Hey everyone, I'm super stoked to be sharing my first outdoor grow with all of you. I've grown cannabis indoors before and grown other plants outdoors but this is pretty much my first time growing cannabis outside. I will be running 2 Cropking Candy Cane Autofems. My parents and I built a cold frame in the back yard to start some plants early for the garden. The two CK Candy Canes have already sprouted in there in storebought soil with a bed of zesty clover mix as a cover crop. I've already chopped and dropped those sprouts once and will be doing so throughout the grow. I have also watered them with a mix of General Hydroponics Subculture M & B to innoculate the rootzone with a healthy mix of microbes. In addition I added a small handful of dry fertilizer (biofert organic 6-2-7) and a healthy amount of worm castings as a topdress and worked into the top layer of soil.

Just starting to poke out their first divided leaves. Put some mushroom mulch around the base of the stem to prevent the cover crop from moving in too close and blocking out light to the tiny seedling. It's been raining here today and it looks like it gonna continue but our cold frame allows us to control how much water gets on the seedlings (which is nice). Gave them their first compost tea consisting of green and brown vegetative matter, worm castings, some mushroom compost, and General Hydroponics subcultures M and B. Used the leftover vegetative material as mulch. Trimmed cover crop again.

Slowly growing out some more leaves. I'm guessing it's still putting out most of it's energy in to roots. The leaf growth has sped up a little bit though. Chopped the cover crop again. Drilled drainage holes in the side of the container to insure proper drainage. Added a compost tea. It had worn castings, kelp meal, insect frass, mycorhyzae powder, bacillus powder, em1, some leafy green material, and some high carbon peat moss. Was brewed for 24 hours and applied liberally. Identified some knotweed in my container and promptly plucked it out. This stuff spreads rapidly and overwhelmed the whole garden in years past. I'm definately gunna have to keep an eye out for this ones return.

Have been adding microbe tea once or twice a week to keep the soil's microbeasties alive thriving. Growth has been picking up with the warmer weather but I've had to water a lot more to keep up. Added neem meal and kelp meal as a topdress.

Just starting to put out some serious growth. One of the plants has put out its pistils but is still super small. The other is even smaller but had not yet showed any signs of preflower.
