- PSK is really stunted unfortunately. So stunted when trying to do some LST work one of her colas broke off because she is just stubby and thick. :( Going to just leave her for a bit. Really might just let her run free from here on out, she's difficult to train, and gets stressed out easy. Not sure if it's this plant, strain itself, or simply my inexperience (though GDPs are looking great IMO). Next time I'm running this strain alone to better dial in.
- PSK EC runoff is really high these days (~1.3). We've flushed her with some pH'ed 6.0 water for 24 hours instead of regular feeding to bring down excess nute build up. We want her in the 0.800 EC zone at this stage, think she's overfed now because of her lack of growth compared to the GDPs.
- GDP is just growing like a beast as mentioned. We did a little flush as I was seeing light nute burn on some of the new tips. EC was way up to 1.3-1.4, which is too high at this stage of the game. They got two flushes which brought them down to 0.860 EC, and I'm going to be backing off on my nute feed and re-adjust. Look for week 6 nutes levels, these are too high. Think I was trying to overcompensate for PSK, but looks like less is more.
Lessons learned this week:
- Less is more sometimes.
- Check your runoff EC more often.
- If your plant is stunted be extra careful when training, or consider minimal to no training.
