Started 5 Blue GodISS from Jah Seeds. Plan is to start them in the tent with the auto and put it outside around the middle of june. So far all 5 seeds are up and looking good. Except for one that just got turned around.
Started feeding the babies this weekend. Be my first crack with green planets dual fuel, no complaints so far. Not really sure what is up with the runt. It dropped its first set of true leaves, but seems to be developing another. We will see what happens.
Had my ph meter check right out this week. First it wouldnt hold calibration, now it just doesn't calibrate at all. So needless to say, the plants went through some nasty ph swings this week. A bit of damage was done. But nothing that can't be fixed.
Plants seem to be coming back from the pH problem. Just going to rock them out in the solo cups for a bit. Then at the end of the week switching to 12/12. Hopefully just a smooth week of growth.
Transplanted and topped the godiss this week. They were starting to get root bound in the solo cups. Plan is to veg until about mid june in the 1 gallon and then transfer to a 5 gallon to go outside. The runt is turning into something special. It is growing 3 mains pretty well at the dirt. Should be a good one.
Started sexing the plants this week. Looks like 2 girls, 2 boys and the 3 way runt. Had a few more spots appear. So we upped the calmag a bit. Probably going to start hardening the girls off and getting them ready for the move outside. Soil is already prepped, just finished cooking, recipe is in photos.
Just another week of veg in the books. Weather wasn't the greatest the last week, so they are still inside. Didn't really do much other then stick them in the corner and wait out the week.
Another week down for the girls, and yet another week where the 3 way runt remains a mystery. Delayed hardening off the girls since it was a bad week weather wise. Hoping to get them outsideby next week and in the soil a week after that.
Two big girls got hardened off this week. They spent their first night outside, last night. Also started watering them every second day to ease the transition to soil. The 3 way runt is still inside, waiting on to see what sex it is.
Big week for the blue godiss. Traded one for a few black sugar clones, not sure where they will end up. Got the girl im keeping in her 15 gal pot with soil. She seems to be handling the transition well. She did take a bit of damage from the heat as it sorted out the transition to soil. Seems to come out the other side tho. The runt is just carrying on. Regrettably I think we may have another male. I'm going to isolate it, switch to 12/12 and see what happens over the next week.
Was an eventful week for the blue godiss. The runt finally confirmed its sex. Too bad, its a male. The last remaining plant carrys on outside. So far it has survived, its first downpour, a little bit of high stress training, and a not so nice visit from an actual skunk. But this girl is strong. Shes getting big and just full steam ahead.
Had some heavy rain and a ton of heat this week and the gal just pushed right through, even took a bit more abuse. Overall it seems to be coming well. Only complaint is about the location. I wouldn't mind opening the area up more. But at the same time, I really think the partial shade is really helping with the heat and rain.
Just another week down with no real issues, other then a few bugs. Had a bit of a cold spell. Did get the spot opened up some more, so it should really help with growth.
Gave the old girl a bit of water from a bubble hash run this week. Other than that its still just straight water from the hose and rain. Snapped a few more of the tops over again, to enhance the bush shape. Overall its been a pretty solid week.
Basically left her alone this week, nothing really special to report. Noticed a few caterpillars but I don't think it's any thing to worry about yet. Just going to keep an eye on it.
Put a support in to keep the girl standing upright. Also gave her a top dressing of organic fertilizer. First time seeing this brand. Apparently they make a build your own soil kit type of supersoil. This is just the first part, but the ingredients list looks quite promising. Just followed the package for top dressing.
The big girl seems to be loving her top feeding. She stretched out a good bit this week, days are shortening up so we should be starting flower in the next few weeks.
Did notice a few of these little fellas around (last pic), are they bad?
Looks like a leafhopper, yeah. which is at least better than having a cricket infestation as they only suck fluid from the plant, rather than eating it.
Catch some spiders and let loose around your plant, or just let the hoppers be, they won't kill your plant, but they'll make it look less appealing.
Put about a dozen spiders around the plant to try and combat the bugs. Might jave been fruitless but it can't hurt. Other than that, she seems to be healthy and loving life. Still probably a week or two from flower.
What can I say, another week down, another week of getting bigger. Just business as usual this week. Looks like flower is just about to start. Just picked up the flower part to the ucann organics line. Probably going to start doing weekly top dressings with it from now until harvest.
Another week down, and I can say we are officially into flower. Spiders didn't seem to help with my little leaf hopper problem, but she seems to be happy nonetheless. Started feeding her with the next part of the ucann line. Gave it a top dressing of 1 cup of it.
Another week down, pretty uneventful. The leaf hoppers are still around, but she doesn't seem to care. I'm liking the way the colas are shaping up, looks promising. Going to be interesting to see if it shows any fall colors, as its right around the corner.
Well its a big week. Temperatures plummeted this week and we have a few days of nothing but rain in the forecast. So needless to say, she now spends her nights and the rainy days like this. In the building with supplementary light. Its not much but it should keep her going. And the main thing keep her dry. I will say, this girl already took a nasty frost when I couldn't get to her. Spent the whole night around 30F without a covering. She took it like a champ. Hopefully there is no surprises lurking.
It was a rough week for the old girl. First she was starved for light as she waited out the storm inside. Then she got a few good days in, before a run in with the wind split it at the wye, it almost ripped a whole side off. Quick tie up and some tape wrapped around and hopefully she can make it to the end.
But hey on the positive, fall is officially here, bring on the pretty colors.
Gave the girl a light feeding last weekend. Was going to give it another week, but shitty weather lead to a bit of mold on a few tops. Had just the start of mold on 5 or 6 tops. So decided to yank her tomorrow. Overall not bad. Thing smells great, like sweet berries.
All in all it was a pretty girl that never hit her prime. Between losing about 10 grams of tops to mold, having to chop at least 2 weeks before I wanted to, and the weather not cooperating, I'm still happy with the end result. What is there might not look amazing, but the smell makes up for it. Got 40 grams of decent sized bud and another 47 of popcorn thats will go to hash. Update more after cure.
