Really rough start, lost a few seedlings due to over stretching and not recovering. Growing medium is coco thats been washed and buffered with calmag. These 2 stayed short but I think I let them go without nutrients for a couple days too long. Started feeding yesterday at 1/4 strength. One has white tips on its leaves, hoping it was just from lack of nutes. Tried to use the hlg550 as a seedling light and I think it overstretched, and then I put it too close for a few days (dialed down to 50%). Started some more seeds, they are on day 2 now from sprout, under a cheap LED light, will put them under the big light in a few days? Definately think the 2 GSC were stunted compared to similar timelines ive seen, I think these are like day 10 already lol. Going to feed nutes earlier to the 3 seedlings and be more careful with stretching. I have the light at around 19" from top, dialed to about 60%, hope thats good. I have a lux meter coming to try and match some lux readings from other grows just to get me in the right ballpark hopefully (no par meter). TDS runoff from this feeding was 350. Tap water left out overnight has a TDS of around 170.

How far from canopy for HLG 550 during each stage? After starting with a cheap LED, without getting a par meter I think 18" @ 50% power, or 32" @ full power for veg? Start higher and increase power every few days?

Try not to over think things and par meter you don't need one use common sense the hlg is an easy light to use mine is 3000k, never had a problem with stretching of baby plants, had to stake a couple to support them until the stems thicken, what K is your light? Looking at the pics the height is good and 50% also good. It's not necessary to feed bloom nutes and at that age I still have them under a dome with the vent open. I've had my light at all heights from what you got in your pics (no lower) to as high as 48". During veg the chase for the ideal light height will just do your head in. When it's in flower you start to lower the light to that Goldilocks zone and see what you can get away with, I wouldn't leave anything on top of the hlg keep it clean unless you want to nip a bud and test it 😜 good luck! 🐞

Successfull transplant of the solo cup girls yesturday. Not much root ball development compared to other root porn pics ive seen, gonna do clear cups inside red cup next time so I can see the changes. I upped the nutes on first 2 to 1/2 str nutes, 800ppm. Giving the other 2 (day 12 ones) 1/4 str nutes. Lux is about 15k @ 22inches, thinking I need to start upping the brightness or maybe just lowering it by a couple inches? I havnt seen much about people using these nutes in coco (they use the sensi or coco A & B) but im going to keep it going and see how they do. I have a Remo supercharged kit that I will be using on 4 Mephisto seeds soon :)

2 identical girls, 1 tacoing Just wondering if this looks like over watering (need to start letting to dry out more) or nutes/light? Coco,800ppm, tap water, 6ish PH, 1/2 str nutes a few days now but taco for a solid week + 15000lux/230pfd, 22" height 24/0 cycle

Could be a symptom of windburn, if you have a strong fan directly on them
