'm looking at, at this point. I'm expecting to see seed covers next, after the hairs quit coming, but I really have no clue.
I'm thinking next, hope for colder days to concentrate the sugars for flavor, also to make the leaves darker. Those are just beliefs, All I really know is not to go out too far past peak harvest time. The dark one is a really pheno, indica dominant, the lighter one smells good too, that one is a little bit later.
watering, watch for overwatering, the plants will uptake it, but will transpire it out the leaves if you water too much. I'm down to 400ml on the dark one, the light one is about 800ml still so it hasn't slowed down. the reason you don't want too much water is mold, white powder mold is a bitch cause that's a time eater looking for it, but that's part of it,,
Bugs? I saw a ladybug. I was lucky I had a mantis in my early plant stages, I think the bug at any critters in the underside world of the leaf. the ladybug has been a residence for a while now. No bugs, no eggs, no white flies, no inch worms no leaf hoppers. I grinded the heads of 4 leaf hoppers the entire grow. Those are the little dots you see on your leaves, bite marks. Hence the chitin in oyster shell flour and crab shell. That's the natural insect eckoskeleton destroyer. Also the watering amount, more water means a environment for gnats, you don't want gnats. dry soil quick dry, something that doesn't sop.
I'll load other pics later,
