Early in week 4, these are doing very well. I just added nutrients, at half the recommended amount as per advice I received here. Thanks y'all. I'm not over-watering this round either.
They are still inside at night because it gives me a chance to keep them under light until they're finally transplanted outside. That's this weekend if the weather holds.
I thought folks might want to see my setup. 5 gallon "air" pots with a catch tray filled with a combo fill that I'll write about next week if anyone cares. Essentially, it's enhanced garden soil (not potting), about 1/3 coco I had leftover and Perlite.
I'm using tomato cages I cut down some because I already had them and they'll support the ladies during LST. Once they are tall and dense, I can move them further apart by moving some of my other plants. That's why it's a raised bed with pots rather than a raised bed with fill.
The raised bed is in an unused space between our deck and patio. On the deck is mounted PVC that rolls. I'm attaching outdoor fabric to that I can roll it out in case they need to be protected from the elements or simply covered for a bit. The fabric will go over the cages and attach to the bean trellis in front.
A lot of this we had or were doing anyway, but that feature is unique to this herb.
Finally, we're adding drip irrigation to our gardens this year. If by chance someone reads this and used drip irrigation outside for their grow, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Does it seem like I'm ready to harvest? I'm looking for about 20-30% amber trichomes, but I don't want to lose growth potential either. This is an auto, probably Early Miss- week 13 from seed. They're bud pictures from an outdoor grow. TIA
@hannabis420, thanks. First grow outside. Still nervous I'll mess up over the next 3 or 4 weeks. Wasn't planning to grow photos, but am so glad I did. Hope yours are going well too.
@PotentiallyPotent, I wish I could remember. Haha. They got mixed up during the day and night rotation. When they're a little bigger I hope I can tell the difference. They all sorta look like White Widow to me because I'm a newbie.
@Mowiewowie, it's a USB microscope I bought on Amazon. I'm sure I didn't pay more than $30 for it. Once you download the software/app, it's point and click.
