After nearly 20 years of not growing, I decided to start again. After some research, the decision was made to use Coco Coir as the medium.
Initially, 4 seeds were germinated and placed into their final 2 gallon smart pots. It became quickly apparent that I overwatered them and stunted the 3 seeds that sprouted from the Coco. I was able to dig up and transplant the 2 healthier sprouts into a passive Hydro/Kratky system.
Being stubborn, I still wanted to try my hand at Coco with one plant, so after germinating a Glueberry OG Auto seed, I placed it into Coco in a red cup. I was too cautious about the "don't transplant autos" warnings and figured I'd risk the potential transplant shock for a much easier to maintain sprout. After thinking about keeping up different Coco and DWC nutrient solutions for an entire grow, I decided I made a mistake...so I dug up the Glueberry on day 4, and put her into a passive Kratky system to get started as well. The transplant worked well, and I'm now off and running...
