Hey guys and gals. This is my first proper grow using 4 females from RQS. Only watering for the first week with non ph water. Day 7 - both queens are growing nicely and so is the fruit spirit. Gorilla is the slowest but still going strong. Any advice and help is very much appreciated! Happy growing!

Does the PH in the water matter if using biobizz soil and nutrients? Leaving the tap water overnight to evaporate the chlorine of course... heard so many things online but does anyone know for sure? Cheers

Hi @Greenbean420 The PH of the irrigation water will control the PH value of your soil. If you water with a high PH, the soil will also have a high PH. All fertilizers tend to lower the pH of the water but it is always necessary to adjust with PH down, just as when you only give water you also have to adjust the pH to 6. I use the PH down from biobizz and I think it's great. On aliexpress they sell good PH meters for € 20. Tap water has to rest in open bottles away from sunlight to evaporate all the chlorine, the chlorine in 2L of water takes 24 hours to completely evaporate. for example if you have the water in 5L bottles you will have to leave it 2 and a half days for the chlorine to completely evaporate. Good luck mate

Special Queens are on the left Royal Gorilla (smallest one) Fruit spirit (black pot) Still only watering when dry as the soil has 3-4 weeks worth of nutrients 2 plants look they are having ph lockout issues (small yellow patches) so I'm using vinegar to lower the ph of the water lol, i have ordered some ph down from biobizz Day 14 - girls were transferred into 10 litre pots for veg on day 13, will be transferred again into 20 litre fabric pots before flower

(Not autos) I've topped before, but was wondering can you achieve the same yield just LSTing without topping, or is it best to do both? I know there's lots of info online but i feel more reassured listening to you guys lol, cheers

Well if you do a good job of LST, it can produce more, note "can". A lot depends on the plant/strain, topping just adds a growth tip and bushes out the plant until the tops recover. LST is going to bring bud sites into the light that topping just cannot duplicate, and keep plant size sort of managed. That said topping is done in a few minutes and thats it, LST will have to be touched up several times a week at certain stages. So... you da man

Day 36 and the girls are on day 1 of flower. Hopefully they wont get too tall for the tent 😂 Slight yellowing on some of the tips of the new leaves, don't think its light burn as lights are more than 20 inches from the top. So i'm going to only water with a ph of 6-6.5 for a week or two as the added soil had nutrients in, so it could be slight nutrient burn

Day 85 - all the girls are now 49 days into flower, week 7. Day 54 - let the branch that snapped off Special Queen Beta dry for 4 days before smoking a joint, it deffiently looks like some nice dank! Purple tints too. The taste and smell is very sweet and unique and gives a nice head high 👌 Queen alpha is looking very close to harvest, all leaves are yellowing and the buds look beautiful and dence. Fruit spirit is also looking close to harvest

Day 94, day 58 in flower - giving queen alpha 48 hours of darkness before chopping her down. I will then try give her a 10-12 day dry before uploading the result. Queen beta and fruit spirit are still only getting water. And the gorilla seems to be enjoying the nutes!

Omg what a strain! She smells sweet but with a skunky smell. The taste is the same and is very smooth but after 1 joint i turned into a baked potato lol. The colours are beautiful, tints of dark and light green and bits of purple! Deffiently will be growing this strain again and would recommend growing her. Day 96 and 60 days of flower is all she took to produce the amazing buds.

day 101, day 65 of flower - all girls are packing on the weight and fruit looks nearly ready! Queen alpha is still drying Day 67 - fruit spirit is now in the dark for 48 hours. Queen alpha is on day 7 of drying but im aiming for 12 days which is fine as the buds still look and feel wet. Also im watering gorilla now as she should only have 2/3 weeks left.

I had to cut her down early so I didn’t get the full potential, however I grew this strain again after this grow and it tasted very fruity and like pine. It was very frosty and was one of my favourite strains I’ve grown so far!

Day 70 of flower - queen alpha had a 10 day dry, shes now all trimmed up. I will keep her on the trays for another day or 2 as shes still abit wet and sticky. I will post the harvest when shes fully dried👽 the smell is just amazingly beautiful Queen beta looks likes shes ready, seems she didnt respond well to the FIM as shes got small but dense nugs. Gorilla is now being fed only water as she should be coming to the end, nice big nugs on her and shes supposed to be the highest thc!

Completely forgot to update this!! If I find any pictures of the harvest I will upload them. I believe I got around 60-70 grams of her, I also remember I pulled her down early unfortunately (didn’t have a choice) so the high, smell and taste wasn’t at its peak.
