Calmag def is improving in 2 clones. Now using RO water only with CaliMagic (5.5ml/gal - overdrive to help compensate for prev def) FIM'd Cosmic Serpent and Top'd New Berry 4/13. Waiting for PE to catch up will likely transplant next week. Netting will also be installed as soon as PE is transplanted, expecting to flip to 12/12 around May 2. All lights and second 4" carbon filter are now installed, able to maintain good temps with all lights 100%, for now though leaving 3000k dimmed 50% until flower - should put current total light output around 270-280w. ** Check out Live Stats and Timelapse of the Grow - http://grocab.thendawg.org **

Additional topping/fim'ing on both New Berry and Cosmic Serpent. Pineapple Express is still trying to catch up. PE is getting calmag only at this point. NB/CS were given 3.5ml/gal A/B on this weeks first watering, but showed slight signs of burn, so backing off to 2ml/gal. New Berry still showing possible cal deficiency, as well as light stress, since moving lights up another 4in new growth seems to have improved.

Thinking New Berry is poss exp cal def, def had light stress but improving, also heard an excess can look like a def, so with starting to feed Canna A/B perhaps Im overfeeding calmag? open to any suggestions/criticism, please note, material is Coco Loco, diff than 100 coco, esp ph

Man I am not sure thats Calcium That pattern is troubling but I do see nitrogen toxicity, the burnt tips, clawing leaves. Start there by backing off that cal-mag to 2ml/gal that should prevent any def long enough to fix this. Cal-Mag can cause burning something I had to find out the hard way 😵 good luck

Final top on CS and NB performed early in week First top on PE this week. 1 Gal on CS and NB with 2ml/gal calimagic. .75 Gal on PE with 2ml/gal calimagic Added scrog and defoliated under the net mainly CS, a bit on NB. Switching to flower on 4/29, well just see what the PE gives us being several weeks behind the other two. **Check out the grow stats live with a timelapse at http://grocab.thendawg.org/**

NB/CS – 4.5ml/gal A/B – 4ml/gal Boost – 1.5ml/gal CalMag – 1ml/gal PK Pineapple Express – 2.5ml/gal A/B – 2ml/gal Boost – ½ tap no CalMag – 1ml/gal PK Deficiencies seem to be improving after doing a flush in the transition to flower, but still seeing distorted growth and some random discoloration on fan leaves of New Berry, growth continues to be normal though.

Started using 2/3 Ro 1/3 Tap - seems to work best for plants and provides 150ppm base which works great with Canna nutes. Ph'ing to 6.1-6.2 has yielded best results thus far. New Berry still does weird things but growth matches other plants.

Keeping ph around 6.1. Good flower sites developing on all plants. Running out of vertical room, light is maxed height wise, but stretch looks to have stopped or almost stopped. Performed minor defol at end of week 3

Stretch intensifies... By the end of the week theyve started to level out. Cola development is good, only NB shows signs of stress on some top sugar leaves (the problematic plant all along)

Stretch appears to have completed improved bud development. Lights are currently dimmed to 250w (measured on dmm/clamp at driver output) Again, only NB shows stress signs, all have minor tip burn, will be reducing nutes in upcoming weeks. Temps are also a bit high as AC struggles to keep the room temp down. Light change incoming :D Stay tuned!

Pineapple express getting close to finishing - cosmic serpent still a ways out but developing nicely, newberry (center) which has been problematic all along has created a lot of foxtails, but certainly nice looking flower, not sure at this point if it was simply stress throughout the grow, light stress, or if it cant handle the higher temps as well as the other two strains.

Installed water cooled cob proof of concept - new cobs are also 3500/2700k instead of 4000/3000k. Results exceeded expectations, however, as water/aluminum temp tends to settle 5-10F over ambient, its beneficial to insulate the rig (note some of the towels still on in in the pic - well they actually got stuck to some thread sealant lol) Future 3d printed base design which only exposes aluminum block for cob->water interface is in the works, potential availability. Pineapple express is being fed only water at this point and will be harvested mid week 9. (June 26) At this point its likely that Newberry wont improve even with lowered temps and light distance, however, it looks like itll make some great hash rosin :)

Straight RO water to both plants during this week as harvest will be 7/6. (Day 68F) Pineapple Express was pulled from the bin after ~7 days - dry trimmed and jarred. Final dried/trimmed weight 3.89oz/109g total - 89g from upper/top colas, 20g from lowers - still doesnt include the really larfy stuff in the trim bag, not planning to weigh that lol.

Welp I messed the date calculation up a bit, technically the harvest (7/6/2020 - Day 68F) was at the end of week 10, turns out I had the start date marked off by 2 on my calendar, oh well :) New Berry of course turned out a foxtail mess, but still smells delic, looks pretty, and is covered in trichs, so I think it will still be quite enjoyable :) The cosmic serpent had foxtailed a bit too, which caused me to go ahead and decide to harvest, even if I wouldve liked to have given it just a smidge longer. I did much more extensive testing with the water cooled cob rig than originally planned, so by the time I got it in, the day temps had been 85-86F for at least a couple weeks during flower. Once I got the rig in, they dropped to 78-80F, but I think it was a bit too late to stop the stress. Def excited to enjoy both :) Plan to post a final update once I get to cure and sample all strains! An improved water cooled light rig as well as upgraded ac are in store for next round!
