I'm growing these 2 completely different than the 1st 2....these were topped and LST'd to keep em short and an even canopy to my so-so lights. Both are growing far better, fatter, and healthier with the topping and LST than the 1st 2 that I let grow as they wanted. I expect more from these 2....the next few weeks will tell!
So far, so good....lotsa flowers, strong stems, good leaf shape, color & growth. LST has definitely opened up the inner area to new colas. I'm happy, they're happy :)
Both girls are healthy and happy. Buds are solid although still a bit small. Today my Mars Hydro TSW2000 arrived and it's already unpacked and hung. I raised the light dustance to 45 cm. I also moved the cheapo 100w LED to 2 new FastBuds Zkittlz Auto seedlings. Wow, what a difference good lighting makes!! The Mars Hydro TSW2000 is well made, easy to install and bright-ass daylight LED!! I expect to see significant fattening of the buds over the next 2-3 weeks.
Update: I swear the existing buds doubled in size within the last 24 hrs after switching out the light to the Mars Hydro. I'm excited to see how these 2 finish.
4/22 update: I'll be damned! The box from the new light (which is heavy, double wall corrugated) fell onto both plants...I heard snapping everywhere! Good ole electrical tape to the rescue!! These girls look wounded with all this black tape! It's several hours after bandaging and I see no wilting or noticable changes....keeping my fingers crossed!
The videos show both plants pretty well recovered from the damage except the purple stems and veins. I have some cal/mag coming Monday.... hoping that will fix that issue. Both are loving this new light and continue to pack on the bud weight.
Well, after the crash and snap last week, they're both still packing on bud weight and size. I raised the light to 45 cm and hope to have the cal/mad nutes tomorrow. Both are showing stress...I'm sure a combo of the new Led light, the breakage on the stems and now what appears to a nute issue. Overall I think both still look great and will be decent producers at harvest.
14 days flowering under the Mars Hydro TSW2000 ... fat, chunky nuggets and colas abound. Both are struggling since the branches got snapped but both are still hanging in there. I suspect another 10-14 days and both will be ready to harvest. Aside from the branch breakage and ensuing nute issues I also had high ph readings. After repairs and bringing down the ph both seem to be taking up nutes again with new white pistils popping. I can't wait to try it!!
So ganga growers....week 14 (for the past 17 days of flowering they are under a Mars TSW2000)...no amber trich heads yet but mostly milky trichs....should I harvest or wait another week?
I chopped 1 of them 5/10....72 hrs
dried and trimmed is 26 gm. I'll do a harvest post once I chop her sister this weekend and I get a total "dry" weight. Right now she gets to bask in the glow of that 300w LED herself.
Unless you have a tall grow space nip these in the bud...fim away...keep em short and stout. They love LST! I even had a branch breaking, main stem splitting catastrophe...taped up the wounds with electrical tape and still harvested a bounty of solid nuggets.
Good job man! They look fantastic. I have a lemon ak growing in week 3. The smell just from a stem rub is intoxicating! They’re definitely lanky girls but solid genetics. Can’t wait to see your harvest! Keep up the good work 👍
@ChuckShady, thank you!
Oh, you're so right about that lovely lemony smell! Every time I bump or brush a branch or bud they emit that delicious smell! I topped and did a good deal of LST with these 2...the first 2 I let grow as they wanted but they got too tall for my space....about 115 cm. I wanted to see if the Autos could take some training...and the answer is yes! They adapt quickly and hardily to LST.
